This is great! Doug is underrated as a singer by many people. I love this performance.

The guitarist of this band (Dan Estrin) is also very underrated too, he created very beautiful and catchy riffs that are very memorable and in some way kind of unique, I think it's not exaggerated to say he is one of the best modern guitarists of the 2000's era
alongside other great modern guitarists of 2000's Rock bands such as *Billy Talent* (Ian D'Sa) and *Three Days Grace* (Adam Gontier & Barry Stock), not to forget *Greenday* (Billie Joe Armstrong), and of course *Linkin Park* (Brad Delson)
Also worth mentioning is *Avril Lavigne* as one of the best female guitarist as well

@@alternativerockemo6783 man, Brad is for sure one of the best guitarists of the 2000s... hybrid theory and meteora have fucking great riffs, for me it's insane how Brad can create "simple" guitar riffs that are so effective and catchy

@@alternativerockemo6783 the name that doesn't get mentioned enough is ben moody. he didn't reinvent the wheel or anything, but his musical instincts on evanescence's debut are splendid, compared to other virtuosos who can't write anything that doesn't just sound like noodling or showboating that nobody really wants to listen to
and then there's wes borland, but he gets enough recognition for his playing... and fred durst typically ruins the experience

Yes of course, there are indeed many good modern Guitarists who shaped and renewed the sound of modern rock music and deserve to be mentioned:
Beginning with the 90's Grunge scene: Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), Alice in chains, Sound Garden, and the British "counterpart" BritPop *Oasis*
All of these bands were an important part of the early "pre-2000's rock music" scene, they basically helped to "upgrade" the rock sound to a more fresh and more vibrant Level compared to the old 80's and everything before that era. It was a big change in the 90's
And then came the modern *Post-Grunge* and Alternative Rock era of the late 90's / 2000's and *Pop Punk* scene, which finally introduced the modern rock sound that we know today:
Nickleback, Breaking Benjamin, Crossfade, Three Days Grace (3dg), Theory of a Deadman, Hoobastank, Billy Talent, Alter Bridge,
Smile Empty Soul, Seether, Greenday, Sum41, Avril Lavigne, Midtown, Acceptance, Every Avenue, The Academy is, Year of the Rabbit, Celldweller, Mayday Parade, Her Bright Skies, Flyleaf...
Likewise the Metal scene also got new "upgrades" in the 90's / 2000's, with the introduction of *Nu-Metal* and Hardcore Metal *(Metalcore)* , Post-hardcore and Symphonic Metal, which completely renewed the sound of modern metal forver:
KoRn, Limp Bizkit, SlipKnot, Spineshank, Linken Park, Static-X, Disturbed, Trapt, Lacuna Coil....
      And a bunch more...
All of these mentioned bands had very creative and unique guitarists who made a big influence on shaping modern rock and metal music.
They all introduced new riffs in very different tunings which changed the sound of rock and metal completely (because a different tuning of the guitar and bass guitar can dramatically change the tone and sound of rock and metal)
Who do you think are some of the best modern guitarists today?
      (rock and metal)? 😊

i remember seeing this years and years ago when we were all much younger. the sweeping motion he does at 0:30 with his feet really caught my eye back then. to me, that made him the coolest dude ever. i came back to look at it and i completely missed it and had to search for it a few different times. i honestly don't i think would've noticed it now if i only saw this today. man, a young mind just notices different things from an adult. now i just notice the guitarist's finger technique and the fat compressed bass tone - and how much energy they had back then jumping around all over the stage
