I think the "age gap" is just because we are so used to seeing women with makeup and well-groomed. As a result, we typically see older women looking younger than they actually are. Men on the other hand we more commonly see dirty, and poorly groomed from working various dirty jobs.

Steve Erwin didn't die from the stingray's venom, which is potent, but not enough to instantly kill a full-grown man. He just got SUPER unlucky- the stinger stabbed him in the chest, PUNCTURED HIS HEART, and he died of internal bleeding before the venom even took effect.

Blowfish barbs, jellyfish tentacles, and snake fangs inject venom through the blood stream which causes the body to seize and cramp and hemorrhage. Poison frogs with poison skin, butterflies toxic innards, and flowers with toxic leaves operate based on your saliva and stomach, also causing your body to seize and hemorrhage through volatile bodily rejection. Also I don't believe they had antivenom on-site, and regardless once that barb hit his heart, lodged or not he would rapidly bleed to death. Your heart works autonomically, so blood flows regardless of what you do, and even more if you panic or go into shock. If he somehow didn't die from internal bleeding his heart would have likely seized from damage (heart attack) or he'd get brain damage from lack of vital blood flow for less than 20 seconds of oxygenated blood. People forget that things getting stuck into you that are more dangerous when removed only account for flesh wounds, like an arrow in the arm or a blade stuck in your abdomen; but not when it's piercing vital organs. Leaving it in might have worked if it hit an artery, but not the heart, in which ALL arteries are connected to.
BTW the women side on the show did way worse then the video is showing. The guys weren't perfect because of the leaders ego but he corrected it very quickly and it was smooth sailing from there while the women kind of got their act together in the last 2 week after being threatened to being removed from the island.

They were dehydrated and starved to the point that the medical team told them to get their shit together or else they'll be evacuated from the island. Why they were starving and dehydrated you may ask? Well they caught a pig that had ticks, butchered it and stored it's raw meat (Instead of cooking it all for long term storage) in one of the 2 water containers they had. The raw meat got spoiled very quickly so instead of throwing the meat and washing the container that they need to boil and purify water, they threw the whole thing away and left with no way to boil water. The funny part was the fact that the nurse who's also a survival expert told them to not throw the container away but she was mocked and ignored.
This is the shit we fantasize about. While watching this i kept looking over at my buddy and saying "this looks so fun". I bet if you asked any guy if they ever had a fantasy of being stranded and having to survive on their own most would say yeah. There’s something primal and cool about making it on your own. Especially on a tropical island, you get water figured out and you are good to go. Fishing, snakes, caimans, good food all around. Each team had a survival expert and the men put theirs as their leader immediately and the women ignored theirs. Some of the women got really sick because they had food in a container and the food started to rot and they used that container to drink water from and it got one or two of them really sick. They only put women on the show because when it was all men feminists complained about it and the show decided to take a certain lean and even gave the women’s handouts to try and get them to succeed. Each team got a week of training so should have been even if men’s hobbies weren’t survival related. The scale was when the medical team made on of their regular visits. Every reaction I see vtubers are confused by the net. They can collect garbage on the beach to use, like the bottles the women had. At first they picked on the dude fixing the net saying it would be a waste of time but it paid off. All the episodes of this season are out so if you don’t believe the cuts in the video you can watch the train wreck yourself 😅
The premise of the show was that 14 people (men in the 1st season, women in the 2nd) are dropped off on an island in the Pacific and have to survive for 6 weeks. Each team was given basic survival and medical training and included a survival expert, 2 medical professionals, and 2 camera operators. There were medical teams on standby in case someone needed to leave for medical reasons. At the end of the 6 weeks, Bear Grylls would show up and see how the teams were doing.
Men: immediately figure out what their strengths are and get to work, treating the whole scenario like a vacation with the bois. Women: sit around for a couple of hours, bickering, don't elect a leader because "I don't want to be told what to do," then **get lost three f'cking times going the same path,** ...then almost die multiple times.
This wasn't so much men vs women as it was men vs feminists. Take any group of women from a third world country and they would have easily made it work. These particular women were spoiled rotten so weren't prepared to take on the challenge of actually having to work hard. Even women from a few generations ago would have put these women to shame. I would love to see some old women comment on how these women were doing. Imagine naming the animals instead of eating them as everyone starves. My grandmother in her 70s would have done better than those women. I have no doubt that women could make it work and be valuable members of such a community. The problem is our culture spoiled most of those women to the point they never grew up. I feel bad for the few women in the group who did want to do well and were held back by the rest of the team.
What you are asking is the show put Women whose lives are from the Though Times parts of the world, versus these Joes who did the logical and rational things from the start. It wouldn't reflect a First world average Joe and Karen competition tbh.

