Sweet Tish. Please let me share just a couple of things and you probably already know. Please consider rubbet toys while she is a puppy. Those little teeth will rip those toys open and will cause a choking risk. Only use stuffed toys if your eyes are on her. Keep her on the same food she is on when she comes to you. Change in food and treats could cause an upset tummy. Be prepared for puppy chewing. Those little teeth need to chew. Watch your baseboards. My biggest advice for potty training and its HARD. Put her on a schedule while you are home. Without fail take her outside to potty no less than every hour. Its alot and deep nights are hard, but within a couple of months of this. Her potty training will be well underway . Remember it takes about 10 to 12 months for them to fully learn to potty outside. Also her crate is a good thing, it will give her comfort and a place to rest when she is upset. I am a poodle mom. My poodle brothers lived a long life of 16 years. After they went to heaven. I am now a maltipoo mom...you will love this new addition to your home..
You'll be a great dog mom. Best advice, get a good local vet and ER vet bc when you have an emergency - it's nice knowing where to go. Trust me.... it's scary to have pet emergency but most people will have one and you don't want to try to find a ER vet then. Can't wait to see the pup.

We have dog beds in three rooms and I'm constantly buying toys. Hubby jokes I love the pups more than him. What can I say, they don't make messes for me to clean up and they comfort me on my worst days. Plus they are excited to see me, even if all I did was leave for 1 minute. Betweens our two poodle mixes, and the countless fosters, I live to make my dogs lives better. I can't wait to see your baby girl. ❤

I think it’s a great idea to have multiple harnesses, leashes, lick mats, travel water bowls etc… because you can have them in each of the vehicles and if the used lick mat hasn’t been washed yet, you’ve got a spare. When I got my puppies many years ago, they didn’t have 90% of the items that they have now. You did a great job Tish. I think it’s great that you’re going to brush her teeth as a puppy. Hey Tish!! Just some advice. I would hold off on all those toys that are made of fabric. She will chew them and rip them up. A Nylabone is super great and they come in different sizes puppy through extreme adult chewers. Whatever you give to her for chewing, please read if it’s safe for puppies. And always supervise her when chewing. STAY AWAY for all things made of raw hide. It’s bad for all dogs. Can’t wait to see her!

They send them randomly but I had asked Santa chewy lol for one and they said wrote a handwritten card that it was Christmas in July so stink in cute. I’d prewash All blankets, beds,clothing etc to take out some of the factory chemicals since their All synthetic to protect her baby puppy skin. When she rips up a toy, they focus on the squeakers & crinkles noises, will chew in 1 spot, immediately remove & toss out if worn out , to prevent choking. 😮 Years ago train our mini toy poodle to go to the curb, turn around & poop in curb, never pooped on neighbors lawns, then pick up. Neighbors loved us. Whether it be dogs or cats, I spend a year of gentle consistent training, & they turn out well trained(they also train you during this time) their confident, stable, happy, loyal & loving. Whole family needs to be on same page with consistent same training. That lucky little cock a doddle, she’s coming to a very loving family. I can’t wait to see the new fur baby!!! Do you have a name or some names picked out yet? The crate should always be a safe and positive place for dogs. Not something they fear. It’s great that you got the cover For the crate. It’s good to cover them at night to create a cozy feel and also keeps them warmer in the colder months. With the rope toys, make sure you let the dog do the pulling, don’t swing it from side to side or up and down when she has a hold of it because you can injure her neck and trachea. Let her do the pulling mainly and on your end you can more gently tug at it. As for the puppy pads, I guarantee you you will be breaking that bag open lol. Twelve weeks is still very young and it’s gonna take her a bit to learn the habit and routine of going outside to potty. It’s best to set up one area for her where you put the pads down and that’s her area, rather than having accidents all over the house without any potty area. That’s the first step of her learning that inside is not for potty, ONLY her area with the pad. She will have accidents, it’s normal, just gently direct her back to her pad or outside when it happens. Take her outside as often as possible and any time she potties outside make a big deal of it, with lots of praise and you can give her a little treat to reward her behavior. As for the two harnesses, it’s great to have more than one. They get dirty and so when you need to wash one you’ll have another one that’s clean and ready to wear. You are gonna have so much fun with this little fur baby!! It’s great how you’ve gotten all ready for her arrival. It’s so exciting!

