Thank you for making videos and I'd like to add as someone who lives outside of the "defence bubble" the uniqueness of Karachi is how relatively close the proximity is between low income household to the high income household.
This is what will create problems in coming future mark my words. In my opinion every city or state should have these kind of development so the distribution of wealth remains in their state or city but as this is only one of a kind in whole pakistan so chances are much more that rich people from all around pakistan will shift here and rest will be left underdeveloped this is nonsense every city should have these kind of buildings and cafes ! You literally just lowkey roasted Pakistan. Not ALL milk taste like cows here. Get a better milkman or the brand. 2ndly the water specifically in Karachi kind of tastes salty. Otherwise water everywhere in Pakistan is fresh that you don't need branded water. Just drink whatever you get fresh from underground. Wanna get a little extra...boil it. That's all.
My home in Karachi is at Khayabane Rahat, I saw that cenima you showed in the video, I was there in Pakistan last year as my girlfriend wanted to see karachi she also was shocked to see so many people working in my home ,since my house is big therefore we require few extra people like 2 gardners, 2 maids a separate cook (haji is our cook and his entire family served my family and his children are in the same leauge) and several guards as dad serves in Ministry of commerce so it is very different then Graz Austria where I live and despite visiting karachi rarely like once in 3 years may be it is very close to my heart cus of my dad I love him and he lives there, my mom is from Bosnia but we moved to Austria like 7 years ago , I love the food there though my stomach always give up but I still love that. Nice Video stay tight ! EDIT: City is a Gem if they start cleaning more specifically the beach my heart literally bleeds with so much plastic and garbage!
its soo amazing that you're aware of your privilige and care for people that are not as priviledged as you. I am an alumni of Nixor and I've been a part of that bubble that you speak of. I realized that there are soo many people that are not aware of their priviledge and aware of the fact that they are part of the top 0.1% of pakistan. This makes them less grateful and less empathetic human beings. I have no shame in admitting that I am a priviledged citizen of this country. Its very important to recognize this and be thankful to your parents and Allah for everything you have.

Hey Alina. I usually dont go for these sort of things and I was really hoping for someone to touch this topic. We have been studying this aspect for a really long time now. These Suburbs are primarily there to detach you from the realities of life. More like mall of residencies. At first, I thought you'd be like usual peeps, (99%) who get impressed by the facades but it turns out you experienced the shallowness first handed. These heterotopic spaces are fragmenting the fabric of the cities, small islands in themselves.

I like how you are protraying a better image of Pakistan. However, I still feel that you are blessed to be living a comfortable/luxury lifestyle. You are a privileged indiviual who fall under 10% of the total Pakistani population. You would barely know the struggles of a middle class families. The lifestyle that you are protraying is not an average man’s lifestyle here in pakistan.
As a British Pakistani, whose family orginates from Karachi. I can tell you for a fact that you are living the Privilege Lifestyle over there. I have been to Karachi many occasions, it's a great city 👌 Currently, Karachi is under a huge development as well with recent Skyscrapers being built up. However, my family comes from the poorer districts and still choose to live in there. Often when I do travel I tend to go to the 'fancy places' like Cliffton and the DHA areas. Believe me there's a VAST difference in lifestyle and people you meet there compared to those outside the privlidge inner-circle. Your houses in DHA can range between £150,000 - £2million (depending on districts). Still it's worth noting, that for the lower-end of the Market you can find a 4 bedroom property, which for £150,000 is none existing to have that home in the UK. Houses are better and cheaper in short, compared to the West. But, if you going to live in Karachi, you better have a Job or Business that pays you very nicely.

it was so hard for me to adjust in lahore and don't even talk about the water in karachi. we didn't know tap water isn't safe and we all fell sick from it, yuck i still remember the taste. this was more than a decade ago
Yeah bcuz its pure milk bro 😂
I absolutely hate the taste of milk 😭😭
Thank you for making videos and I'd like to add as someone who lives outside of the "defence bubble" the uniqueness of Karachi is how relatively close the proximity is between low income household to the high income household.
This is what will create problems in coming future mark my words. In my opinion every city or state should have these kind of development so the distribution of wealth remains in their state or city but as this is only one of a kind in whole pakistan so chances are much more that rich people from all around pakistan will shift here and rest will be left underdeveloped this is nonsense every city should have these kind of buildings and cafes ! Doesnt cost much to open up cafe or good restaurant.

