She also contributed to the picking of Masters, working closely with Faldeus Dioland, a representative of the government.

I didn't catch that the first time i watched this. So i guess Francesca had a run-in with Jeanne d'Arc before.
For a little context: Francesca/Francesco Prelati was an Italian alchemist and friend of the late Gilles de Rais.
I will pass on the utterly abominable things Prelati did with Gilles (or not. There's debates on whenever Gilles did those crimes or not). But Strange Fake Prelati is interested on doing horrible things on Jeanne. Because Prelati is fucking insane.