So sorry to add more. Not sure of your plan for when you and husband are at work, but when she is alone you will need a puppy gate and keep her in the same room each day until you get home. Dont close the door. Puppy gates are best and then you can slowly move her to her crate while at work. Also consider a much shorter leash while she is young. Those long leashes could let her get too far ahead of you on walks. Soon you can go to the longer length. Sorry to share so much. I have just been in your shoes and i am that crazy dog mom that has learned alot about pups through the years.

Aww Tish. Looks like you're well ready for the new furbaby to arrive. Well done! 👏 We own two fur babies in our home. One is 11 1/2 yrs. old & the other is 4 1/2 yrs. old. My advice would be to only use oatmeal shampoos and unscented wipes as much as possible bcuz their skin could be sensitive to fragrance. I'd also recommend gettinb her raised bowls for food and water as she gets older so as not to strain her neck bending over to eat or drink later. Can't wait to see her soon. 🤗❤🐕 P.S. Also look into any pet insurance plans as early as possible to get a cheap rate while she's still young.
You did great I think you thought of everything, we have 2 puppies in our house both will be a year old soon. The only thing I recommend is a crate pad/bed, I bought fluffy ones like the paw bed, I got mine on Amazon, my dogs love there beds in the crate, we don't make them sleep in there's anymore except for timeout when they gang up on my cats. They go in and out of them for naps now plus they have beds in our living room too. They are alot of fun can't wait meet your new baby girl!!

I have a Shih Tzu dog, she will be 8yrs old next month, & she is house trained for sure, & we started her with a Crate & she still loves her crate & I leave it opened so she can go in & out of it. She never liked any of those fun type toys you have for your dog, I bought them when she was born but again not all dogs like all those toys, but hey maybe your dog will. I never let my dog eat the foods we eat & when we eat she was never allowed to be near our eating area. She is definitely on a going out to potty same time everyday. But I've had her since she was born. Good luck, I hope everything works out. Cute 🐕 Dog name Hershey.
Great haul. Try to stay away from the puppy pads. I have found that if they are out they are more likely to use them and not go outside. Also put a blanket and a toy in her crate when you lock her up so she doesn’t feel like it’s a punishment. We crate trained our lab and I swear by it. They get use to it so they will go and sleep in it. Also be careful when you play with bracelets on dogs can crew them or they can get caught on things. Make sure the girls things are picked up because dogs love to chew. I have had many a Barbie get chewed up when I was a kid. Also watch leaving shoes out too. Puppies love to chew so if she chews on something she shouldn’t give her one of her toys. You are going to have a few growing pains but trust me it’s all worth it in the end. When they are so excited to see you and give you all the love and kisses it just melts your heart. We had our lab for 11 wonderful years and I would not change that for the world. Plus our two cats brings us such joy. I am so excited for your family on this new adventure.
You took the words out of my mouth. Puppy pads should have a warning label on them. Once you teach them to potty inside it's very hard to break. We too crate trained, if done right it's a great tool.
I love all the things you bought! I remember when you bought all those toys and stuff at big lots 😂.. Also I think you should buy some more rope toys and balls! That will definitely be good and tire her out.
Get pet insurance for your pup vet bills, and any surgeries can be they can add up as your vet they should give you a folder of coupons for you. Get a vet that can also board them in case you have an emergency or go on vacation they can stay. You might want to get a leash that lights up for your night walks easier for people to see you. Get your pup microchip when you can it will give you peace of mind in case she gets lost. I got a gentle leader for my dog instead of a harness cause she will drag you otherwise . Congratulations on getting your new puppy, and those leashes are the best.

Get puppy friendly toys and treats and always inspect during and after use. Discard ones that break apart to prevent her from ingesting the filling in cheaper made toys. Make sure electric cords are not within reach, puppies like to chew everything. Keep her crated at night or safely contained to avoid any injuries or accidents overnight or when she’s alone. Don’t mean to scare you lol but puppies are like toddlers, they get into trouble but watching them grow and learn is the best thing ever, just like human kids!!!
Put together a fiest aid kit for her. Nail clippers, styptic powder, eye rinse/wipes..your vet can guide you on what to have on hand. A book on first aid techniques is a good idea
My fur baby turned 7 last week. I got him when he was 4. I didn't do the bells. He's my first baby so I gradually got the hang of knowing when he needed to go outside.

