Ray J and Tamar did a great job!! They need to be the hosts of the awards too!! They are both excellent in transitions, and being engaging with anyone that comes up. I used to love watching award shows with all the fam.. but it became too nasty and dark... but I'm hoping the actual awards can be just fun like this pre show... if not I'm gonna turn it off again.

This was the worst Soul Train awards show I’ve ever seen. Don Cornelius would he turning over in his grave. And I have nothing against the new artist but Soul Train was a blend of the legends, the upcoming legends, and the new artists. It wasn’t a take over of all new & one two from one era. I got the lounge settings after the end of pandemic but not going forward it’s an awards show that needs the audience they help make the show.
