Just switched to the GoPro Hero 8 Black and am amazed with the stabilisation. It has several 'lenses' too and is just perfect for my car channel when I film while driving (all safe, the car drives itself most of the time). It can edit videos too directly on the screen, although it's tiny and fiddly. Perfect camera for my other vlogging channel too as it is discreet and can be pulled out and tugged away in a second. I like the fact that it has only one button to press to turn on and start recording. Waterproof up to 10m and stunning video quality.
Hi Andy, I have to agree, the pictures from the GoPro Hero 8 are pretty outstanding. I have a Session 5 which I use on a small chest-mounted gimbal for cycling POV but I believe the 8 has very good software stabilisation built right in. Is this right?
@@Paddy_Mac Yes, the stabilisation is UNBELIEVABLY good. Running or mountain biking is butter smooth and stable. Stabilisation can also be varied in 3-4 steps to suit your needs. I don't mind the picture been a bit shaky when doing vlogs to match my personal editing and filming style. For certain scenes, I turn the stabiliser down or even off. I used to have a Session 4 before that which was super tiny and a good start in film making due to its size. The 8 is great but comes with some software problems with the current version 1.6.
Hi Saadon, YES! Lav mic tucked in under the lip of my t-shirt collar. Rode Smartlav+ Rode Wireless Go + 3.5 audio jack to USBC to get it into the phone.
Hey there Janjan, thanks for dropping past. The phone / camera is mounted to a simple selfie stick with stabilisation via software in the phone. I'm also shooting with the back facing camera on the .5 setting (ultrawide) so everything appears much more stable.
Thanks for that, am planning to buy this rather than an iphone 11 pro max, it has great stabilization plus you can do a lot with it interms of practicality. What video editor do you usually use?
Love this video..! I'm gonna get me the Note 10 plus even after a year later...
