@@ronontech Dynamic transducers in headphones have different ability to absorb distortions. Changing the character of the sound using EQ is actually artificially introducing some distortion into the sound. By doing it your way, you can only compare the transducer's ability to absorb this distortion. If you want to listen and compare headphones, set eq to zero :)
Hi Ron ! I just listen to this video. And i must admit that i totally agree with you on the xm5. I like the mystique but they lack in bass and when you tweak the bass a little bit, you have distortion in the sound. I see the mystique for audiophile people who wants to have a neutral sound. The xm5 are more fun earbuds because of the bass and they have a more energetic sound and vocals sound much clearer than the mystique. So, mystique= audiophile analytic sound And xm5= fun earbuds with good bass and energetic sound.

Hey Ron Noble-FoKus Mystique is on another level in sound in my opinion respectfully !
They have the really good mids and highs, but lack the power in it's bass. They're great for audiophiles.
