    Heck ya PosTart! I hit my personal best of 14k and ch. two weekends ago at the Texas Shootout. Same flight was also my first Mach flight and first 75mm motor build. Drago 4xl on a L1115

    Im pretty sure Any altitude above 30K MSL requires GPS data tracker packet downloaded for the recorded data as the recorded Altitude for any TRA records.

      @RocketVlogs even in general, most flights over that 30k msl level most flyers utilize the same GPS data as the preferred data.

      I checked the rules. No GPS data required.

      @ericbeavers4769 what rules did you check? Tripoli Rocketrty Contest rules require any flight over 30k ft MSL requires an approved GPS unit for altitude verification. The GPS unit must be on their list. Plus for it to be an altitude attempt you have to declare it as an attempt before the flight. Requiring specific witness of Prefect or TAP. The application for altitude attempt even shows the requirement for GPS for a flight over 30k msl