The man were not even that young tbh, some of them were even late 40s. Both Teams did bad at times, but for sure the women did worse overall, even with a lot of help from the Production. Men´s Team did not had that much better near the end of the show, but they for sure did better

From what I've been told elsewhere (never bothered to confirm it), apparently the women won the contest. It was "who will have the best nutrition afterwards" and because the women were being given handouts by the camera crew they did end with better nutrition.
5:50 stingrays get a bad rep for what one of them did to steve irwin. The truth is it was the most unlikely of circumstances. He was stung directly in the heart which is the worst place to be stung like that and stingrays prefer to run away rather than sting, he was too far away from medical help to apply any antivenom which does exist, and to top it off he was notorious for disobeying medical professionals and refused to carry any kind of antivenom. We all mourn the passing of Steve Irwin but if he could talk to us from beyond the grave he would tell us not to blame the stingray.

King is biased. Men had their struggles, mostly among themselves but were able to make peace. Strangely women were even worse. They were secretly given a pair of piglets. Which mom that they have seen some time ago, just disappeared. And they never ate them. Also they based at a beach. They just lost on the way back
For context the women did eventually kill and eat the piglets (well only one of them did the killing, the others still couldn’t do it even though they were starving), I think it was the survival expert who did the killing. The show was without a doubt rigged in the favor of the women’s team and even then it was self-evident that their team and survival capabilities were never on par with the men’s team. The fact that they were given handouts, had “friendly/calm” piglets show up and receiving free fish by a “random stranger”. There were plenty of times when the women should’ve gotten taken an L but didn’t because “reasons”.

8:12 I watched the show and wholeheartedly disagree. This clip doesn't even show some of the stupidest things the women did nor the help the producers provided. The women cut their water production in HALF because they didn't want to wash one of the water cans after it got dirty and they didn't include the part where the producers practically handed them 2 pigs and they tried to keep them as fuggin pets... The person that made the video actually took it easy on the women. Granted the men's team wasn't all celebrating and partying but nobody was starving nor dying of dehydration. If the crew didn't come in and demand action multiple times the women would have never made it. The men elected a leader and the women were led by committee with the crew forcing them like a dictator in the background. The show wasn't actually that fun to watch cause it was such a pity party. This cut is probably 10x more fun than the show was.
They had at least one camera crew and one medical person on each team, they took part in the challenge as well if I remember correctly. There was some drama on the men's side, mostly butting heads/an asshole on the team, the men would either settle it or stay angry but still work together. They scrapped the men v. women thing in later seasons. The rich v. poor season was pretty cool actually.
regarding your questions at the start, the teams were given the cameras to film themselves and were taught how to, there are safety and production crews but they are not station on the islands but are on standby just offshore in case of emergencies... also, both teams were given basic survival training and knowledge prior to this show...
Day one is always shelter and fire. Water and food can always come on day 2. But if you can get fire water and shelter on day 1 you are set up pretty good.
1. Most stingrays usually aren't that dangerous, Steve got impaled right in the heart. 2. If you're being allowed to pet the stingrays, they probably had their stingers clipped for safety just in case.

