Just gorgeous…. Found you this morning and I think I must give this tag a try. Indeed, letting things go is good. Hope you are well. Best regards to you from South Africa 💫
I am excited to get started!! I don’t have tags but I am using a deck of cards that I gessoed and added handmade tabs to the top of each card. The gesso can easily be written on. Just thought someone may find this a helpful suggestion. I will post mine to Instagram when I am finished. ❤️ Happy New Year Anne. Thank you so much for hosting and inspiring this challenge . 💞🤗🇨🇦💕
Great idea. Im planning to have a "use it up year" so was wondering what I could use instead of tags and I know I have some hoarded cards somewhere....
Excellent idea to use a gessoed deck of cards. I ‘m waiting on Kraft tags I already ordered. But I’ll add gesso to a deck of cards for a future project. ❤️❄️🧵🪡🗓❤️
I’m using cards, too! I’ve sanded the front and back. (What a pain!) I’m thinking i may add some scrap papers to one or both sides. Although, i like your gesso idea, too!
Hi Anne, Was watching Rachel at Roxy Creations and saw this Tag challenge and SLOW STITCHING.........and wondered WHAT IN THE WORLD IS SLOW STITCHING🤣🤣🤣...... OH MY GOODNESS ANNE, I'm sooo glad that I watched it because at the end of Rachel's video I clicked to your video link to see more and I WAS TOTALLY GOBSMACKED that there was such a thing called that...... AND YEP LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER CRAFT FOR ME TO TRY.....AND BE ADDICTED TOO🤣🤣🤣....... WHEN I WAS A KID I USED TO LUVE HAND SEWING ....... So thank you 🙏🙏🙏😍😍😍sooo much Anne and yes I have subscribed to your channel too.....just to see what else you teach us.....STAY SAFE..... Hugs🤗🤗🤗 and Kisses🥰🥰🥰 from Rhonda Laine Aussie Land xoxox
I am just now getting started with your #52tags project--better late than never! I'm new to slow stitching, enjoying it immensely, and am so appreciative that you have kept your videos online. This first tag was a lot of fun and I'm sure I'll enjoy the next 51 just as much. Love your videos. Thank you so much.
This is amazing . Sewing was my favourite lesson in primary school . I still have several pieces that I made , I’m 71 now . This has really piqued my interest , and I have enough fabrics left over from quilting .
Just watched Sonya Stepto make her white tag, this looks like fun! I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets raided for supplies by family, lol. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to more fun in '21! Take care!
Hi Anne! I’ve found you through Rachel at Roxy Creations. So happy to be a new subbie. I’ve got 10 million tags, so I’m hoping to use some up while I practice my stitching a bit. Thanks so much for offering this challenge. I’m excited to join in! ❤️
Fab! 2022 - I have only just been introduced to Anne through Embroiders’ Guild. Will have fun catching up and joining in with tags, books and flags! Thank You for inspiring me to look differently at my stash! x
Looking forward to this so much. I did the bobbin but not the other projects. I love that this is a small “not for anything” project, which makes it fun and no pressure. I want to get back to stitching and this is perfect. I made square tags and put them on a ring till they get too chunky. Then it may be jute. Thank you for doing this!
I’ve just arrived here from ChrissieCrosser, so I’m very late to the party! I’m definitely in - it won’t take too much time away from my journal making (once I catch up 😏) I’d just like to say how lovely it is to see a fellow lefty sewing and embroidering 😁
Hi Anne, I'm a new subby . I came across you after seeing Ivy Ling's entry for your challenge. I'm going to try joining in. Love the tag that you've made. I love hand stitching, in fact when I was younger I used to work for Burbbery's & used to do the hand stitching on the back of the collars on the famous raincoats. Thanks for hosting this challenge. Crafty hugs Carol x
I absolutely LOVE your idea of using the vintage handkerchief! After my mom passed, I found all her hankies that my grandma made for her. Lots of tatting around the edges. This is a beautiful idea on how to enjoy them.
It's so good to be starting a new little project, something to soothe my creative itch without being a huge commitment! Thanks for the inspiration Anne
Thanks for this challenge! It is small enough not to be intimidating but large enough to feature some favorite bits of fabric and trim. I look forward to seeing all the lovely tags.
