Allen played out of his mind in that game … How the hell would it be his fault? McDermott always fails when the lights shine bright. The Chiefs were not a good offense this year, they weren’t a good offense in the game that followed this game… It’s McDermott why doesn’t anybody see this?
You are wrong, no healthy linebackers mean no defense. Add Allen going against game plan (Ball possession) in the last two minutes by not throwing to wide open Diggs which would have run the clock and probably ends in a TD with no time left resulting in Buffalo winning the game. That's 100% why Buffalo lost.
Bills were a play or two away from winning. Defence was decimated by injury. I wish you would identify the coachng decisions you felt represented bad coaching. Failed execution is not bad coaching. I hope Diggs comes back next year to prove he is not done.
I think that game goes differently if Buffalo had fewer injuries. But that's part of the sport. KC had less flash, but better depth, and deeper rotations at more positions, in my opinion. They pace themselves all season long and try not to wear anyone out.
We have solid coaching. Our offense will be a lot better with a running game and our defense kept us alive at the beginning of the season but injuries killed us against the chiefs.
People need to talk about this: In the past 4 years: Bills 189 punts / 174 TD for Allen Chiefs 204 Punts / 151 TD for Mahomes So Allen has produced 23 more TD than Mahomes and had 15 less punts. The most valuable play in football is a touchdown. All turnovers are not equal to points Punts are still a change of possession. Allen has produced 21 More turnovers than Mahomes, but produced 23 more TD and 15 less punts. Josh Allen has accounted for 77% of Team TD, 81% of offensive TD Pat Mahomes has accounted for 70% of team TD, 74% of offensive TD The Bills have been the highest scoring offense in the NFL The Chiefs have been the 3rd highest scoring offense in the NFL The Bills have been the second most Winning team in the NFL The Chiefs are the most winning team in the NFL Josh Allen over the past 4 seasons: 2020 4,977 yards / 45TD 2021 5,180 Yards / 42TD 2022 5,045 yards / 42TD 2023 4,830 Yards / 44TD No other player in NFL history has had 4 consecutive years of 40TD and this kind of production. So Josh Allen has averaged 5000 Total yards and 43TD a season and doesn't have any MVP to show for it Playoff stats: Averaging 328 yards a game with 26TD / 4INT and a passer rating of 100 in 10 games. Allen was #1 in Fantasy football (production) in 2020, 2021,2023. In 2022, He was 2nd. This past seasons, Allen accounted for 86% of his teams total scores. Next closest was 68%. Lamar was 52%. Total TD - 1st Total Yards - 1st QBR - 3rd (even with TO factored in)....still 5% higher than Lamar. That alone should have sealed an MVP for him. Not enough? More stats for Allen: Passing TD - 5th Rushing TD - 1st (NFL record) Passing yards - 4th QB rushing - 4th Success rate - 51.4% (2nd) EPA/Play- .23 (2nd) Total EPA - 136.1 (2nd) Pass EPA - 86.6 (4th) Rushing EPA - 49.5 (1st) Sack % - 4% (1st) Fantasty football (production) #1 Closes out the season with 5 straight wins, and steals the division and 2 seed. All with half of the defense being injured and having a new offensive coordinator. And let's not pretend like having Andy Reid isn't a huge advantage over having Sean McDermott on the offensive side of the ball.
Injuries has been the problem Bernard getting hurt the week before was big i didn't expect a 4th string wr to catch those bombs but he should have being a nfl wr and Diggs definitely being a #1 wr should have caught it
Allen played an almost flawless game. It didn't matter. It was a lot like SB LVII, where KC D put it all on Hurts and Hurts was throwing dimes. Great game by the QB, overcome by the opposing D.
They shouldve ran the ball.on 2nd and third down after the 2min warning. Huge mistake going for the home run there. Shows a team that hasnt been there before. If you connected... Well done, youve given 15 the ball with 2min to win the game. Not one honest human would bet against him. You lose. But if you run it there, or dink a screen, then repeat, now you managed step one: You made the kick unmissable. From there it depends how that 3rd down goes. Im not even hating going for it on 4th and inches given the right clock/timeout scenario. Best case scenario you already got the first down on 2nd or 3rd down.. And NOW you get ready to take your shot. You call your best plays to get in that endzone with as little time remaining as possible.
Allen is a beast, coaching is bad and defense was depleted. With all those injuries the bills still had a chance to win.The biggest disappointment of the game was Diggs who let Allen down.
I’ll say it again. Josh is the leader and has the most control of the Bills destiny. He absolutely should have hit Diggs on the crossing rout. You can’t leave time on the clock for Patrick. Why dumb ass McDermott didn’t explain that clearly shows he’s a bone head as well. Both know better.
How bout Diggs dropping the bomb and Shakir was open only if Dawkins could have held up for 2 more seconds it's a td and it's no guarantee mahomes was going to score u just can't assume that and defense played well in the 4thq

@davidbrandel4128 the whole team falls apart the last 2 years. In the playoffs. I feel like they need someone tougher to rein josh allen in. It's feels like 13 seconds game ruined him in particular and because they put so much hype around the team and josh they couldn't live up to it . I think now that everyone basically believes there never get past mahomes or the Bengals they may actually do it because nobody is riding the team anymore
To many injuries on the defenseive side of the ball, and they were still in their fighting. Offense should of racked up many more points.

Our defense was severely damaged
Missing 11 defense players has its consequences.

Josh Allen did his job someone else didnt
Both starting linebackers were injured and didn’t play

The run game was shut down on that last drive. Bills had to throw it. Short pass patterns would have been good, surprised no screens

Exactly if Diggs catches that it's 31-27 and it brings the house down and all the momentum on our side
McDermott should win CotY with how far he took that defense. Should have been one of the worst in the league with all the injuries.
You are right
Agree. Defense wins titles. Look at the teams who make the super bowl. Look at the Bills of the early 90's. Defense.
He needs a coach that can win games because Josh cannot

The coach gotta go . He seems ok with just making it to divisional round. They need someone else who can handle the team better
