Last month our worship team resurrected this old familiar song to our congregation. It immediately brought up a memory I had when I attended a PK Conference in DC many years ago. On that day when we were singing this song, I couldn't help but fall on my knees and bow down to the Almighty God, bawling like a baby. It was such an emotional moment for me that i could not sing or speak.
Hatfield Christian Church South Africa... 1996 Catch The Fire Conference this Man Of God introduced me to true Worship... May God keep you for us Sir...
Late 90's, RCA dome in Indianapolis, where the very hinge my life turned. I'll never forget or get over what The Lord did for me there at that PK meeting. I had never witnessed anything like it or felt anything like it.
I love this version. As Joe Garlington recalls the early PK events, and how powerfully God used this song, we might be thinking, 'get on with it already!', and he does. Then, swept up in worship, he loses it. It was at this moment that the younger brother is there to carry the song forward. What an image of discipleship, and what Promise Keepers wanted, what Paul in Philippians 3:7-14 wanted. I couldn't hold it together either. So great is this gift of knowing Jesus, and passing it on. May it ever/always captivate me.
As a child of the 70s in the Pittsburgh area, I taken to church meetings all over the area and the then _Reverend_ Joseph Garlington, a young man in his 30s, was preaching and singing then. I would never forget his strong voice and the beautiful, anointed songs he sang to the Lord. My mother bought me a cassette tape of his album one Christmas about 25 years ago with me in my 30s. How I cried and cried. It took me back. To hear him still singing and still singing strong and anointed after all these years ...for my entire life.. the tears
Faith Promise Conference 1996 Hatfield Christian Church, South Africa.... Bishop introduced me to true worship and the simplicity of God's word... And I had the honour of meeting him personally in 2013 While Visiting a church in Witbank SA.... May God keep him for us...
Am touched afresh by the power of the Holy Spirit of the words of life in this affirmation song . I love you Lord,❤ You're the fullness of the void in man. Not food, drunkenness, sex, mansions money, beauty etc. All these passes away but you remain the same. To know you more Jesus is the greatest thing indeed 🙌 . God bless you Bishop 🙏
I absolutely don't have any words I was at those conferences and as I watch from that time. And the things I was going through and the things that Christ brought me through and is bringing me through today and our nation where it's at right now I was on my face weeping with my 12-year-old son tonight as it played my worship and it took me back to that time with all those men thousands upon thousands of men worshiping our God together all different walks of life all different hues and we worshiped our God together. I know God heard our prayers back then and he hears them . I cherish those times as I cherish the time right now.
At first I did not understand when I was not watching the screen as listening. But when Bishop Joseph Garlington's voice drops out because he is unable to sing, overcome with God's presence and with feeling, that means more to me than anything else in this moving worship experience.
I remember the very first Promise keepers I went to and how it really administered to me and my life. Praise God for the Promise Keepers and I hope to attend another one in the near future. God bless the whole staff and all men.
Dear Brother Garlington thank you so much for doing this video reminder of that precious time. I’ve been able to share this today with at least 9 other fellow pastors/ ministers because I know that after they get to the end and dry their tears they will be like me a 79yr old grandma that shouts out to the Lord, “DO IT AGAIN LORD JESUS” ! Pour out your precious Holy Spirit upon the hungry men in this whole world and may we once again see an awakening like this generation has never had. For the sake of our youth dear Lord, DO IT AGAIN !
I love this song. Thank you Brother Bishop.. I hope for a video where I can hear your full voice in this song. My strength is gone and my tears don't stop falling when I listen to it.
Who are the musicians? They are as deep and spiritual as everyone else involved in this. It is so moving to listen to singers and musicians who have touched God and know what they are singing about
Its something to see that many men worshipping the Only One God! The Almighty 😩💔🎵🎶😓🦶🙏🙌👦🛐
Not many things in the world are more beautiful than men crying in worship to Jesus. Powerful

Real man still cries in the presence of the Almighty God.

I miss & long for the intimate worship songs of the 90's. Only desire to KNOW YOU Lord for real.
There is nothing like pure worship music I LOVE YOU LORD.

This has to be one of my best worship song ever. Grateful I discovered it last year. Much love from kenya.
I was at the Atlanta pastor’s conference when Pastor Joe taught us this song. I always have the exact reaction the Pastor Joe mentioned in the intro.
Hey! I was there too! Moving moments.
I was at the pastors and ministers conference also in February 1996 and I am so grateful for the Lord's mercy and grace getting me there.
What a blessing. I remember singing this while he was leading worship in the Astrodome many years ago. It is still a moving and powerful worship song.
Knowing Jesus Christ is all I need ❤