Hi Anne, new subbie here (I came over from Rachel at Roxy Creations' channel) First off, I recognise your accent! You're a Northerner, like myself! (I'm in Lancashire) I love the idea of this challenge and I will be playing along too as I want to start incorporating stitched pieces into my journals and I think this will be a great starting point for me 😊
Hello Anne!!! I’m Beverly and am brand new to this challenge. Such a wonderful thing to offer for us. I do so many types of crafts....knitting socks is my favorite but I’ve also adored hand stitching too. What I love most about your challenge is the relaxed attitude about it all. I have a surgery coming up this month and it will be so wonderful to just sit and stitch with everyone. Already following you on IG and the hashtag too. I’m amazed by all of the talented projects I’ve seen!!! Bless you!
This chalenge will be perfect to combine with my 12x12 pad challenge! Looking forward to this. My tags will be close. I'm thinkg 2"x4" giving me 18 from a 12x12 sheet. I'll have to watch the rest of this on my iPad later to get the rest of the details. thanks for putting this together. Creative Blessings!
I'm using Project Life journal cards that have been in a box forever. Backing them with coffee/tea stained paper. Love this project because it doesn't require any new supplies, I can use things I already have!! Thank you Anne.
Finished my tag! Yay...so happy to be doing this❤️. Don’t really do social media much so won’t be sharing but just wanted you to know how much I’m enjoying this. Looking forward to next one!
Just signed up for notifications and cutting my tags today, great to use scraps I have and I might try themed co,ours for each month .... or just see what I fancy each week lol. Thank you 🙏
I saw a red bellied woodpecker on my feeder today, so i did a collage of ecodyed paper, picture of the bird, lace scraps, next will add slow stitch. So excited about this project!
I'm so excited to start this challenge! I have all my items picked out and ready to start auditioning & sewing!!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea!
Such a lovely idea, I’m a new subscriber and although I’ve done embroidery for years, the slow stitching concept is new to me and I love how these little projects just come together. I’m going to give this a try. Thanks.
I thought I could gift the tags or use them in my journal. Just caught on in February so I’m a bit behind. Happy to enjoy the creative process from Australia with a very minimal supply. Thanks for the inspiration Anne🌸
I’m just watching this and loving it! I need something to keep my mind and hands busy. I think i’ll try to play along. I don’t do instagram or facebook but i’ll tune in and see how you’re doing and get inspiration. Thank you for this lovely project!
Just found out about this challenge. We are now coming into the last month of 2021, but it’s never too late to start a creative process in my book! Thank you for the inspiration.🙏🏻
Just found this link as I've been following on Facebk n just love the slow stitching. I've completed wks 1-6 n posted to your #52tagshannemade. Don't know if I've posted correctly (no likes or dislikes) but this is fun to do!!! Thanks so much for the inspiration.
oh fun. i am totally going to do this. i have seen your spools and books from last year and thought them so beautiful but rather intimidating, but I can handle a tag. Reminds of why i love doing Artist Trading Cards--because they're so small they're never really that intimidating. Anyway, thank you for doing this project. I'm going to raid my stash now!!
Although this one seems quite obvious, I think writing the focus for the tag would be a good idea. Whether it is using a color like this one, or perhaps a certain stitch, this would be helpful when looking back in them all later Looking forward to next week. I do love the idea of making a frame in the back.
Love this... Gayle A mentioned your challenge and I am going to join as well! I have lots of fabric bits, floss, and this and that. I think this challenge will be great fun! Stay crafty and healthy! Laura m
Hello Anne, new subbie here so I need to catch up. Wish I had found you at Christmas time. I may go back and try and make those things too! I am not a sewing person but I am going to give this a try. I am not a Facebook or Instagram person but I like to watch Facebook to learn things. Thanks so much.....cyndi m.
Happy new year Anne, I'm looking forward to this challenge, thank you for thinking this up. I'm new to the slow stitching but enjoying it very much. Xx

Thinking of using it to record flowers as they bloom in my garden during the year! in addition to special memories recording.
