Wow Ben on TRF. I remember we used to troll the ever living hell out of him.
Tip of the nose cone has the least circumference/volume may have something to do with it.
I have the lowest altitude record 😂
Wow, that thing was flying.
Im pretty sure Any altitude above 30K MSL requires GPS data tracker packet downloaded for the recorded data as the recorded Altitude for any TRA records.
There was no record attempt here.
@RocketVlogs even in general, most flights over that 30k msl level most flyers utilize the same GPS data as the preferred data.
40,183 AGL from GPS data in the cheater Colorado air
I checked the rules. No GPS data required.
@ericbeavers4769 what rules did you check? Tripoli Rocketrty Contest rules require any flight over 30k ft MSL requires an approved GPS unit for altitude verification. The GPS unit must be on their list. Plus for it to be an altitude attempt you have to declare it as an attempt before the flight. Requiring specific witness of Prefect or TAP. The application for altitude attempt even shows the requirement for GPS for a flight over 30k msl
