Joey...the biggest issue we always have is the lack of seating available for us older folks waiting for our grandchildren to get off rides. have you noticed any increase in seating? coming 2nd week in August! can't wait...5 grandchildren deep now.
Great video Joey! We'll be there again in August. Cant wait. On there love the Ferris Wheel, Swings, Moby Dick, & Music Express. Loved the Flyer, it was my first coaster ride!
Couldn’t make it this weekend because of hold communion parties. but I’ll head down next weekend to film a vid that weekend. And I might make it for the surfside and adventure pier opening days of I can.
I'm surprised that you didn't take any video of the Side by Side races that Red Bull put on on Saturday, which I should mention that the trophies that the podium finishers were given in the professional and sportsmen's divisions were a sand sculpture of a Side by Side with the welcome sign off of the George Reading bridge along with the Red Bull Beach Scramble logo
Ambassador to the Wildwoods Thank you Joey for all the great vidios. Can remember about a year ago you mentioned that you and your lovely wife were taking time from your bust schedules to volunteer for Ukraine aide. Are you still doing that. We like to go down for a three or four day weekend trip to Wildwood mother's day weekend. Parking meters are still free to believe middle of May. A friend told me that he paid $4.30 for a slice of plain boardwalk pizza. Thought we only paid $3 or a little more two summers ago. Hard to figure out who does best job for the Wildwoods you or the two Morey brothers. Both are best in class.
Hey!!! Yes we are still volunteering (creating IFAKs and Military Medical Backpacks), We are also raising money for my wife's town and family. The biggest thing they need are drones. Meters are still free until the 15th I believe but Morey's has their meters on. (yes pizza slices are stupidly expensive now)
It’s looking great this year! As you know, Wildwood has had its ups and downs over the years! Glad to see everything looking shiny and new. We’ll be there June 15th! Yay!
I wasn't there since July 5-9, 2011 either, and before that June 1998, June 1996, August 1995, and August 1983 and August 1982. I got to experience Hunt's Pier with my late father who passed March 8, 1986 to a car hitting him at night when walking 2 miles from our house, and I experienced Castle Dracula and Dungeon boat ride in the 90's, and Dinosaur Beach 1996 and 1998, rode the Golden Nugget several times again and Escape from Dinosaur Beach ride and in 1998 Log Flume and Rapids for the first and last time. All of those things no longer exist, Dinosaur Beach closed after 1998, Castle Dracula burned down Jan 16, 2002 because two guys who skipped school broke into the exit of the castle and lit a torch to see and it caught fire and they ran out and down to the street and were arrested by a officer. They didn't get jail time because they were minors at the time. You can ride a new version of the Nugget at Knoebel's. I have a younger brother and we lost our mom last June 14 because her breathing was bad, she was willing to take us to Wildwood all those times even in the 90's after our father passed away and in July 2011. I went through Ghost Ship then as well as a short lived haunt called Morbid Manor on Sportland Pier by Eric Princz who worked for Brigantine Castle through 1984, then Castle Dracula 1985 and a few of the older former Castle Dracula people like Colleen Kittrick at the ticket booth, Ed Kennedy her ex-husband, and Anita Wheeler worked there as well. I bet most people under 22 and first time visitors 2002 and up never knew Castle Dracula existed.
Awesome video! Man talk about getting me excited for summer time. Oh the smell of funnel cake. 🤤 Any updates on adventure pier? Love ya brother and tell the wife I said hello 👋
I am Phoma the state of Delaware open at last summer. Me, mom and dad went to wild water, water, water, wild water, wild water, wild Wildwood, New Jersey. It was so much fun I love old movi
My wife’s cousins husband use to be the rides mechanic for many years till he passed away after at a October festival on the boardwalk chocked on a piece of pizza and rushed to the hospital he didn’t make it but his job was always to make sure the rides were working and safe for the people to ride he was known on the piers as the godfather Pedro my family members own Mr. D’s pizza so if your down there stop by grab a pizza or some grub
I really really hope the Ghost Ship opens this year. My gf and I always have intense skee ball competitions too! I just wish the arcade had more video games in it, and not giant redemption games.
The Jack Rabbit next to the Tunnel of Love/Dracula's Castle was a fun one too. I'd choose a wooden coaster over a tubular steel one any day of the week.
Well, the Great White which opened in 1996 is still there at the end of the former Fun Pier which was rebranded Wild Wheels Raceway and Adventure Pier in 1992 after Morey's bought it in 1987. Now, it's just Adventure Pier. There was supposed to be a wood coaster built between Surfside (Morey's) and former Dino Beach/Hunt's piers but it never happened. The only other surviving wood coasters on the eastern seaboard are the Cyclone in Coney Island, NY and the Swamp Fox at Family Kingdom in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Ghost ships sad i always wondered if i just had bad timing. Also won ine of them seaguls like a month ago on my first try...got it for my kids...sister kidnapped it tho. Still miss wildwood doing halloween attractions in october those where the best
Hey Joey love your videos! Look forward to going to wildwood every summer! Do u know if all the gondolas will be on the giant wheel this season? I noticed a few were missing!
I do hope that the Ghost Ship reopens. Wildwood hasn't been the same since the loss of Castle Dracula to fire on Jan 16, 2002. With it closed the only scary ride is Dante's Dungeon on the other pier to the north, Pirate's of Wildwood isn't so much scary anymore than when it was Dark River, it's more of a blacklight trip through Wildwood.
Two reasons, maintenance and the wind. In the off-season, we have some crazy wind down here and the less gondolas you have on it the less surface friction, the wind has on the wheel.
I do enjoy the piers, even though it is a rip off. I am not a fan of Phil Murphy. Skyscraper, is sick. I will visit this summer, no doubt. I visit once, every year.
Before you watch the video below, please consider subscribing to our RUclips channel (We are trying to hit 100K subscribers by Labor Day).
Still have the log floom?
When I was younger I would go for two weeks every year.. Loved it there we had so much fun..
Joey, everyone looks happy! Wildwood days are here!
Please keep us informed about the Ghost Ship. 😊
Yes please do that
you know I will!!
Joey...the biggest issue we always have is the lack of seating available for us older folks waiting for our grandchildren to get off rides. have you noticed any increase in seating? coming 2nd week in August! can't wait...5 grandchildren deep now.
I did see some new benches near founders pavilion
@@WildwoodVideoArchive maybe some people read our comments?!!! love it.
Love this, thank you.
So nice to see the boardwalk come alive.
Hey Joey and Julia. Great video. My family will be down for the weekend just after mother's day. Great to see the volume of people visiting already.
Thanks Joey, I still miss opening day on the boards. Retired to the beach just no boardwalks like that down here. Great seeing them again.
Hi Joey. Good to see the Boardwalk come alive. Thanks.
Can't wait to come to WildWood, been coming every year since 1994
So many memories !!
Hope to get down there this summer!

