    I'm only 7 minutes in and I already learned so many tricks and valuable information. Like controlling the kick low-end, using portamento for the rumble and how to monitor the master output level.
    This video is an absolute goldmine of helpful knowledge.
    Thank you so much, you are a legend

    • @slavasoloma
      @slavasoloma  17 дней назад +1

      Yeah I used this trick on the DT1 for years to see if my Patterns are clipping or not. You have to mix as hot as possible to keep the noise floor on external Mixers at a minimum or if you use the OT as a Mixer. The preamps on the OT can get quite noisy if turned up too much.

      Thank you for watching. Elektron workflow has to be learned and you need some time with it. After 5 Years I am confident enough with the DT2 to put out some Tutorials and I don't even use most of the stuff they offer.

    ich habe in den letzten 10 jahren einige setups für dawless ausprobiert aber ich muss sagen das die DT2 der absolute burner ist. geiler tipp mit den makros. wieder ein sehr cooles video. konnte mir echt viel mitnehmen. bin auch noch etwas neu im digitakt game^^
    also den letzten teil mit den frequenzen hab ich nicht ganz verstanden. hab es auch paar mal angehört aber......... vielleicht kannste dazu ja nochmal kurz eine visualisierung machen... oder so.

    • @slavasoloma
      @slavasoloma  17 дней назад +1

      Freut mich, dass du gut as mitnehmen konntest. Ja das mit den Frequenzen ist n Life Hack wenn man z.B. nen SPAN als VST fürs Monitoring nutzt und schauen möchte ob die Balance passt. Ich werde in Zukunft auch n Ableton Tutorial machen wie man one Take recordings bearbeitet.

    • @cyberinstinction
      @cyberinstinction 16 дней назад

      @@slavasoloma den SPAN hatte ich schon mal mit der MC707 getestet. der ist gut aber ist auch schon ne weile her. ich versuche eher die finge von ableton zu lassen und DAWLESS only. ich freu mich über alles was mich weiterbringt.

    Hello. Nice video. I have a Rytm Mk2 and Four Mk2..., and I finish my productions in Ableton normally, although I would like to get complete tracks on these machines. I had also thought about including a DT2 to the set to have more play. Thank you for this tutorial. ❤🔊🔊

    • @slavasoloma
      @slavasoloma  16 дней назад +1

      Thanks! If you want to make whole Track the DT2 is maybe the most complete machine. If you sample stuff from your other hardware it becomes the main hub to finish them.

    • @stereohertz
      @stereohertz 15 дней назад +1

      @ Do you think you can make totally professional productions with an Elektron system? Or on the contrary is it always necessary to finish the projects in a DAW to get a really good sound?

    • @slavasoloma
      @slavasoloma  14 дней назад +1

      @@stereohertz I just record my master straight into my phone for Jams. If you want to release that stuff professionally I would recommend at least take a listen in the DAW or send it to someone for mastering to watch your loudness so it stays competitive. Some Compression and final EQing to make it sound good on most systems is necessary too . Hardware Monitoring, EQs and Comps just cost too much so a DAW is the cheapest solution for most of us

    Really cool video mate! In what frequency do you cut the bass from the "rumble" sine wave? because if you use just a sine wave there is only one harmonic which can be balanced just from the volume knob. Maybe you could do a whole video on this specific issue! it would be nice to see some actually usefull information about the bass frequencies in a techno song as its an issue to almost all artists who don't have any experience with their music played on club soundsystems!

    • @slavasoloma
      @slavasoloma  14 дней назад

      tbh I need like 2-4 years to learn producing in Ableton. First is to learn your tools. Hardware based production can be challenging and I started with it after 10 years making music. I would recommend to learn synthesis at first with some software making basic tracks and finish as many tracks as possible even if they may be something you don't like

    I suggest on the OXI seq 1 & 2 multitrack and seq 3 & 4 mono??

    • @slavasoloma
      @slavasoloma  17 дней назад +1

      1 is MULTI and 3-4 is MONO as the DT2 does not have polyphony. But you could kind of do sudo polyphony with the MULTI and 2-3 TRACKs on the DT2

    Why do you keep all levels to the max and control each track from the AMP env “volume”?

    • @slavasoloma
      @slavasoloma  17 дней назад +1

      Hi. It's a habit from DT1 as you have the global Mixer so I can balance my stuff while sound checking in the Venue. This is How I work in Ableton live too. I use the Volume faders only on final mixing stage. Most leveling gets done with Clip Gain or Utility device
