Synopsis:
An accident caused Wen Lan to lose her memory, and she ended up marrying Mu Bai under her family's introduction. However, their relationship became distant and filled with grievances after marriage. But when an unexpected event occurred, Wen Lan regained her lost memories and made the decisive choice to divorce Mu Bai, pursuing her own path in scientific research. I find it funny that he didn't like her for the three years that he was married to her because she acted like a weak doormat, (but she was tricked by her evil scumbag family into marrying him because she lost her memory) but as soon as she regains her memory and goes back to her old confident self suddenly he finds her attractive.....

I’m sure she forgives him in the end, these cdramas have the same plot where no matter how bad fl is treated it’s okay and the ml apologized and makes her life difficult, fl after being humiliated / mentally and physically abused / cheated on always forgives lol

In China is it legally possible to have a divorce without the agreement of both parties? I keep seeing dramas where one spouse just hands them a divorce paper and they act like that’s it… so strange.
I think, and someone correct me if wrong, but both don’t have to agree but if one doesn’t then there is a legal process with lawyers, court, etc. butttt not sure about handing the papers to spouse b/c in US that’s worth as much as a kid writing the papers in crayon lol like it has to be signed together witnessed w/lawyer/notary or the nasty ones can be court served if spouse not willing to do it.

Yea with my cdrama knowledge 🤣from watching too many shows - (i will also include what happens in the uk) two ways to get divorced. 1) by registration. Its the "same building" they get the red passport in most cdramas. So you both sign papers and file them at the registry. ( similar to the UK but you file with the court -decree nisi ) then after so many cooling days they appear in registry and get a final (in the UK you apply for Final order- decree absolute).
2)divorce by litigation - another process if one party refuses or the partner is violent, cheater, gambler etc. It goes to court. I suppose this is the one for when they refuse. (In Uk its bit different as you can only have a genuine legal reason to dispute the divorce ( not i still love my partner).)
I watched another cdrama and it was about divorce lawyers, i remember reading the comments that some men take it always to litigation. So the divorce lawyers find evidence it has to be very good. Women know that he will fight so either run away or just dont bother in most cases. DV episodes were hard to watch as one of the lawyers was also in a dv situ and didnt want to leave due to the stigma