When do you get to take her home?! I got my puppy in January this year and I had sooo much things too! Something I would recommend is getting a white noise machine to play when you are away. She may sleep a little easier when you are away. Also, I kept a little camera streaming live and I could check it on my phone while I was at work to check in on her throughout the day.
She is spoiled already. The best thing we invested in for use between baths was a really good deodorant spray. Oh and for all the pets things now your fur baby will need a playmate too!😊❤

You should have the stop bleed kit if you decide to cut the nails. I also had to get a grooming hammock for Remi( my Frenchie) because he is a wild lil man & it really calms him! You got this Tish! You can get natural peanut butter for your puppy it’s good and safe as well and cheaper then the peanut butter in dog center or store Walmart has that nature peanut butter
I was like that with my cat too. They are just like a kid and you worry about them just about as much. You will be like, Are you happy? Do you feel bad? Are you hungry? Are you cold? Lol. It's just another baby to add to your life. You are not alone. You are a good mom and you will be a good fur baby mom.❤
The reason I say get the pedipaw is because the toenail clippers pinch there cuticles and hurts them don't forget also to get her started on a heartworm pill and pet insurance
Can't wait to see the new little baby girl. Yes you will be cleaning up accidents. Just a tip. Arm and hammer makes a product called PET FRESH. When she has a piddle accidents on carpets, BLOT Aas much as possible with paper towels. Then pile on the pet fresh, let it absorb and start to dry them use a dust pan to scoop it up then vacuum. Now use the spray cleaner to clean the carpet. Believe me this works. I trained two St. Bernard's. They produce floods. I speak from experience. New I have cocker spaniel 's. Greenies are a must for dental hygiene. I have used wellness treats for over 10 years my puppy loves them. Be careful with organic or natural peanut butter - there is some ingredient that is not good for dogs. Ask your vet. I just use Jiff for the Kong. Good luck and enjoy!

Aww Tish. Looks like you're well ready for the new furbaby to arrive. Well done! 👏 We own two fur babies in our home. One is 11 1/2 yrs. old & the other is 4 1/2 yrs. old. My advice would be to only use oatmeal shampoos and unscented wipes as much as possible bcuz their skin could be sensitive to fragrance. I'd also recommend gettinb her raised bowls for food and water as she gets older so as not to strain her neck bending over to eat or drink later. Can't wait to see her soon. 🤗❤🐕 P.S. Also look into any pet insurance plans as early as possible to get a cheap rate while she's still young.

You did great I think you thought of everything, we have 2 puppies in our house both will be a year old soon. The only thing I recommend is a crate pad/bed, I bought fluffy ones like the paw bed, I got mine on Amazon, my dogs love there beds in the crate, we don't make them sleep in there's anymore except for timeout when they gang up on my cats. They go in and out of them for naps now plus they have beds in our living room too. They are alot of fun can't wait meet your new baby girl!!
Hey Tish, congrats on getting a fur baby, I hope you held on to your receipts, because you never know your dog may not like or use any of them adorable toys you bought her. I have a Shih Tzu dog, she will be 8yrs old next month, & she is house trained for sure, & we started her with a Crate & she still loves her crate & I leave it opened so she can go in & out of it. She never liked any of those fun type toys you have for your dog, I bought them when she was born but again not all dogs like all those toys, but hey maybe your dog will. I never let my dog eat the foods we eat & when we eat she was never allowed to be near our eating area. She is definitely on a going out to potty same time everyday. Great haul. Try to stay away from the puppy pads. I have found that if they are out they are more likely to use them and not go outside. Also put a blanket and a toy in her crate when you lock her up so she doesn’t feel like it’s a punishment. We crate trained our lab and I swear by it. They get use to it so they will go and sleep in it. Also be careful when you play with bracelets on dogs can crew them or they can get caught on things. Make sure the girls things are picked up because dogs love to chew. I have had many a Barbie get chewed up when I was a kid. Also watch leaving shoes out too. Puppies love to chew so if she chews on something she shouldn’t give her one of her toys. You are going to have a few growing pains but trust me it’s all worth it in the end. When they are so excited to see you and give you all the love and kisses it just melts your heart. We had our lab for 11 wonderful years and I would not change that for the world. Plus our two cats brings us such joy. I am so excited for your family on this new adventure.
You took the words out of my mouth. Puppy pads should have a warning label on them. Once you teach them to potty inside it's very hard to break. We too crate trained, if done right it's a great tool.

