Where is Pluto? Maybe it had not been discovered when Holst composed the Planets Suite. Anyway I think it may have been demoted to another type of celestial object. Music is first class. Out of this world sort of speak.
1. If pluto was included that would've broken the nice balance of the compositions in 'the planets' 2. Pluto is a dwarf planet, not a planet according to modern astronomy.
but you nead an expert to tell you whay gustaf holst added this part in to jupiter. i always liked jupiterr the moste but don't know whay he added this part, im sure some brits know
Clearly every film soundtrack composer ever born should be paying royalties to Holst's estate...
Problem is, he has no estate. He had one daughter, and she didn't marry or have kids.
Holst and Dvorak
Especially John Williams who ripped off Gustav big time.
Every time it starts with Mars. I love it.
I wish you guys would put the timestamps on the tracklists, otherwise they're kind of useless. But thank you for sharing such gorgeous music!!
Use Shazam on your phone & it will give you the song
The Trials & Tribulations of Midlife Serial Dating
The TIME of the song not the name, you imbecile!
Absolutely pure genius!
A fantastic classic composer, plundered by shoddy soundtrack composers!!!
50 secs always gives me goosebumps

Surely John "fucking" Williams have its influence, Majestic!
John Williams just used a copy machine of Holst’s music and made millions.
The first piece reminds me "Predator" and "Gladiator" soundtracks
Great rendition of Saturn.
Exactly!

Raymond Dooley YES PLUTO WASENT DISCOVERED IN THE 1910s
It was discovered 2 decades later in 1930
Pluto is not a planet after all...

fuckin' star wars over here
John Williams was heavily inspired by Holst in his work (for Star Wars at the very least, as well as E.T. I believe)
Look up a composer called Korngold - you'll find the inspiration for the Star Wars theme there
1874-1934
who can tell me the name of the song from 22:37''-24:23'' or the movie's soundtrack? thanks
Jupiter
It is Jupiter, like Mr Awesome has said but the part that you timed is a british petriotic song called "i vow to thee my country"
but you nead an expert to tell you whay gustaf holst added this part in to jupiter. i always liked jupiterr the moste but don't know whay he added this part, im sure some brits know
