The Oscarsborg fortress is widely known for the sinking of the german cruiser the "Blücher" 9th April 1940. But the fortress' history starts 300 years before. In this video Morten Svinndal tells us how it all began back in the 1640s.

I have never heard about the Hannibal War understood from the Norwegian perspective and that Oscarsborg had this story before 1940. Good to learn about our common Scandinavian history