That's all.
the water in Karachi is okay too I love ehere
Yeah you are right..... even that's all
Water from the underground isn't safe. Tap water isn't safe in Pakistan. Get a filter
@I dont know my name Lol what?
its soo amazing that you're aware of your privilige and care for people that are not as priviledged as you.
Luke opened my eyes up to Pakistan as a tourist but it’s awesome to see it from a locals perspective
6:54 the like is on this video is for aunty shahnaz smile... :) people like shahnaz are amazing they complain less and work hard and still find time to be thankful for what they are blessed with while we don't do anything else but to complain. May ALLAH keep all poor and leas fortunate people in his protection and give them enough so that they can also enjoy all the perks of life as we do :)
That last part with shanaz aunty💔, it broke my heart but it also urged me to be thankful of what i have and i dont have to worry about even the little things.

I’m Pakistani and the only thing I want to happen is for some modern mall to finish building and open up but I’m really proud and happy you made a video about Pakistan and that you live in Pakistan!
She's some random woman who isn't living in the actual country. She's living in New Zealand in Pakistan. That kind of defeats thr point. I lived outside the US for 10 years and never lived in anything like that. I think it's absurd and a waste of money.

@@omarsiddique9211 what nabeel imtiaz is saying is completely true, why do people lie to themselves when the blatant truth comes out. people don't need bricks and buildings they need a good mindset, they need to NOT have a backward mindset, misogyny and abuse of women rights are still destroying middle class families and poor class, even the rich. if you have money it doesn't mean you have real honour and respect. especially if people are not giving it to you because you were born a woman. even Imran khan blamed women for getting raped because of the way women dress, even some Islamic scholars in Pakistan, forced marriages children getting beaten up, those homeless children in Pakistan who ran away from their families you ask them why they ran away. how does a country run when most people don't pay taxes because they don't trusts the government to deliver such as free schools, doctor hospital etc. and if you have women in your life or a daughter would you feel your daughter be safe in Pakistan.
this video was really well done, the sudden introduction of the life of the underprivileged was unexpected and took me by surprise and really hit me...
Bro the life she showed you in the video is the best of the bestest you can get in Pakistan. Why don’t you ask her the amount of money they spent for a house in Doha phase 8 then convert it into your foreign currency. Most of the Pakistan is lower and middle class. This wasn’t the true representation of Pakistan. I am a Pakistan lived there for 25 years of my life and moved to west last year only.

Apart from the fact that majority of the population in Pak lives in poverty, which is technically only the fault of our poor/corrupt government. Most foreigners believe that Pak is a country of terrorrism, which is not true. I'm glad you chose to film in such an amazing way, which proves Pak is also beautiful and peaceful.☆☆☆
Actually not most but few but most of the people here live a simple and below middle class life, in comparison to india there is much poverty... difference is infrastructure education

A Burger boy/girl is a person who pretends to be a foreigner. She actually lived in New Zealand her whole life, so she’s not pretending. Burgers are spoiled brats who’re always crying, running to their parents complaining about everything. Burgers pretend that they’re from abroad when they’re really not. They’re always wearing western clothes and rarely ever shalwaar kameez.

That’s exactly why she made a part 2

Instead of critiszing people for saying the truth, maybe we should all focus on actually improving things that can improve Pakistam's "image".

i was born and raised in Saudi Arabia till i was 12, i spent my whole childhood as a completely spoiled rich child, being used to seeing big villas and the latest sports cars everywhere, eating in the luxurious hotels and café's every weekend. But when i came to Pakistan my life completely changed, see, my house in Pakistan isn't in the defence bubble, its where the burgers and bun kebabs meet 😂 the middle.
