Papyrus actually die in 1 hit cuz, he was not prepared to fight, because easily if he use a bit of his Power he killed you and survived 19 turns i guess

This papyrus still holds a special place in my heart not only because the song is a banger and the laugh is iconic, but because there is a glitch in normal undertale where after you kill papyrus, go left in the first undyne encounter, and he will be standing there, with the same shadowed out face like this one.
