As a Texas oil professional who has 50 years in the industry (primarily in the Permian Basin), I find “Landman” show comically inaccurate, but very entertaining. btw, I love your show. Thanks so much for providing it on RUclips. I worked in the east Kansas oilfields for years, and loved my time there.
I think the legal discussions regarding the oil and gas industry here showed that from one stage onwards, your level of determination and high concentration in your work determines everything, and you must achieve a high level of mastery.
I've been asked by a couple of friends about "Landman" and it's accuracy as I worked in Casper in oil. Your opinions are pretty close to mine, and when I have had the conversation about the safety accidents, they know it's not accurate, but they don't care because the characters and storyline are engaging. From my experience, it's been positive exposing it to the general public. One of my friends is in agriculture, owned cows, etc. He gets the inaccuracies because "Yellowstone" doesn't know what the hell they are doing with respect to cattle. He also signed up for Paramount+ just for Landman., so they should be happy about that.
This story that happened to you, in my time now and a little earlier, imagine that in 2024 the church will be forced upon you in the same way as in 1950, with the update and adjustment of the year 2024.
First i wouldn't consider i cant remember her name cooper's girlfriend. A friend that is female yes. I think he feels an obligation to help her. Not sure as a society we always have to assume other motives. If something flourishes from it thats one thing, but i think his intentions are pure of just wanting to help her out.
I feel like when you say that people who are not in the oil and gas industry don't know the story. It's a matter of being a man and having a purpose in exchange for having enough courage to die.
