+babarain99 Check out Angel Vivaldi,he does some really cool, melodic stuff with 7 strings.Unfortunately, most guys with 7strings are just useing them for monotonous ''chugga-chugga'' riffs.
+greekfreak1980 I know Vivaldi. I discovered him four years ago in an Ibanez Premium commercial. His songs are pretty cool. However, my favourite seven-string player has to be Keith Merrow. The guy comes up with epic riffs!
If you want or have a 7 string i'd recommend you step away from scales a little and start getting into chord theory. The biggest benefit to the extended range in my honest opinion is not the extended range but the extra chord voicings that you can utilize. Check out 7 string jazz for examples.
YES, finally! I'm sure a lot of fans have been waiting for a Never Forgive Me playthrough! Been waiting for this for ages. Thanks Marco, Ibanez, and Mogar! More please. :)
+Fernando Dias He is one of Marco's biggest influences. People immediately say "Oh! Petrucci!", but underneath there is A LOT of Andy's influence in Marco's playing.
por favor si sacan un video en español se los agrdeceria y unos tutoriales de pedaleras pero me gusto el video que dios te siga utilizando en la guitarra que talento me gusto ingles:please if you take a video in Spanish is the agrdeceria pedals and some tutorials but I liked the video that God will continue to use that talent on the guitar like me
gasfervis I think that he is endorse by Ibanez guitars , so he have to show every Ibanez guitar he own. Thats my personal opinion . Have a fantastic day :D
I try not to critizise if I don't like something I just move on to something better critisizm wastes positive energy move on there's always something better
This is a great example of having a 7 string guitar and still using it as if it was a 6 string guitar. I don't think he used the top 'low' string at all. Such a nice guitar too!
Will B What I've noticed with most aftermarket pickups is that even if a certain model is available as a 6 or 7-string version, they're slightly different still, which effects the tone across the regular 6 strings anyways. For example, look at DiMarzio's specs, they make Illuminators, LiquiFires, Crunch Labs, D Sonics, and Air Nortons all in both 6 and 7 string versions, and they all differ from their counterpart in terms of magnet type, voltage output, and resonant frequencies.
One of my favorite songs from Marco!❤
Beautiful technique and Melodic style.
Love that crying note technique plus the sound is amazing
Marco brought the best of a 90´s Satriani with his own and unique melodic approach and with the Timmons vibe all over it (1:30) This is genius work!
***** Yes, Wishful Thinking it is but a different melody
***** You're so right.
Basically, you combine Petrucci and Satriani, and throw in a dash of Timmons, and you end up with Sfogli ;)
also a dash of Vinnie Moore and Tony Macalpine
There is something very romantic in his playing that I love very much.
I do really agree, addictive really
My new favorite song from Marco Sfogli
Marco's playing just makes you feel good.....very inspiring!
Every song that you play is incredible. Your music has such emotion. You're one of my all time favorite guitarists
Speaking of emotion, have you heard this ? ruclips.net/video/nu7gFFkvU30/видео.html&loop=0
He's actually singing, videos like this really encourage me to buy a 7 string guitar .
babarain99 It's strange that, for demoing a seven-string guitar, he chose a song that doesn't utilise the seventh string.

+Chaif15Let Don't know well why, dude... Maybe a tone question...

Fantastic work from Marco as always. Thank you Marco and Mogar Music.

One of my all time great guitarists, such attitude, emotion, technique, virtosity.
ti meriti il ministero della cultura.....musicale di certo...!
Blows my mind when people mention what they perceive to be his main influences and don't mention Petrucci.
+1 i think hes just a little more polished than the current petrucci though.
OMGGG !! what a phrasing
just fabulous
quel talent, parfaite maîtrise et très musical
Bravissimo chitarrista, bel sound!
Sempre magico Marco! :)
Anche con un solid state!!!

But INCREDIBLE playing.

you are 1 of genius guitarist dude.
Marco Sfogli owns!
Sei un grande Marco!
Best in the business of the relative newcomers, NEVER sacrifices melody to shred. Has the satravai spirit.
hai marco. i love this song so much. awesome.
Very good! This tone reminds me of Andy Timmons
+Fernando Dias He is one of Marco's biggest influences. People immediately say "Oh! Petrucci!", but underneath there is A LOT of Andy's influence in Marco's playing.
+Nasosdag Yeah no doubt man! =)
+Fernando Dias ;)
True. but note how compressed his tone sounds. Andy has mastered the Analog sound while Marco is all about digital.
+Isaac k true his sound is too digital and make it less dynamic feel than timmons
Anyone know what the amp settings are plz !? I like how the guitar sounds here
My god so melodious it's give relief to ears
Legend.

Who doesn't sound like somebody else...??? Marco is a awesome player, writer, composer...etc...Don't be jealous fellas
@@billycarter4832 not jealous at all im a fan! hhh

Crunch
Wonderfull. But I don't understand why he use a ibanez 7-string in this song
gasfervis Just to show that he owns one, i guess.
gasfervis I think that he is endorse by Ibanez guitars , so he have to show every Ibanez guitar he own. Thats my personal opinion . Have a fantastic day :D
gasfervis This is because that model just came out that time and it's being promoted by the store Mogar.
