For thermal installation-radiator pipe with wrap Hemp or teflon tape?and teflon tape is good for presure and hot water?

I hardly ever use Teflon tape, only use hemp and paste for water or heating

do you know if this is legal for galvanized water pipes here in the USA?
where are you located? In Germany that is the way to go but now i live in the US and have no idea if i can do this here.

I live in Belgium and here we still can use galvanized water pipes.

Seems like too much hemp, for most purposes... stoppers are able to take more hemp