Can’t wait for Memorial Day weekend
Great video Joey! We'll be there again in August. Cant wait. On there love the Ferris Wheel, Swings, Moby Dick, & Music Express. Loved the Flyer, it was my first coaster ride!
Money Dick is also my favorite ride! Love the ball drop games!
Couldn’t make it this weekend because of hold communion parties. but I’ll head down next weekend to film a vid that weekend.
And I might make it for the surfside and adventure pier opening days of I can.

They should make atlantic city boardwalk
Like wildwood nj. Also ocean city nj too
The white one near the water park
When do the fireworks start again?
What was the vintage looking ride near the dipping dots next to the 3D journey? Bumper cars?
I really really hope the Ghost Ship opens this year. My gf and I always have intense skee ball competitions too! I just wish the arcade had more video games in it, and not giant redemption games.
I am hoping too. I love that ride. It's the jewel of the pier!
My favorite roller-coaster: The Flyer, Hunts Pier.
The Jack Rabbit next to the Tunnel of Love/Dracula's Castle was a fun one too. I'd choose a wooden coaster over a tubular steel one any day of the week.

Hi Joey
Is it me or is the giant Ferris wheel missing some of that I don’t know what those things are called the statue sitting
Hi Joey. Do you know what happened to the giant sunny the seagull statue on top of the beach ball at mariners landing
Did I see $10 for a "regular" size Dippin Dots! The world has gone insane
ahaha yes plus tax!!!

Ski ball
Please tell us if the pirates of the Wildwood is open!
Joey, you may know the answer, why is every 4th gondola off the Ferris wheel?
Two reasons, maintenance and the wind. In the off-season, we have some crazy wind down here and the less gondolas you have on it the less surface friction, the wind has on the wheel.
@@WildwoodVideoArchive makes sense! I am assuming by Memorial Day/4th of July it should be at full capacity
Skee Ball and the coin machines
LOVE Skee Ball!!
Great Nor Easter or Sea Serpent
Can you make a video on the ghost ship
I would if it ever opened lol
Are the fries there still
Do you know who owns the boardwalk mall?
I do enjoy the piers, even though it is a rip off. I am not a fan of Phil Murphy. Skyscraper, is sick. I will visit this summer, no doubt. I visit once, every year.
What does Murphy do with this?
eueue I can do that I can get the day off 📴 you can eat it and then 0:17