No camera crew. They had to film themselves. There was a rescue team waiting at a nearby island. They had a radio or a satellite phone or something. The net washed up broken in some beach trash and one guy fixed it. The guys also fought over that one guy doing nothing but fixing the net for several days. However they all forgave him and apologized when he started catching tons of fish. Oh and the guys also had a x carpenter who helped them all make beds to keep the bugs away. He was a grumpy bastard though.
The biggest difference was the men worked all day and didnt sit around complaining when they were upset they still worked and they had their fair share of arguments and disagreements. Also the women had at least 2 who knew what they doing but no one would listen to them

Basically both the men’s and women’s team had some infighting about leadership but the guys solved it faster. Also the women kept getting lost. Oh and the guys were very into the hunting and fishing. The RUclipsr who made this cut is biased but the men definitely won in the original video.
I believe that there was no crew. Both teams had a survival specialist(male and female), and a medic. And both teams get a camera or two. But yes, both teams were monitored by their medics that did probably daily raports trough radio. Baltiri coping hard. I saw full deconstruction of full episodes. And this video dont bias anything. Full context show women in much much worse light that this. Later team were merged together and women imidiently discard their pride and start to behave like cheap whores to get mens attention and food. I was Scout many years in mixed gender troop. We had 2 male teams (older and younger) and 2 female teams (older and younger). And always at camps we had at least once, a 2-3 day field game in complete wilderness. We didn't have to look for food in the forest (although we always did, wild fruit, nectar from nettle flowers, sorrel, or forest clover), before the game we shopped for a limited amount of money so that we had something for meals for the entire trip.(but we had to cook it by themselves of course) Once there we had to find a place for a base. Build a hut for the entire team. Sometimes we had to do additional typical survival tasks (like cooking a meal from what we found in the forest). Or build a catcher and a water filter. At night there was a game of stealing banners from other teams. But before the night games ALWAYS the leaders of the younger and older boys first gave instructions to their subordinates what to do. And then they went to look for the girls to check if they were doing well. Whether they needed help. And I don't want to sound like a chauvinist. But yes. Girls need help. 9 out of 10 cases. The only women who could do it by themselves in these conditions were Scouters. With 15 or more years of experience. And I still remember my Scouter (Maja) explaining to me how to light a fire using pine branches as kindling. But she herself could never do it and was surprised that I had no problem with it.

i watched the show, its actualy more pethetic than this makes it look, the women were repeatadly handed food and resorces by the crew, peopel in boats came and gave them fish rather than them getting the damn fish themselves, the ladies "found" a strangly unresponcinve mother wild pig which continued sleeping while they stood around poking it with stick and deciding on a name or wether to eat it... then they took the two "wild" piglets that walked right up to them and gave them names... one time the ladies used up all theyre remaining clean drinking water... washing theyre hair... oh, eventualy they did end up eating the piglets too once theyd started starving to death, then they ruined one of theyre two cantines by stuffing it with rotting meat so they abandoned it for days till the show runners keept warnning them about theyre dangerous dehidration, eventualy after enouhg discualifications from women nearly diying they gave up. the women did awful and it is largely becuase of the disorganization the ai voice points out, you can hate it all you want... facts are facts, only diluded feminists think men arint needed, but thankfuly its a self currecting problem, the moment something goes wrong.
There is another version of this that happened, survival teams of men vs women. The men established a camp, established cover, even made beds out of reeds and leaves, had a filtration system made out of bottles and various types of rocks, hunting schedules, everything needed to survive. The women's team followed the beach, the long way, and eventually found the men's camp. They set up a few hundred feet away and were constantly leeching off the men's team for supplies, food, drinks, tools, whatever. And then one of the guys rightly pointed out that they werent getting anything in return for all of the stuff they were providing and told them to either find a way to pay for it all, or to screw off. The women's team also routinely begged fishing boats for food when they came by and always got a few massive catfish from them. They always ended uo letting one rot instead of correctly storing it, but still.
TBF it's to do with how the show is consisted, filmed and edited. I've seen a fair share of people breaking down at extreme situations, and there is no "men" or "women" when that happens. If you've gathered ppl that don't have any outdoorsmanship or base knowledge of survival stuff, then they're gonna be in trouble. Men and women alike.
The camera and medical people were a part of the group, the people responsible for their life's were on a boat, this show was in Australia so it was more real than any American survival show, this vid tho was cut. The only drama the men had was stretch for 3 episodes, and it was over wither or not a fishnet was worth it, and the women reserved handouts. 11:00 the net was broken and found in trash (which was as a supply drop). 12:53 these men sleep on the ground, women sleep in one shelter together. 14:22 they had to because they wouldn't eat otherwise. 15:25 keep in mind the men were mostly office worker in old people like the women. 16:29 No tech wasn't allowed and no food, only tools and hunting. 17:42 this vid doesn't show how bad things were in full. 18:07 every men doubted this guy. 18:50 this happened because the women had pig meat that went rotten in side their watering can. 20:28 that was a real baby shark dad died after being taken out of the ocean for too long, the crew production didn't check the ocean. 22:29 the men were literally debating whether or not they should beat their meat because they had nothing else to do. 23:15 the leader of the men wasn't a chad, but a skinny doctor who was the most responsible in the group. 23:22 I don't know why you were recommended this video in particular, AI and cuts doesn't make this video of the best to watch. 24:51 the majority of men weren't young they were quite old, many of them had little muscle it had more fat or wrinkles, your should watch the show for a better look at them. 25:14 again this is the worst vid because of the cuts, don't know why you were recommended this one, when they were better ones. 26:36 really hate the AI and it's channel.

