Been watching Preece here in the Northeast for many years. I can promise you that the dude can drive. Even early this season he would work himself into the top ten just to have it taken from him by bad pit stops and dumb changes to the car. Plus, he is a throwback to how drivers used to get to Cup and for that reason alone he should get another shot. Preece always does what he can with the given equipment to get the best possible result. Sometimes he does get himself in situations on track that could destroy the equipment but he has always tried. He also tries to keep the equipment in one piece too. These are my observations of his driving style and how he takes care of his equipment. Which means (in my eyes) he's a good-great option for an expansion team. But not always for a startup team.

Harvick believes in him enough to put A LOT of his own money up to support him. I do believe Preece is capable of wins, and good finishes in a top quality cup car, with a good crew chief, something he has never had yet. A reason I can't see RFK Racing going after Preece is because generally you don't throw $30 million dollars at a charter and get someone who hasn't produced very much in the cup series in that car. He may be good in really bad equipment, but so is everyone else at SHR and they've shown a lot more. The Baker Mayfield analogy is close; however, the Bucs offered him a very small deal 1 year prove it deal. Then they broke the bank for him after he won the job (over their in house talent) and he had his best season ever.

There’s been the rumors with Justin Haley connected to Spire- but maybe the RFK and Kroger thing only just happened. I think if RFK came up to Haley and said they want him, as long as he hasn’t signed anywhere else yet, he’ll probably go to RFK.

    1. If you're not getting WOO sprints and WOO late model race news on YT I think you're missing out on a lot of great racing content, he'll even LBTV Low Budget TV on YT.....lots of local tracks from dirt to asphalt are covered weekly on their channels. The up and comers are there.
    2. I got to watch Bloomquist race many years ago around the late 90s early 2000s somewhere in Nebraska. I knew who he was somehow I think from whatever TV station featured those races back then, but it's sad to say I'll never get to see him race in person again nor take my son to see him. He was a legend back then and will forever be as such.

I don’t know that RFK needs the veteran driver. Look at young Ford driver.

I mean if Josh Berry can get a ride after this year with an average finish of 21.1 and a league leading 6 DNFs, then I don’t see why Preece can’t either. Personally, I don’t think either are Cup Series level drivers.

Preece is prolly the best driver for the $. You won’t break the bank and get a pretty talented driver with no baggage.

I'd go after Meyer, Eckes, or some young driver if RFK. Brad is at the tail end. Buescher is in his prime. A young driver makes sense to me.