Get pet insurance for your pup vet bills, and any surgeries can be they can add up as your vet they should give you a folder of coupons for you. Get a vet that can also board them in case you have an emergency or go on vacation they can stay. You might want to get a leash that lights up for your night walks easier for people to see you. Get your pup microchip when you can it will give you peace of mind in case she gets lost. I got a gentle leader for my dog instead of a harness cause she will drag you otherwise . Congratulations on getting your new puppy, and those leashes are the best.

I’m so happy to hear you won’t leave her in the crate 😊but it is good for her to have her own little space, with the tug toy it’s best to just hold it still and let her tug away on it , that way she won’t injure her neck or shoulders by being pulled to hard from your end of the tug, great video and I can’t wait to see her and to hear what her name is ❤

You can put the big comfy blanket on the couch and that can be her spot so you don’t get dog hair all over your couch.
Get puppy friendly toys and treats and always inspect during and after use. Discard ones that break apart to prevent her from ingesting the filling in cheaper made toys.
Make sure electric cords are not within reach, puppies like to chew everything.
Keep her crated at night or safely contained to avoid any injuries or accidents overnight or when she’s alone.
Don’t mean to scare you lol but puppies are like toddlers, they get into trouble but watching them grow and learn is the best thing ever, just like human kids!!!

Put together a fiest aid kit for her. Nail clippers, styptic powder, eye rinse/wipes..your vet can guide you on what to have on hand. A book on first aid techniques is a good idea

My fur baby turned 7 last week. I got him when he was 4. I didn't do the bells. He's my first baby so I gradually got the hang of knowing when he needed to go outside.

When do you get to take her home?! I got my puppy in January this year and I had sooo much things too! Something I would recommend is getting a white noise machine to play when you are away. She may sleep a little easier when you are away. Also, I kept a little camera streaming live and I could check it on my phone while I was at work to check in on her throughout the day.

Yes start clipping the nails early so she gets use to it as part of her grooming! Definitely get nail clippers! And brushing her teeth!

I would recommend a notebook binder to keep all her medical records together. 📕 Also I’m so afraid of cutting with the nail clippers so I use a nail grinder. You should have the stop bleed kit if you decide to cut the nails. I also had to get a grooming hammock for Remi( my Frenchie) because he is a wild lil man & it really calms him! You got this Tish! That lil baby girl is so blessed to have you!

You can get natural peanut butter for your puppy it’s good and safe as well and cheaper then the peanut butter in dog center or store Walmart has that nature peanut butter

Can't wait to see the new little baby girl. Yes you will be cleaning up accidents. Just a tip. Arm and hammer makes a product called PET FRESH. When she has a piddle accidents on carpets, BLOT Aas much as possible with paper towels. Then pile on the pet fresh, let it absorb and start to dry them use a dust pan to scoop it up then vacuum. Now use the spray cleaner to clean the carpet. Believe me this works. I trained two St. Bernard's. They produce floods. I speak from experience. New I have cocker spaniel 's. Greenies are a must for dental hygiene. I have used wellness treats for over 10 years my puppy loves them. Be careful with organic or natural peanut butter - there is some ingredient that is not good for dogs. Ask your vet. I just use Jiff for the Kong. Good luck and enjoy!

Get your vet to show you how to cut the nails. If it’s done wrong, you can hurt her. If you make the nail bleed, it’s a big deal.
It's not really a huge deal. Get some styptic powder to stop the bleeding quickly.
Might not be to you but it would be for the dog, cutting the quick is very painful
@@AngelMatty-y7zI agree, my vet actually did this to my dog and he never forgot it. He’d totally freak out during nail clippings after that and I don’t blame him, it was super painful.
Research good doggie daycare since you both work outside the home. She'll come home all worn out from playing and learning all day .