I have always held the belief for this video that they did edit it in a great way to make the women look a tad worse than they actually were on the show and the Ai guy is definitely a bit (read *a lot*) biased against the women as it seems to pretend that there aren't capable women out there. HOWEVER. in this specific instance I believe every contestant, male or female, were volunteers from an office setting. They're all roughly around the same age group and were all provided with a minimal amount of survival training prior to being left on the island. Each group also had experts attached to them for advice and just in case of an emergency. The men got straight to work, elected a group leader, and got a massive headstart compared to the women who absolutely refused to have any one leader of the group. They didn't do quite as terribly as the video made it out to be, but they definitely didn't do as well as the men. The women had multiple supply drops given to them, they were even given some pigs to raise and slaughter for food but they decided against that and just set them free on the island because they didn't want to kill them. This experiment seems biased towards the men, but they all had the exact same chances to succeed and fail, it all came down to how well they could swallow their individual prides and egos and work as one cohesive unit to survive. ----- I feel like I need to, once again, stress the fact that I am in no way saying there are no capable women or that women wouldn't be able to survive in a situation like this; I am merely saying in this particular instance, the women were their own downfall for refusing to cooperate on a base level.
This video was extremely edited to make the disparity more extreme than it actually was. There were shortcomings on both ends and while the women were generally worse at the start the video editing was disingenuous to the actual events and timeline.
Actually they could have edited it to make the women look worse like how they were given two pigs to kill, cook and eat but the adopted them instead and gave them names. The women were far worse. Or are you saying the women eventually come together as a team and worked together and not said dumb stuff like “I don’t want to be told what to do”.
Actually actually, They really did eventually set their stupidity aside and get a good survival system going. If you haven't actually watched the show, it's probably not smart to judge it by a video edited to promote braindead "man better than woman at survival" ideology.
There is definitely bias, but the edits actually make the female team look better as hard as it is to believe. They just did that bad. Both teams had a survival expert and about a week of survival training. There were also “handouts” on both sides, but for the most part the teams would still have to work for them (fixing the net, actually killing the caiman). The female team tho did get more handouts not shown in the video like 2 piglets that they refused to eat because they were cute even though they were literally starving. The handouts I’m fine with because it’s a reality tv show and they do add variety to it, but the female team performed significantly worse despite the male team having their issues (like w/fixing the net), having more handouts that were also easier to use, as well as going into the competition with a ton of arrogance. Regardless of whether the video is biased or not, the events are documented in the actual show and they just performed so awfully that it couldn’t make them look good no matter how they tried to skew it.
The video isn't really honest because the guys had lots of issues too, one of the guys got hur in such ha way he had to be moved away fro the island, buncha scorpion bites, what twouldn't bte were the fiishes until hey got lucky one day but even those wouldn't last forever. The croc was he onlyy decent meal they had and dhe meat got bad he next day...

