So I installed this exact intake yesterday and I will say that whoever says a cold air intake is a waste of money has no idea what they are talking about. I expected to hear the engine suck air and maybe a tad bit throttle response improvement. The first thing I noticed was the Iouder now, nothing crazy but a noticeable difference. 2nd the throttle response has a slight improvement but where I really noticed it is in the high rpms. My car didn't really pull in the top end but I tell you what after installing this intake when I get into the higher rpms damn I can feel my stomach pushing against my spine now! What a difference!! Worth every penny.
Sorry to burst your bubble but other then looks, which I agree they look a lot better then the stock box they gain you very little in performance. If you watch in the video when they take the stock box out it had an air inlet passage ( the part with the foam gasket ). The CAI one does not have this feature. So for looks yes def worth every penny but for performance you honestly do not gain all that much.
I used Cold Air Inductions on my two Camaros 5th gen the 1LT and SS. It makes the engine breathe better for sure and I was happy with it. I own a 6 gen ZL1 and waiting for my Carbon Elite CAI to arrive soon. Many of those who bought it said they went for the look only not the performance. I'm not sure if that is entirely true until I try it. It is the most expensive intake in the market though. It deserves a review guys.
I just don't get where it's getting the colder air from..? Is there a slot on the front of the box..? Personally, I'd love to see testing with a thermometer inside the box vs the OEM to see just how much of a difference it is as I haven't personally experienced it and can't quite see how it's working.
The window is for show yes but it plays a bigger role. You want 100% cold air when doing an upgrade. This box shields the hot air from the engine and allows the filter to only pull cold air.
The first time I saw one of their CAI, it was on a 5th gen Camaro SS and was very impressed with it. Im a long-time hot rodder/buiilder and have seen many others over the years, but they are different than any others that I've seen on the market. I like it that the tops are see through and sealed off, as well as the intake tubes are ceramic coated aluminum. Instead of plastic, like the majority of them that are on the market. I'm currently building a Challenger SRT8 and had one from aFe on it, so I'm getting one one of those to replace it with
I cringe when I see people toss tools under the hood of a car. I mean yeah it's just the engine bay... but no one wants little nicks and scratches from tossing screw drivers and wrenches around on the radiator shroud. Anyhow... looks good!
stevesquick92 agree...I'm a truck & coach technician (aka: diesel mechanic) by trade and even on a 300ton slag hauler for the steel mill machine I never just toss my tools around the engine compartment... always lay a few rags down they help protect the painted area but they also prevent small tools & sockets from falling into holes & spaces awesome video.. Cheers from 🇨🇦 Luke

I am trying to convert my 2017 Chevy Camaro SS convertible from a dual exhaust with single tips to a dual exhaust with Quad tips. Any suggestions? I was thinking a Borla ATAK model 11920? Let me know!
Hi, i know this is an old video but after 6 years did you still have the Cold Air Induction, if yes, was it worth it and did you tuned? I order one of these last week and would like to know if you have any more reviews of it. thks in advance
Is this cold air intake better than an AFE GT Momentum? I’m stuck in deciding between the two to go with a ported and filled intake manifold and also a big throttle body.
what do you mean cant get a HP tune for the 17 LTs yet. You're saying that if I buy headers, ported intake manifold, throttle body, and cold air intake that I cant get it tuned on my 2017 Camaro SS M6?
Hammerdown motorsports. I have the 2017 ss with this cai and a intune3 diablo. I took it to have it dynod today and it was all a complete failure. Fuel/air was from 12 to 18 and i got 370 to the wheels and 405 tor. My buddy was there with a stock 16 and got 398 and 415. So i took the tune out and back to stock. Then fuel was in the 11s and i still only made around 360hp. After tht run it would not gain power at all. Most was 250hp and the intake temp was up around 170. I did notice no fans was in front of car. Im lost on what to do.
Just check their website I have no idea why they don't offer cold air induction kit with sound tube delete? I won't buy one that doesn't have that option
I have not put the stock cai back on and its stock tuned. Gonna take it back tomo. Any advice. Its a a8 also. ThNks in advanced to any advice from anyone.
Rob K. I went back. Got 411 to the wheels hp and 432 tor to the wheels. Bone stock. Only the big muffler cut off. Best track numbers with stock tires 12.45 in the quarter. About 60 deg outside tht night. I sent the tuner back. Since then i have put the cai back on. But have not been back to the track.
JJtheJetplane2595 I’ve had it tuned a couple of times now but it’s always a good idea to tune it when adding performance parts but if you are just doing the intake it’s not required
This is the best one "Cold Air Inductions". Reason being is that is shields all the engine bay heat allowing the intake box to pull cold air only. Which is what you want and are trying to produce when doing this mod. Others work but not as well as this one. Ive done a ton of research and all the reviews and testimonials and dyno testing point to CAI
I'll never understand why people don't use sockets on hose clamps instead of screwdrivers that can and often do slip off the head. This often results in the screwdriver scratching something along the way. Using a socket/ratchet combo doesn't have this issue.

John B that’s awesome so glad you like the difference it made Cold Air Inductions makes an amusing product
@Michael Cass I don't give a shit about a track run
@@johnb3231 hahaha word!

So if it's 90° outside is it capturing that hot air in that box? 🤔
You have to love it when your car makes you grin like that!

