I agree with you on the father's and the music, everything has a root and the root was the demasculation of our family men thru slavery FIRST! Then the subsequent laws like the great society. Also there are numerous families out there that are not Christians that have good families. I grew in a single parent household and had a great mom. All three of her sons were well respected hardworking individuals as I am one. Just because blacks were free after emancipation, it was still hard. Have you ever heard of Jim Crow. Any normal male can be a father, but it takes a real man to be a Daddy. Hope you read this. I believe you would be really surprised in most blacks would adopt the life you talk about. Sane family, educated children, then I believe you would see white racial idolatry because then we would be a threat. Did you miss talking about Arkansas? Remember when the white guy went in and targeted people because of the color of their skin. Respond Jason!!!

Brandon Johnson represents an obsolete and outdated mode of thinking. As D. Squires says, he's unable to formulate ideas that address the challenges marginalized communties face today. Johnson is like a military general or political leader who is determined to fight the last war not the next war. Brandon Johnson and his ilk are like the French army of 1939 unable and unwilling to confront the threat that actually exists.

That mayor has not done any research on Richard Nixon. As president, Nixon signed some of the biggest civil rights legislation and expanded others. As vice president , he spearheaded the 1957 civil rights act which was the precursor to the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964/65. He also doubled black businesses. Nixon sought to end segregated schools. This is just a few examples. Nixon’s civil rights legacy is strong

@@Jdoggity It was the right decision at the time. Nixon drove a wedge between the USSR and China back when China was far weaker than the USSR (militarily and economically) . It was brilliant diplomacy. Nixon literally started the breakup of the cold war stalemate with that trip. To your point, however, the mistake was made decades later by subsequent administrations who failed to adjust to the changing political realities around the collapse of the USSR and the rising threat of China. We should have revised our policies to China in the 1990s. .

    • @abrister2054

The official narrative on Nixon is more false than true. You are correct about him being more pro than anti civil rights. He also signed off on the Clean Air and Water Act. Watergate was the second CIA overthrow of a president (JFK was first). Nixon went off script with regards to foreign policy so he was targeted for removal. These days, Nixon looks pretty good compared to what we have had in the Oval Office since he left.

I was born in Chicago, most of my relatives still live in the Chicago suburbs. I've been back there many times as an adult. The violence is the only thing that keeps me from moving back. I've spent decades troubled over it and trying to figure out why violence is so prevalent there and how to turn that around. I believe the key to the cause and how to change it is change the local TV stations programming. Chicago TV is the one place that all the old movies played are based on crime, gangs and mobs. When thats all you feed to a society that's what you'll get. The TV stations are literally programming the people. Cuba gets old cowboy movies. The people there think that's how America still is, just like old westerns. Change the TV programming, it will take time but stop instilling gang behavior in people and the behavior will stop. Chicago is the only place where TV programming is based on criminal lifestyle. Change it and you change the mindsets of the people.

Delano nailed it on the immigrants. It's the politicians. If I was living in a third world country I'd sure as hell try to get here.

The church of the FEARLESS ARMY! Sign me up! Mr. Whitlock making it make sense. I wish people had just at least half of your common sense, the world would be such a much better place for us to live. Thank God for people like you in our world. You are in a way the buffer between sanity and insanity in the insane world we live in.🙏🏻

There was one good thing that the Great Society produced . A teenage George Foreman joined Johnson's Job Corp , began boxing , won the gold medal in Mexico City, and
    eventually the heavyweight championship.

For Delano, its not the conservative right that wants illegal immigration, its the Uni-Party Right (and left) and their allies in the US Chamber of Commerce, which is trade org for the Uni-Party.

Fun fact... In 1934 the b lack ending rate was 71... By 2021 it was reduced to 61 per 100k... This idea that the family stopped endings is ahistorical.

Nearly every major U.S. city is a failed city, because cities have abdicated their most important responsibility......protecting its citizenry. Sadly, the residents continue to put the same politicians in power because they are told that it is a group of people who are not committing the violence or have any influence that are to blame....and they buy it. I view Chicago as I do a number of major U.S. cities as places that are gone forever, because those who reside in the city have not only accepted the status quo, but support it. As Thomas Jefferson once said, "people get the government they deserve".

Clearly shows that Jason and this other guy lives in a bubble. Some good points made but to ignore the designed system of deprivation and oppression in targeted black communities is a sign of ignorance and denial. Love the show and stay blessed