I think the "age gap" is just because we are so used to seeing women with makeup and well-groomed. As a result, we typically see older women looking younger than they actually are. Men on the other hand we more commonly see dirty, and poorly groomed from working various dirty jobs.

Also I don't believe they had antivenom on-site, and regardless once that barb hit his heart, lodged or not he would rapidly bleed to death. Your heart works autonomically, so blood flows regardless of what you do, and even more if you panic or go into shock. If he somehow didn't die from internal bleeding his heart would have likely seized from damage (heart attack) or he'd get brain damage from lack of vital blood flow for less than 20 seconds of oxygenated blood.
People forget that things getting stuck into you that are more dangerous when removed only account for flesh wounds, like an arrow in the arm or a blade stuck in your abdomen; but not when it's piercing vital organs. Leaving it in might have worked if it hit an artery, but not the heart, in which ALL arteries are connected to.
BTW the women side on the show did way worse then the video is showing. The guys weren't perfect because of the leaders ego but he corrected it very quickly and it was smooth sailing from there while the women kind of got their act together in the last 2 week after being threatened to being removed from the island.

They were dehydrated and starved to the point that the medical team told them to get their shit together or else they'll be evacuated from the island.
Why they were starving and dehydrated you may ask? Well they caught a pig that had ticks, butchered it and stored it's raw meat (Instead of cooking it all for long term storage) in one of the 2 water containers they had. The raw meat got spoiled very quickly so instead of throwing the meat and washing the container that they need to boil and purify water, they threw the whole thing away and left with no way to boil water. The funny part was the fact that the nurse who's also a survival expert told them to not throw the container away but she was mocked and ignored.

This is the shit we fantasize about. While watching this i kept looking over at my buddy and saying "this looks so fun". I bet if you asked any guy if they ever had a fantasy of being stranded and having to survive on their own most would say yeah. There’s something primal and cool about making it on your own. Especially on a tropical island, you get water figured out and you are good to go. Fishing, snakes, caimans, good food all around. Each team had a survival expert and the men put theirs as their leader immediately and the women ignored theirs. Some of the women got really sick because they had food in a container and the food started to rot and they used that container to drink water from and it got one or two of them really sick. They only put women on the show because when it was all men feminists complained about it and the show decided to take a certain lean and even gave the women’s handouts to try and get them to succeed. Each team got a week of training so should have been even if men’s hobbies weren’t survival related. The scale was when the medical team made on of their regular visits. Every reaction I see vtubers are confused by the net. They can collect garbage on the beach to use, like the bottles the women had. At first they picked on the dude fixing the net saying it would be a waste of time but it paid off. All the episodes of this season are out so if you don’t believe the cuts in the video you can watch the train wreck yourself 😅