Are you serious? You paid Andy to install a cold air intake? All you need is a box cutter, screw driver, a ratchet, and a set of balls man!
Was just kidding bud, no offense meant. Sorry if it sounded any different.
LMAO, na man, why I said a couple tools and balls. Yeah, I looked back at it and it did look a bit smartassy. Again, sorry bro, was truly kidding.

Could not agree more, takes 1 extra second to do it carefully.

K&N hot air intake with a plexiglass cover. Looks great! Zero power gain.
Did anyone else notice that cop at 9:27?
How many screwdriver stabs does it take to get to the center of an air box... 3.
you are going to want to wrap the intake tube.. my air temps went up considerably between pulls..
That corvette is bad ass scared the shit out of me even without me being in the actual passenger seat
GM Performance just released that same intake under their brand name, keep it up, car is looking good! 😎
its just to stop a whistling noise, not for added "vortex" of air or anything fancy like that.
"Sounds like America." had me laughing 🤣😂🤣
9:27 was that a cop on the left lmao 😂
Cop entering shopping center at 9:28 while he was flooring it 😂😂
Closed air box not a good thing, unless you live in cali,Check out the new cold air intake from JLT.
What’s the exact name of the black part with Camaro writin n red next to the intake?
I am trying to convert my 2017 Chevy Camaro SS convertible from a dual exhaust with single tips to a dual exhaust with Quad tips. Any suggestions? I was thinking a Borla ATAK model 11920? Let me know!
I would go with the Borla atak for sure
Spacer just eliminates throttle body whistle
I kinda like the whistle...maybe I am in the minority....
Do you disconnect the sound tube and remove. Or does this hook right up to the new intake?
I have 2016 ss camaro will cold air really give more horse? About how much
It does give you a little but generally it’s for a smoother cooler air charge and some extra sound
Hey, you still think it's one of the best intakes? I'm looking to add one at the moment
Do you have to do a tune after installing one of these intakes? Or can you go without it?
Hi, i know this is an old video but after 6 years did you still have the Cold Air Induction, if yes, was it worth it and did you tuned? I order one of these last week and would like to know if you have any more reviews of it. thks in advance
Do this Air Intake need a tune or can you just install and drive?
No tune required
@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA Thank you sir,, its in my cart now and ready to order😀
Is this cold air intake better than an AFE GT Momentum? I’m stuck in deciding between the two to go with a ported and filled intake manifold and also a big throttle body.
I wish they would make these for the 2019 Ram 1500's!
Me too

11s on a NA V8 is too rich...that number is for boosted cars...
Does your intake whistle? I seem to have this issue even with a ported throttle body
I got more intake sound but not a whistle
Watch lethal garage you tuber. He mentioned about the dot line has to be align with the tube.
Like the Camaro.. I have a 2014 Camaro RS, yeah V6, but I like it.. I have a Cold air Induction intake as well
Police at 9:25 lol think hes just parked lol
my first mods will be exhaust, headers, cold air intake, cams and heads
Where to get that chrome Camaro emblem for underneath the hood??
my 2ss 1LE came with it from the factory
Yeah GM's is designed by Cold Air Inductions.
I did put the stock cai back on** and im goin back tomo.
Just check their website I have no idea why they don't offer cold air induction kit with sound tube delete? I won't buy one that doesn't have that option
Very nie air intake. Way better than k&n intakes!
Correct. This is the Lambo of air intakes. Anything you can buy at AutoZone should NOT be bolted onto your car.
I have not put the stock cai back on and its stock tuned. Gonna take it back tomo. Any advice. Its a a8 also. ThNks in advanced to any advice from anyone.

Compared to my buddys stock car and my muffler delete with just pips there i got about 14 more hp and 20 more tor to the wheels.
do you have to tune for this?
Wouldn't let this backyard multifixer touch my car. Tool slipping, tool throwing ON the car itself! But then I'm also European..
Does it add more horspower? And if it does how much do you think it adds
That adds around 11-18 when perfect, they added 8 hp to my car
Is this the 501 1100?
Did you tune it after you put it on??
JJtheJetplane2595 I’ve had it tuned a couple of times now but it’s always a good idea to tune it when adding performance parts but if you are just doing the intake it’s not required
Hammerdown Motorsports AWESOME! Thanks for the info
Did you even test others out because everyone is saying the roto fab is the way to go!

Subbed!
Awesome !!!!
What’s exhaust are you running it sounds so awesome
Oscar Gonzalez thanks it’s American Racing Headers full system
"I'm single you guys".... LMFAOOO great vid !!
Just installed the GM one on mine, looks similar. Is that a cop at 9:27?
Did you have to tune it afterwards??
Hp gains?
Lol that screw driver was all over that car 😂😂😂

The fact that he took his car in, and paid a guy to improperly install his intake says a lot.
Great video , keep it up!
is a tune necessary for this intake?
im planning on tuning my 17 1ss when i do my long tube headers.
GM has an ECU flash for it called Labor Code 0601558
What’s the name of this songggggggg i need it
I honestly couldn't take watching that guy with the screwdriver.
that's why I always use a nut drive instead of a screw driver when working with clamps .
What exhaust is on your car?
sounds really crisp and loud! love it!!
what exhaust is on that vette?
At 9:27s cop car!!!!! Hello :-)
Song name at 3:05?
who pushed down on a tool and turns with the other like that. lmao
That first camaro sounds like a tractor
Its Retros I’ll buy that tractor any day
Stupid sound tube needs to go !!!
