I am proud for her. So many people, men and women, are walking in pain like this and numbing it with substances. She is so brave for admitting it and showing her weaknesses. When you are weak, then you are strong. We need to realize everyone is struggling and we don’t have to be ashamed about it but can help each other. None of us is better than anyone.

It’s none of our business if she had lip fillers, needed anxiety medication or something else, climbing up from almost rock bottom takes time, shame on those who choose to judge others

Yes definitely. I was bullied bad for my curvy body type even though I was a size 6 because in those days if you weren’t a size 0-2 you were considered fat. I still have trauma and bad body image issues from what I experienced.

She's intoxicated. My mom's been an alcoholic my whole life and it's always back to square one. Shell do good for awhile and then it creeps back one way or another. And I feel like the older you get and the more years that tack on that you're out of control the less likely youre gonna successfully accomplish quitting. I feel sorry for her kids. Cuz my childhood sucked from alcohol.

I'm referring to Jessica Simpson clearly being drunk in the interview and falling back into her old ways. You don't change unless you want to and she clearly doesn't want to. Talking about being sober and her eyes are glossed/slurred speech.
jugy 90% of alcoholics relapse within their first 4 years of trying to stay sober. And statistics for long term sobriety are pretty low. Although possible- not easy. I hope she gets help for her kids sake.

What a sweetheart; that story about the humiliation of freezing during her Kennedy Center tribute after getting dumped? Can any woman NOT relate? Only she went through it publicly & live in front of the President, her idols and the world. Brought tears to my eyes. Had Dolly known, I bet she would’ve sat down Jessica & collaborated co-writing a song about it on the spot.
May Simpson’s sharing help other young women realize such trials are not embarrassments; they are the academy of the human condition. If you just don’t quit, you WILL graduate with so much wisdom to share one day, too!

I'm an old Texas girl and I've loved that Texas girl since she first started. I even watched her Reality Show with Nick, and she's so hilarious. People are gonna be mean no matter who you are or how you look. They're just jealous! Can't wait to read her book and I'm so proud of her sobriety. From one Texan to another....Love you girl!!

I have always loved JS. She is real, humble, and loveable.
I once met her nanny (who was also the former nanny to Alaniss Morisette)
She said Jessica was a total sweetheart and treated her well. She stated the exact opposite regarding Alannis.
That's the prize and the price of being rich, famous, talented and gorgeous. No one can have it all. She's a human being and she also has her dark side. She have let us see her other side from her past through this memoir and I would give Jess a very big round of applauses coz she is real! That's tough, to ruin your name and let the other people see your weaknesses. It's really a brave move. Jessica is a queen! I love her more now despite those negative things we're gonna learn about her through her memoir.

I was skeptical going in to this. I assumed she'd be superficial. I was pleasantly surprised at her candor. I don't relate to her unique struggles but her struggles with addiction, when she said she was losing herself, I get that. She had the strength and support to get sober from alcohol. She made that choice. She pulled herself out of that wasteland. Addiction and lonliness has no prejudice. Privileged? Poverty stricken? She's inspiring. Thank you Jessica ❤️

I think the reason she's "slurring", is due to over-botoxing. I don't think she's inebriated here. If you look closely, her upper lip area and cheeks, forehead - the whole upper part of her face basically doesn't even move. 😢 It's sad really.
Her eyes are glassy and the way she talks has nothing to do with the way she moves her mouth. I worry for her. Even if some of the comments are right about her possibly being on anxiety or depression meds most people don't realize it's only supposed to be taken for a very short time frame and not long term. Hard to know that since so many dctr's over prescribe that. One day that will be all over the news like opiates have been.

@@needmorezen365 You couldn't be more wrong about medication for depression. Anti-depressants are rarely prescribed for short-term use given the severity of illnesses they are prescribed for and the method of titration to begin, increase and decrease dosage.
@@GEELONGCATSGURL I know they are rarely prescribed short term and that is my point. I've been in the medical field for over 20 years and I've battled depression and suicidal thoughts for over 40 years. Those meds are NOT supposed to be long term and they create more side effects which then leads to other meds prescribed. Not all people but MOST should not be taking those meds for long term. They were never intended for long term use but MOST doctors, psychiatrists and psychologists won't tell you that. Again, one day in the future this will be headline news just like opiates were. This is one of many ways our wonderful healthcare system makes money. They keep us sick, over medicated.

Anyone who has drank as heavily as she did for as long as she did, even when you’re sober, you’re never really “normal” again. Especially when it takes place at a young age. It changes your brain. This is what alcoholism, which is a disease, looks like. I commend her for putting herself out there and sharing her story. I just hope she stays on the up and up.

I really like Jessica simpson. I always have from when I was watching newlyweds way back when but I agree with the ppl saying she isnt sober. She sounds like she did when she was on the ellen show. If it isnt alcohol it is xanax. I really feel for her cuz ppl can be cruel. Especially when your living in the eyes of the public. I wish her the best and I hope she is in a happy place. A smile is easy to put on in front of cameras. It's when the cameras are turned off that makes it's hard to deal.

He’s very much a romantic who wants a wife and a marriage, but since he’s dated some really famous women and it didn’t work out, all the trashy tabloids labeled him a womanizer and it has destroyed his dating life and reputation. A tabloid made up a bunch of stuff last year and said he had slept with over 500 women, and he addressed it saying the actual number is 6. He’s only slept with 6 women in his life and they’ve all been real relationships. But after what the media has done, he pretty much doesn’t date at all...

I’ve never really been a fan of her music but her show line is awesome. She comes off genuine and sweet. I could never understand why folks were so cruel to her. Regarding the way she speaks I think that’s her nerves. It’s seems like her jaws lock as she tries to speak. I use to have that problem. I hope she’s living her best life now... healthy and happy.
