for luxury properties, I would say amenities are the way to go for both new and old money. old money tends to stagnate without new ideas and new money needs the connections of old money to grow. amenities are where they meet and get to know each other. the club ( golf/tennis/yacht, not the disco) is where you meet people of your financial and educational standing. money and things are boring but activities with people at least have the possibility to be interesting. having the ability to meet people that understand your passions beyond the high cost involved is not something you can find just anywhere. if you think back to your time living in One Queensridge Place, how many people did you meet in the elevatiors and cafe and how many of those people are still important in your life?
Interesting thoughts, I’ve kept in touch with a handful of residents:) I do agree people mingle in certain areas due to interests and hobbies/lifestyle
