Very fortunate to have all the real workshop tools on hand mate.
Very cool! Decals came out great & love the exhaust. Try spraying the tint on the underside of the glass next time, works much better. Happy building!
Very good customizing of that VW. If massed produced this would sell, easily. Mattel Hot Wheels would do well to take note of your a lot of your ideas and creativity!!
If you want to black out the windows spray just the inside of the window and it looks pretty good and almost perfect.
You videos are awesome keep up the good work 🙌🏼
I have this exact casting. The paint job is dire! Yours is great. Thanks for this, I now know what to expect when I start taking it apart!
Cool Bug, Tint idea 101, Try putting black ink in Pledge and dunk you glass till you get desired tint effect. Let dry between dunk's though. Cheer's
Awesome build as always. That yellow almost looks like a gold of some sort. Looking forward to the build off and your 62 chevy
That is a wicked little bad ass ride. Love the decals and stinger pipe. That paint job is dialed in. How about masking the outside of the windows and spraying the tint on the inside? Awesome job.
Loving that paint effect.
Looks awesome! The only thing I think could make it cooler would have been to be able to see the motor in the back. Would make it seem more savage and less civil. LOL
Agree!
Great result Keith well done mate
Very nice - think the secret to tinting windows is to mask the outside and paint the inside of the glass
Spray the smoke black paint on the inside of the window moulding
that is what i was going to say, kinda like painting the rc lexxon (sp) clear bodies
@@danmyers7880 I see u subscribe to Demolition Derby have u watched Banger racing in the UK it's like Demolition Derby but on a small oval track
@@danmyers7880 check out Luke G Race Videos
@@Peter-qt7oj yes, i love those also.
Tinting windows: try painting the inside of the glass(plastic) and polish the outside and then dip in pledge floor wax to give it that shiny look.
Really like the open wheel VW's also like the fat tires ... I painted tinted windows on the clear slot car bodies from the inside. Also whatever exterior color was was also inside. Used a lot of super fine Sharpies for detail work ...
Keep up the GREAT resto and hot rod builds !
The PS- paints from Tamiya are made to spray the inside of polycarbonate rc car bodies. Like others have suggested already you should get better results spraying the windows from the inside. I’d suggest spraying the smoke before the Future floor polish application.
that is so cool , love to see you working and the final mind blowing result - respect !
Back in the 60's we used Rit dye to tint the windows on our model cars.
Beaut custom job mate, looks awesome.....I don't really know if it will work but maybe an ink based paint could work on windscreens? I saw Baremetal use it as shading on top of existing paint....it's very thin and transparent
Try with Tamiya X-19 Smoke. It is Clear paint. Apply inside the glass. Or mix black acrylic paint with Future but use very little black until you get the tone of smoke glass then dip the clear plastic in it. Let it sit and dry before doing another coat. Nice VW
Oh man I love it! The color and decals are great! Well done!
That thing came out sweet, you can see the subtle sparkle in the final shots. Nice job!
Great job! The larger wheels on the rear look way better. Good job on the stinger exhaust, almost put one on the old 62 Beetle I had when I was younger.
Hell yeah my guy the bug turned out freaking awesome! I absolutely love the "stinger" style exhaust! Sick!
Rat rod love it 😍 that exhaust looks well hardcore gonna copy that 🤟🏾👊🏾👌🏾🇬🇧
I have used Tamiya 'Smoke' paint before, with no problems. I apply it with a small brush, to the INSIDE of the transparency. It looks very effective - I painted some of the transparencies on a model of the U.S.S. Voyager from the old TV show with it, and it looked superb.
You do great work. ❤
You and others that I watch, actually are inspiring me with an idea, for me to do. 👍
Absolutely nice, love the color. My dad was a car guy too. Grew up around cars all my life. Have a 64 impala ss I am restoring. Just getting into the hotwheels gig. Love videos keep them coming.
Absolutely LOVE IT!
Looks good try tinting windows from inside tapeing outside of the windshield
Love what you did with this one!
Love it, glad to see a stinger, ive not seen any customs with stingers.
I try to be different. I dont always succeed lol
You can tint windows by dipping them in black dye. The more dips the darker the tint
I use Createx transparent black to coat the inside windows. I did it on my pull back VW bug.
Excellent job. Looks awesome !!!
On the tinting, maybe try some transparent or translucent artist ink mixed into some acrylic floor polish(Future/Pledge whatever they call it now) and then dip it in that and let it dry. Might take a couple dips to build it up. The cool thing here is, if it works you can tint in other colors besides black.
