    I hade a XC70 2,5T MY 2006, automatic transmission, between 2009 and 2015. It was a wonderful car and I still miss it. It was perfect for Swedish winters. Now I drive a 2019 Skoda Superb 4X4 but every now and then I thinking of getting a XC70 again.

    Thanks for sharing, I’m a huge fan of the P2 Cross Country’s. I have a 2001 V70XC, equipped mine with a 24”X64” basket on the roof with a 24” LED light bar and LED pod lights on the bumper. Got a bike rack on either side, of the roof basket that’s been modified to carry a full size spare on the roof. Next thing is a a body and suspension lift. Oh and I got a full size high lift on the roof with all the recovery gear down where the spare use to to be.

    The car is more responsive after removing the Angled Gear and the middle shaft. Get it tuned. If it's a 2.3L turbo, it usually has a 16T Turbo charger which is essentially a T5 Spec. But they somehow detuned the XC70 to 197bhp only. Without physically replacing any of the parts (down pipes, exhaust, intercooler), you can get up to 280bhp with simple ECU remapping. And that's really nice.

    When I test drove 2001 v70 XC this month I knew it was the car for me. I always liked the practicality of Subaru Outback but terrible engine. Edit : the transmission is slipping after one week, here we go!

      I suggest 3rd gen, 2010-2015 d5 5cyl diesel. Try to get one that has timing belt already changed

    Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude! If You have problem with elbow because of handrest - DO NOT BUY OPEL INSIGNIA first generation. It has so crappy handrests (elbow rests!) and that is why I sold that car and bought V70 2006 :)

      My volvo have 377000 km i use it daily and there is no big problems. I think most important thing is to check awd system, if its not working repairs will be expensive €€€ . But i have to say these cars are awesome, and buit quality close to perfection.

    you have hi-jack in you luggage, have you used it for this car and how?

    • @lostforfun5328
      @lostforfun5328  3 года назад +1

      I was using this farmjack for my jimny to change wheels and do some recovery. But now with volvo i use it less, because there is more risk to damage the car. I used farmjack as a winch for recovery - you can see in my other videos. And its just handy tool.😁
