Also in the last game picking gate over pot: If you pick gate: If you mill a chaos you have game with bls. If you don't and hit crane/parshat straight you still have the d1 and a solid field. Jinzo will be the worst to hit. But it's only 1 out of 4?5? With pot you can draw dead like goats, storm, meta, chaossorc, crane, parshat... If you draw dimension as one of them you have game, but anything else isn't so good to draw with the current hand. I realy can't see what is better at first glance. Need to take some time, do some math, take all the stuff into account and analyze it statisticaly to get some numbers.
13:28 For a while I didn't really get why people were playing Kuriboh in the side deck (which they actually do), but the more you look into it the more you get why it's really useful. It's a DARK Level 1, so it's a good attribute for Chaos, sends itself from the hand to the GY, Meta target for Thousand Eyes. The big thing is that it can save you from getting OTKd, what you can do is Tomato -> Sangan -> Kuriboh. Also remember a lot of really strong cards that give you advantage have to deal battle damage (Parshath, Don Zaloog, Reaper, Kycoo), so throwing out a Kurbioh to stop your opponent from getting those off for even one turn can be big.
Also, I have seen a few people non-ironically trying Kuriboh in the side against reasoning gate. It plays around trunade, it's a lv. 1 for TER and it's a dark that can easily hit the grave so it has a little bit of potential.
6:04 I have not finished the video yet, but, so far, the Reasoning Gate player did terrible game 1 and I too would have just set Scapegoat or just reasoning. Patience is the name of the game until you have everything to go off.
6:00 In that scenario I would wait I don't play too much in goat format, but my favorite deck in goat format is Chaos resoning gate and that was the only deck I always played in goat xD
13:38 Kuriboh is a good side deck option against otk decks in Chaos decks because it is a dark and most of the time they leave themselves open to a counter play
King Dragun is insane in goat format! Protection against targeting may sound meh but it's pretty crazy. The only common outs that people would be maining are BLS to atk over it, tribe, mirror, and torrential. I actually side fusilier for the chaos matchup in my goat control list just to have access to Dragun.
I've never played reasoning gate myself, but I think going for it turn 1 was a mistake? What are you hoping to do there? If you hit DMOC, you could put up a bunch of monsters, but your opponent will have a chance to hit them with raigeki break or tsuk/crossout. If you heavy then pop off turn 2, your opponent doesn't have a chance to use their traps on your monsters. If you hit sacred crane you can draw a couple cards, but reasoning->crane->draw 1 isn't very powerful. The point of reasoning seems to be to put up game, a 1600 beatstick isn't gonna do that. Maybe they were trying to get stuff out so they could go for chaos sorc? It's possible sorc could help banish some key stuff from Blue, but idk if that's the best play.
You are absolutely right. I assume the Gateplayer was generally new to the format, since missplaying in goat is quite hard, if you are not absolutely new to it and legacy formats in general.
@@filippoborga1437 yeah, but you make a lot of pressure if you wait a turn, too. All you do by going for it turn 1 is own yourself up to things like ring of destruction and raigeki break, which you could avoid by just starting turn 2 with a heavy storm.
Set goat pass was better. If he would have something to set then you sotrm it and duo the rest of the hand. The next turn he can push for dmg, if not for game.
I play reasoning gate and i prefer using the 1 st turn to setup sometimes if you hit jinzo+ parshath and the 2800 could be a problem to destroy that board cuz light vortex is not so played
0:35 I sent some cool GOAT replays but I wasn't top 200 yet D: Now I haven't got the time to grind, but I will soon :) and get to the top 100 lesss gooooi
Yeah bro people side kuriboh for stein and this deck. Mainly for stein. They pay 5k and swing and u stop the play. Those decks usually trunade you before they go off so that's all you have stop them.
Going for crane for no reason to not push for game is worthless. You can tell he’s trying out Gate. The goat player was decent enough to take advantage. Game 1 he floated the entire game. Gates luck game 3 was silly. Yes getting gate was better, targets in deck were big monsters. Guarantee body for damage where as POG may not get you the body.
Goat pass cause what are you really betting on hitting a jinzo that can be done after that and u know its not the mirror post side so it shouldn't matter.
This reasoning gate player doesn't know how to build the deck let alone play it right. If your playing this deck it should be built like an otk deck. Cards like scapegoat and meta don't actually work in this deck cus those cards are more about killing and those cards don't help you do that they are about controlling the board. He definitly shouldn't be randomly milling game 2

Wait! this is a sky striker channel.. why u upload a goat format duel? 😆😆😆

I'm pretty sure people do side Kuriboh
waboku better with a kycoo on board against gate lmao

13:46 some people do side it in goat and chaos control to beat reasoning gate, but it’s a new thign
Never saw reasoning gate being played so poorly lmao

More Goat Format please !!!!! :)

I think he start to play at turn 0 at g2 to summon cards link jinzo or spell canceller with gate
considering you do videos of all these older formats, have you also considered doing the occasional OCG replay
oh god no , i very much dislike ocg
@@TheDBGrinder Is it just just maxx c or are there other reasons?
0:35 I sent some cool GOAT replays but I wasn't top 200 yet D:
Now I haven't got the time to grind, but I will soon :) and get to the top 100 lesss gooooi
lesssssssss gooooooooo
Hey do you take Edison format replays?
no
06:04 Set goat and pass
i had someone siding kuriboh against me yesterday. I was on Gate turbo, used all i had, went to bp to otk, he dropped kuriboh, i lost the game
Yeah bro people side kuriboh for stein and this deck. Mainly for stein. They pay 5k and swing and u stop the play. Those decks usually trunade you before they go off so that's all you have stop them.
Gotta love to see the sub count rise
Chaos decks were the better combo decks to play at the time
Giant yata is known to be toxic, ignore him
Hard to ignore when he’s so fun to clown on the ladder lmao
12:20 monster gate because he wants light and dark in gy so he can go for lethal

Sinister serpent beatdown
is 2017 nats "old format"?
yeah but i don’t wanna post zoo yet so i’m not accepting it currently
Can someone explain to me why the goat format has this weird Master Rule 3 field instead of a normal one?
Because it's a 2005 format?
@@alexYu-gi-oh But there wasn't any pendulum 2005, thats the confusing part, what are the pendulum zones doing there?
that’s how db has it
Dissatisfied in DB grinder Did not explained what pot of greed does
Will @ignister be a top tier deck in the future of the tcg
not sure
yo austin smart play by owtlaw pot of greed was a gamble when he got back monster gate he mills and makes bls live for game gg
Loving the content keep up the good work
Gate lets you to mill a dark to make bls
Gotta love to see it
Kuriboh is spicy in certain matchups
I approve this duel
Gg outlaw is among the better goat players there is
set scapegoat pass is the play
Reasoning gate my deck
I would wait a turn and set up otk
Where is raye ?
o _ 0
Wait the next turn
Nice stuff here
he cannot use the deck! this era of yugioh i do know ... you are right wait and see. no reason to push
I have no idea what this is supposed to mean
I was saying he should just set the goat and pass
@@superidol8463 then why didn't you just say that
Lolol
So u can gate on a sheep token
yes it’s not a tribute summon
Goat pass cause what are you really betting on hitting a jinzo that can be done after that and u know its not the mirror post side so it shouldn't matter.
How long was the match? Guy keeps complaining about slowplaying and we didn't get to see at the end.
i don’t know
No GOAT 😡
So lucky xD
As a goat player, these guys are playing with really suboptimal lists and making a lot of questionable plays.

Why do people like this format again lol
its old yugioh but i think its decent
I mean people actually side kuriboh for ftks lol