I think that’s pretty much the rule for this show. If anyone gets seriously injured or ill, you’re immediately out of the challenge.
The premise of the show was that 14 people (men in the 1st season, women in the 2nd) are dropped off on an island in the Pacific and have to survive for 6 weeks. Each team was given basic survival and medical training and included a survival expert, 2 medical professionals, and 2 camera operators. There were medical teams on standby in case someone needed to leave for medical reasons. At the end of the 6 weeks, Bear Grylls would show up and see how the teams were doing.
Men: immediately figure out what their strengths are and get to work, treating the whole scenario like a vacation with the bois.
Women: sit around for a couple of hours, bickering, don't elect a leader because "I don't want to be told what to do," then **get lost three f'cking times going the same path,** ...then almost die multiple times.
This wasn't so much men vs women as it was men vs feminists. Take any group of women from a third world country and they would have easily made it work. These particular women were spoiled rotten so weren't prepared to take on the challenge of actually having to work hard.
Even women from a few generations ago would have put these women to shame. I would love to see some old women comment on how these women were doing. Imagine naming the animals instead of eating them as everyone starves. My grandmother in her 70s would have done better than those women.
I have no doubt that women could make it work and be valuable members of such a community. The problem is our culture spoiled most of those women to the point they never grew up. I feel bad for the few women in the group who did want to do well and were held back by the rest of the team.
What you are asking is the show put Women whose lives are from the Though Times parts of the world, versus these Joes who did the logical and rational things from the start. It wouldn't reflect a First world average Joe and Karen competition tbh.

The man were not even that young tbh, some of them were even late 40s. Both Teams did bad at times, but for sure the women did worse overall, even with a lot of help from the Production. Men´s Team did not had that much better near the end of the show, but they for sure did better

From what I've been told elsewhere (never bothered to confirm it), apparently the women won the contest. It was "who will have the best nutrition afterwards" and because the women were being given handouts by the camera crew they did end with better nutrition.

5:50 stingrays get a bad rep for what one of them did to steve irwin. The truth is it was the most unlikely of circumstances. He was stung directly in the heart which is the worst place to be stung like that and stingrays prefer to run away rather than sting, he was too far away from medical help to apply any antivenom which does exist, and to top it off he was notorious for disobeying medical professionals and refused to carry any kind of antivenom. We all mourn the passing of Steve Irwin but if he could talk to us from beyond the grave he would tell us not to blame the stingray.

I'm glad my father taught me how to make fire without lighter. teach me how to catch snakes, squirrels and other small prey. Taught me to make traps and tools from natural materials. Taught me how to find material/ food from different plants. Taught me how to sleep anywhere in the wild. Taught me how to purify water and substituting plants for medicine. I swear when i have nephews and nieces or children, I'll pass down this knowledge so our bloodline knows how to survive in the wild.
What boggles my mind is how any group could get lost more than twice on the same small island and not change strategy.

Both had hiccups, some men quit day one. But the women nearly all got medically tappped. The men caught 30+fish, 2 crocodiles, and a shark. The women struggled to get water.
They got two jary cans of water, two machetes, two knives, clothes, medical supplies, a walkie-talkie to call in medical emergencys, and a large ball of string. For both the men and women, and that's it.
King is biased. Men had their struggles, mostly among themselves but were able to make peace.
Strangely women were even worse. They were secretly given a pair of piglets. Which mom that they have seen some time ago, just disappeared. And they never ate them. Also they based at a beach. They just lost on the way back

For context the women did eventually kill and eat the piglets (well only one of them did the killing, the others still couldn’t do it even though they were starving), I think it was the survival expert who did the killing. The show was without a doubt rigged in the favor of the women’s team and even then it was self-evident that their team and survival capabilities were never on par with the men’s team. The fact that they were given handouts, had “friendly/calm” piglets show up and receiving free fish by a “random stranger”. There were plenty of times when the women should’ve gotten taken an L but didn’t because “reasons”.

8:12 I watched the show and wholeheartedly disagree. This clip doesn't even show some of the stupidest things the women did nor the help the producers provided. The women cut their water production in HALF because they didn't want to wash one of the water cans after it got dirty and they didn't include the part where the producers practically handed them 2 pigs and they tried to keep them as fuggin pets... The person that made the video actually took it easy on the women. Granted the men's team wasn't all celebrating and partying but nobody was starving nor dying of dehydration. If the crew didn't come in and demand action multiple times the women would have never made it. The men elected a leader and the women were led by committee with the crew forcing them like a dictator in the background. The show wasn't actually that fun to watch cause it was such a pity party. This cut is probably 10x more fun than the show was.