Not really a fan of those exaust pipes, but you did a superb job with this car. About the smoke, ever thought of buying the one in a little pot and spray it with your paint gun? Maybe it would help with the texture? Personnally, I didn't notice the problem you had with it on the final product, which I'll say again is pretty nifty! ^^
Very very nice! Love the color!
Excellent ,looks great love the colour.
All the best.
Very cool bug. Real shame about the glass. Maybe apply to the inside of the glass?
slowly going thru past videos. really like the result that color and those wheel really make it
Awesome build bud! 👍👍
LOVE IT!!!
it really looks real:)
Very nice!
My first car was a '62 Beetle! I also had a '67!
Nice job taking the rack off. Bravo, brutha.
Nice build and the added details are awesome!
Enjoyed it. You always do what I wish I could! Thanks for your channel...
I like how the bug turned out, I am not a fan of brown but this paint looks sweet, I like how the headlights turned out, looks like a good rep for the Outlaw Speed Shop. thats a hell of a stinger
Thanks!
Man that's tough I love it!
I don't use tamiya clear colors very often but when i do, i get results far beyond my expectation, though i use an airbrush to spray, i never bother to get the rattle cans unless its the fine primer and sometimes clear coats. Even though the clear colors are thin enough to spray right out of the pot, i thin mine probably 3 parts paint and 1 part thinner. i lay down about 8 thin coats building up to a desired look... though i do not exactly have it down to a science. Lastly, when you are tinting clear parts, spray on the opposite side of the "show" side (the inside of the windshield, not the outside). but for sure ditch the rattle can.
Very cool looking.
Great looking bug
Awesome job 👍
Thats A Noce V W Bug I Loke The Colours And The Wheels Awesome.
I agree Peter 1624. I paint RC bodies and I have sprayed tamiya Smoke on the inside and you still get the gloss of the lexan and the tinted smoke effect. Another great video, love your restorations and creativity !!
This thing was pretty cool to begin with but You made it MUCH nicer :)
Thanks!!
A lot guys use future floor polish with food coloring to tint window in models
Awesome custom! Big Like 😎👍🏽
Thanks!
I use the Tamiya smoke, I mask the outside and spray the inside
Great job 👍 The color turned out awesome!
hola amigo un custom genial y personalización fantástica ese bocho quedo woaw felicitaciones saludos d.d.colombia ..chaolin
I truly am sorry man I get notifications for vids when I don't sub or hit notifications bell quicker than when I do other way around. Awesome video please keep it up
The tint should be sprayed on the inside part of the glass. Then you wont see the roughness of the paint
Use night shade for tail lights and fine sand windows
Bad ass beetle ! Looks mucho good with the roof rack cleaned off ! I picked one up and have been starring at it for a couple days now wondering which way to go with it. LOL. 🤣🍻
Cheers! Another great job!
I may get crap for this, but I use a sharpie to tint my windows! Inside and out
Cool ride thanks for sharing buddy great job 👍👍👍
Killer build and paint
Cool exuast.
Looks very cool man. That color is unique and works great for the overall look. Keep rockin my friend.
Concave goes in convex out. Great looking cars.
Insanely cool. Love your builds!
Spray the inside of the windows with the tint. It will looks better. Real cars are tinted in the inside. :). Great video.
The car came out really good. Not my cooler and rims but I still like it. Keep it up.
So much better. They should just let you pick out the livery for the HW casting.
Great custom. About the tint. Try put it on the inside of the vindscreen. Dont know og it works, but ive done it on the rear lights of my (real) cars. Just a til from a New subscriber. From Norway btw.
Great job!!
You could use regular window tint paper at a smaller scale, put it on either side of the window then maybe clear coat it.
Looks awesome mate 👍
For tinting windows, I don't paint the outside of the "glass", I paint the inside. You can also try ghost tints from Badger's Minitaire line (my preference) which not only has a black tint color called Oil Discharge, but 11 other colors.
Really nice result 👌
Peace ✌️
Micheals has some spray tint, its called Tint IT by Design Master. worked good for me.
Very cool !!!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍
Cool build looks great
Cool bug!
Good color choice.
I like that your a dodge ram owner as well as myself I have 2 one is a 96 4x4 and the other is an 01 24 value diesel
Has a perfect rake. Bitchin exhaust too.
excellent job very good friend finished greetings left you me 👍🇲🇽🏁
Exelente video 😎👍 perfecto custom 😎🙌
I think i would try real window tint.
This right here. I would look for a roll of the lightest tint shade. It will look darker at that scale.
A single roll would last forever.
Awesome color!
Awesome Kustom Bug, liked and subscribed so I can see more cool designs
Very nice!
Nice bug !
simple and does the job
