As Joselito said, it's mainly reflexes for the spacebar dodge, and always watching for if it's yellow or blue. I can't help you much for the blue and orange notes, as I've just gotten good at dodging special notes from playing.

Time for a hottake on indie cross's nightmare mode. Update time Mf's. Devils gambit: arguably the easiest out of the 3 nightmares. -throws every mechanic from the regular cuphead fight but not in a unfair way -short song (around 2 minutesi think?) -entrance perfectly sets the atmosphere for devils gambit. -cuphead's movement is solid and not choppy. -scroll speed is alright for first nightmare. Overall. A 8/10 Bad time: (be ready for me being biased) - no entrance. Just straight into the song -uses the orange+blue notes more effectively. -new blue+orange zone mechanic that adds more challenge -song is around 3 mins (guessing at this point.) -design+broken hall fit bad time perfectly. -with sans twitching during his idle. you can feel this sense of impatience like sans just wanting to murder you. -song's a bop.(enough said lmao) Overall. 9/10 Despair: -bendy dropping from the sky makes a unsettling entrance that fits him. -song is 5 minutes long. (Enough said.) -uses Bendys notes more harshly. Punishing even the tiniest mistakes -the butcher gang appears halfway through. -the stage legit burns up when the song is almost finished -with bendys sadistic nature. it makes sense why he looks like that.(watch nightmare run on what he does to bf to understand why.) -bendy dosent care about fairness. he just wants you dead and that PERFECTLY. fits his character. Yes I know this seems cheap and all that but I noticed that on the shaky bit with bf and sans singing that’s it’s the same chart on either side (including orange and excluding blue notes) so you may want to use that to your advantage, however I believe you may want to hit every note bc I believe if you miss a note and end up hitting it too late you may end up hitting a blue note on bf’s side so it can be quite unforgiving

Devils gambit: arguably the easiest out of the 3 nightmares.
-throws every mechanic from the regular cuphead fight but not in a unfair way
-short song (around 2 minutesi think?)
-entrance perfectly sets the atmosphere for devils gambit.
-cuphead's movement is solid and not choppy.
-scroll speed is alright for first nightmare.
Overall. A 8/10
Bad time: (be ready for me being biased)
- no entrance. Just straight into the song
-uses the orange+blue notes more effectively.
-new blue+orange zone mechanic that adds more challenge
-song is around 3 mins (guessing at this point.)
-design+broken hall fit bad time perfectly.
-with sans twitching during his idle. you can feel this sense of impatience like sans just wanting to murder you.
-song's a bop.(enough said lmao)
Overall. 9/10
Despair:
-bendy dropping from the sky makes a unsettling entrance that fits him.
-song is 5 minutes long. (Enough said.)
-uses Bendys notes more harshly. Punishing even the tiniest mistakes
-the butcher gang appears halfway through.
-the stage legit burns up when the song is almost finished
-with bendys sadistic nature. it makes sense why he looks like that.(watch nightmare run on what he does to bf to understand why.)
-bendy dosent care about fairness. he just wants you dead and that PERFECTLY. fits his character.

Yes I know this seems cheap and all that but I noticed that on the shaky bit with bf and sans singing that’s it’s the same chart on either side (including orange and excluding blue notes) so you may want to use that to your advantage, however I believe you may want to hit every note bc I believe if you miss a note and end up hitting it too late you may end up hitting a blue note on bf’s side so it can be quite unforgiving