They had at least one camera crew and one medical person on each team, they took part in the challenge as well if I remember correctly. There was some drama on the men's side, mostly butting heads/an asshole on the team, the men would either settle it or stay angry but still work together. They scrapped the men v. women thing in later seasons. The rich v. poor season was pretty cool actually.
regarding your questions at the start, the teams were given the cameras to film themselves and were taught how to, there are safety and production crews but they are not station on the islands but are on standby just offshore in case of emergencies... also, both teams were given basic survival training and knowledge prior to this show...

No camera crew. They had to film themselves. There was a rescue team waiting at a nearby island. They had a radio or a satellite phone or something.
The net washed up broken in some beach trash and one guy fixed it. The guys also fought over that one guy doing nothing but fixing the net for several days. However they all forgave him and apologized when he started catching tons of fish. Oh and the guys also had a x carpenter who helped them all make beds to keep the bugs away. He was a grumpy bastard though.
Steve Irwin died because everything that could go wrong did go wrong.
The biggest difference was the men worked all day and didnt sit around complaining when they were upset they still worked and they had their fair share of arguments and disagreements. Also the women had at least 2 who knew what they doing but no one would listen to them

Basically both the men’s and women’s team had some infighting about leadership but the guys solved it faster. Also the women kept getting lost. Oh and the guys were very into the hunting and fishing.

I believe that there was no crew. Both teams had a survival specialist(male and female), and a medic. And both teams get a camera or two. But yes, both teams were monitored by their medics that did probably daily raports trough radio.

I was Scout many years in mixed gender troop. We had 2 male teams (older and younger) and 2 female teams (older and younger).
And always at camps we had at least once, a 2-3 day field game in complete wilderness. We didn't have to look for food in the forest (although we always did, wild fruit, nectar from nettle flowers, sorrel, or forest clover), before the game we shopped for a limited amount of money so that we had something for meals for the entire trip.(but we had to cook it by themselves of course)
Once there we had to find a place for a base. Build a hut for the entire team. Sometimes we had to do additional typical survival tasks (like cooking a meal from what we found in the forest). Or build a catcher and a water filter.
At night there was a game of stealing banners from other teams.
But before the night games ALWAYS the leaders of the younger and older boys first gave instructions to their subordinates what to do. And then they went to look for the girls to check if they were doing well. Whether they needed help. And I don't want to sound like a chauvinist. But yes. Girls need help. 9 out of 10 cases. The only women who could do it by themselves in these conditions were Scouters. With 15 or more years of experience.
And I still remember my Scouter (Maja) explaining to me how to light a fire using pine branches as kindling. But she herself could never do it and was surprised that I had no problem with it.

i watched the show, its actualy more pethetic than this makes it look, the women were repeatadly handed food and resorces by the crew, peopel in boats came and gave them fish rather than them getting the damn fish themselves, the ladies "found" a strangly unresponcinve mother wild pig which continued sleeping while they stood around poking it with stick and deciding on a name or wether to eat it... then they took the two "wild" piglets that walked right up to them and gave them names... one time the ladies used up all theyre remaining clean drinking water... washing theyre hair... oh, eventualy they did end up eating the piglets too once theyd started starving to death, then they ruined one of theyre two cantines by stuffing it with rotting meat so they abandoned it for days till the show runners keept warnning them about theyre dangerous dehidration, eventualy after enouhg discualifications from women nearly diying they gave up. the women did awful and it is largely becuase of the disorganization the ai voice points out, you can hate it all you want... facts are facts, only diluded feminists think men arint needed, but thankfuly its a self currecting problem, the moment something goes wrong.

The men established a camp, established cover, even made beds out of reeds and leaves, had a filtration system made out of bottles and various types of rocks, hunting schedules, everything needed to survive. The women's team followed the beach, the long way, and eventually found the men's camp. They set up a few hundred feet away and were constantly leeching off the men's team for supplies, food, drinks, tools, whatever. And then one of the guys rightly pointed out that they werent getting anything in return for all of the stuff they were providing and told them to either find a way to pay for it all, or to screw off. The women's team also routinely begged fishing boats for food when they came by and always got a few massive catfish from them. They always ended uo letting one rot instead of correctly storing it, but still.

