One day I really need to play Tekken 7. I think I only ever played 5 for a bit since I only got a PS2 years after it all came out, but I would love to get back into the games (love the character customization especially, so many possibilities).
I'm sure some people will say just skip to 8, but if you just wanna jump in and play a full Tekken game with every kind of character you'd wanna try? T7 is excellent for that. I hadn't touched one since T3, but I loved my time with it.
I know this about Akuma in Tekken but I knew it was real when he showed up as a secret boss in Asura Wrath. One of my favorite secret bosses in any video game!
Akuma was my first and only main in T7, I didn't even start playing true 3D until T8 came out and I picked up Azucena lol but I'm grateful since now I can enjoy both 2D and 3D fighters
The coolest thing Tekken 7 did with Akuma is that, they didn't change the character at all, they quite literally brought him over to Tekken, as he is, keeping the unique mechanics he had in his original game so it feels 100% authentic. He even looks totally authentic with the artstyle somehow, despite the fact he comes from a series with a more cartoony artstyle, it's like magic. It was exactly what Street Fighter x Tekken DIDN'T do. SfxTk just made new Street fighter characters then just gave them a Tekken paint coat.
To be fair... while a 2D -> 3D conversion is a lot more work, it's a lot easier to convert a _one_ 2D character into Tekken style than to convert 20+ Tekken characters into 2D. Namco was able to be that authentic with Akuma because it was just one character. I'm not convinced they would have been able to pull that off with a full roster in TvSF.
Akuma brought in Tekken 7 is indeed one of the greatest WTF moments ever. I did not expected him to invade in the world of Tekken, and to be part of the story. His combos are massively insane here, and I love that how much work they put into him in Tekken 7.

The image for this video that shows Akuma against Heihachi should’ve been on the cover of Tekken 7 or even a poster since it looks awesome. And just like Max I too had a blast playing as the master of the dark Hado against the cast of Tekken, The only complaint I had to it was that we never got a definitive answer as to what happened during the final confrontation between Akuma and Kazuya. 13:27 Kenny got so enraged by what happened with Eddy Gordo by Lucky Chloe (portrayed by Simmons) that he unleashed his own devil transformation 😂🤣 poor Simmons.
This was an awesome legacy series! It's funny when how, if you ask people what game they associate Akuma with and they mostly say SF2, SF3 or SF4, I inmediately think about Tekken 7 just because how big of an impact he had on that game lol
Man, this one was wild. On the plus side, EVERYONE would agree that it was INSANELY cool, and the way they ported him to Tekken, letting him retain 2d mechanics, was incredibly interesting.
I hadn't touched one since T3, but I loved my time with it.
the production value on this was insaneeeeeee
I know this about Akuma in Tekken but I knew it was real when he showed up as a secret boss in Asura Wrath. One of my favorite secret bosses in any video game!
Akuma was my first and only main in T7, I didn't even start playing true 3D until T8 came out and I picked up Azucena lol but I'm grateful since now I can enjoy both 2D and 3D fighters
Did Max just skip SFV?
I'm not convinced they would have been able to pull that off with a full roster in TvSF.
not only respecting his essence but also giving him some new stuff that was absolutely well integrated.
Cool series! I wouldn't be mad to see him return in T8 since he has such a legacy.
Yo, this akuma legacy was really great. Glad I've watched
Akuma brought in Tekken 7 is indeed one of the greatest WTF moments ever. I did not expected him to invade in the world of Tekken, and to be part of the story. His combos are massively insane here, and I love that how much work they put into him in Tekken 7.
We need a virtua fighter x Tekken like 20+ years ago haha
Thank you for the revised legacy! I appreciate this kind of stuff a lot, I get it can be detrimental in the wack RUclips algorithm when it comes to old game things.
I love it how you didn't even bother with SFV lol
Dang, this is the end already? Was hoping for a SF5 episode, seeing as it's the transition from his old incarnations to where he is now in 6.
I just noticed the big chap in the background for the first time.
Max hope you see this! The vods don't go back far enough for rebirth hardmode stuff you did , would mega appreciate it if you could upload them to youtube as it would go a long way to making me feel better that the rebirth Disney ride has come to an end lol ❤😂 halp me pls 🙏
You could hear someone going "EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!?!?" during the reveal 😂
The image for this video that shows Akuma against Heihachi should’ve been on the cover of Tekken 7 or even a poster since it looks awesome. And just like Max I too had a blast playing as the master of the dark Hado against the cast of Tekken, The only complaint I had to it was that we never got a definitive answer as to what happened during the final confrontation between Akuma and Kazuya.
13:27 Kenny got so enraged by what happened with Eddy Gordo by Lucky Chloe (portrayed by Simmons) that he unleashed his own devil transformation 😂🤣 poor Simmons.
Tekken 7 is like a fucking tasty chicken soup, but then added with sushi, hamburger, and icecream inside.
This was an awesome legacy series! It's funny when how, if you ask people what game they associate Akuma with and they mostly say SF2, SF3 or SF4, I inmediately think about Tekken 7 just because how big of an impact he had on that game lol
That ending screen tho!
I'm so hoping for him to mention the Asura's Wrath appearance, because that fight was HYPE!
Almost makes me wish there were even more characters out there like Akuma, who weave their way into everything on the same level.
I'm almost certain you covered it all except for Asura's Wrath, great content.
Ik this is off topic, but has there ever been a max room tour / collection video? I’d love to see it
Akuma is such a freak of nature that not even being send to a different universe and nerfs could stop him from being top tier.
Akuma in tekken 7 is basically Street fighter 4 version of akuma done right.
Legends say he's still edging to this day.
I really want to know more of Akuma in Tekken 7 story wise because I loved him being apart of it
sadly his story in T7 wasn't that deep. almost no depth to the relationship with Kazumi, it could have been explored better.
First.
Fun character to play as in T7.
Not first lol
Man I miss street fighter vs tekken
Great outro!
I ONLY bought Tekken 7 because Akuma was in it lol
I love the WTF from the crowd lol
Talk about Agent Smith and Jason Voorhees in Multiversus!
Great editing
The day will come where we get a big, big SF x Tekken crossover game, and when it comes, I‘ll be here for it 💪
Oi, homework for anyone who wants more Akuma: Asura’s Wrath DLC. The Good Shit.
Man, this one was wild. On the plus side, EVERYONE would agree that it was INSANELY cool, and the way they ported him to Tekken, letting him retain 2d mechanics, was incredibly interesting. On the flipside tho... I think the Tekken community would have a collective stroke if we get another 2d character in 8.
Akuma in Tekken 7 is one hella a fever dream, even more so then Tekken X Street Fighter.
The top video! Finally.
No matter where he is, he'll be a top tier. He's just that good of a character.