TBF it's to do with how the show is consisted, filmed and edited. I've seen a fair share of people breaking down at extreme situations, and there is no "men" or "women" when that happens. If you've gathered ppl that don't have any outdoorsmanship or base knowledge of survival stuff, then they're gonna be in trouble. Men and women alike.

The camera and medical people were a part of the group, the people responsible for their life's were on a boat, this show was in Australia so it was more real than any American survival show, this vid tho was cut.
The only drama the men had was stretch for 3 episodes, and it was over wither or not a fishnet was worth it, and the women reserved handouts.

The Channel Think Before You Sleep has done a more in depth analysis of the series and the statistics of Men vs Women survival and would be a way better watch than that channel tbh
That channel is more meant for satire and pro men stuff and no facts and statistics to back up any of their claims outside of “it sounds true so it must be true!”

I have always held the belief for this video that they did edit it in a great way to make the women look a tad worse than they actually were on the show and the Ai guy is definitely a bit (read *a lot*) biased against the women as it seems to pretend that there aren't capable women out there.
HOWEVER.
in this specific instance I believe every contestant, male or female, were volunteers from an office setting. They're all roughly around the same age group and were all provided with a minimal amount of survival training prior to being left on the island. Each group also had experts attached to them for advice and just in case of an emergency. The men got straight to work, elected a group leader, and got a massive headstart compared to the women who absolutely refused to have any one leader of the group.
They didn't do quite as terribly as the video made it out to be, but they definitely didn't do as well as the men. The women had multiple supply drops given to them, they were even given some pigs to raise and slaughter for food but they decided against that and just set them free on the island because they didn't want to kill them.
This experiment seems biased towards the men, but they all had the exact same chances to succeed and fail, it all came down to how well they could swallow their individual prides and egos and work as one cohesive unit to survive.

I feel like I need to, once again, stress the fact that I am in no way saying there are no capable women or that women wouldn't be able to survive in a situation like this; I am merely saying in this particular instance, the women were their own downfall for refusing to cooperate on a base level.
This shows that men have lots of experience with camping and survival skills than women

This video was extremely edited to make the disparity more extreme than it actually was. There were shortcomings on both ends and while the women were generally worse at the start the video editing was disingenuous to the actual events and timeline.
Actually they could have edited it to make the women look worse like how they were given two pigs to kill, cook and eat but the adopted them instead and gave them names. The women were far worse. Or are you saying the women eventually come together as a team and worked together and not said dumb stuff like “I don’t want to be told what to do”.
Actually actually, They really did eventually set their stupidity aside and get a good survival system going. If you haven't actually watched the show, it's probably not smart to judge it by a video edited to promote braindead "man better than woman at survival" ideology.

Funny but totally bias video.
There is definitely bias, but the edits actually make the female team look better as hard as it is to believe. They just did that bad. Both teams had a survival expert and about a week of survival training. There were also “handouts” on both sides, but for the most part the teams would still have to work for them (fixing the net, actually killing the caiman). The female team tho did get more handouts not shown in the video like 2 piglets that they refused to eat because they were cute even though they were literally starving. The handouts I’m fine with because it’s a reality tv show and they do add variety to it, but the female team performed significantly worse despite the male team having their issues (like w/fixing the net), having more handouts that were also easier to use, as well as going into the competition with a ton of arrogance. Regardless of whether the video is biased or not, the events are documented in the actual show and they just performed so awfully that it couldn’t make them look good no matter how they tried to skew it.
The video isn't really honest because the guys had lots of issues too, one of the guys got hur in such ha way he had to be moved away fro the island, buncha scorpion bites, what twouldn't bte were the fiishes until hey got lucky one day but even those wouldn't last forever. The croc was he onlyy decent meal they had and dhe meat got bad he next day...
