Chris, I love your channel and always look forward to your recipes. I was born in Aruba and now live in Utah, U.S. and love to try all your recipes. Thank you so much for all your hard work in making your videos.
I was there on Nov-2017 and this place was busy for cold winter. Great food quality and a nice place to visit and have lunch. Afterward we walked to "The Distillery" with fashionable and artsy shops and boutiques, not to mention fun bars and restaurants. We highly recommend these two places. Enjoy !
I agree with you too on our markets back home. But your market in Toronto is amazing! Talk about variety and I see they have alot organic foods. Love it!
I live about a 30 min drive from St Lawrence market and haven't been in ages. I got too overwhelmed by all the choices lol. Time for another visit! Thanks for this post
Hey man i appreciate that video so much. That totally blew my mind. Now I'm hungry and about to pass this video along to mom and the rest of the family. Have a good day.
I recognise this market, I was in Toronto last summer on vacation visiting family, and my cousin brought me to this market in downtown. I fell in love with St Lawrence market, it's so vibrant with a super abundance of food. Chris you should have videoed downstairs too where the tea, spices and chocolate are.
The sea food place in the rear of the market is just the best... my best friend lived in the condo next door so we lunched there often... tons of great food places in that area.
my mom spoke about places like these when she was in Windsor back in the day she said you'll go crazy spending the day in there cause they got every thing you need
Thank you for sharing this. I love to cook and would love to know the name of that flatbread cooker thingy... ;) It is on the 13:35 minutes into the video. Pleae help if you can. Thank you in advance for any help.
This place looks fantastic. I thought the Boqueria Market in Barcelona was good but this looks better. I'm a big foodie and I'm seriously thinking of taking a trip to Toronto to check this place out. I wonder how much a flight from London to Canada is?
Hey.. I have a doubt, my family memb is moving to Toronto this year... He is big fan of lamb. But, what kind of lamb they do use there in Toronto? Sheep and goat?
It will depend upon the store; if you go to West Indian supermarkets, or Middle Eastern one, you'll get go, oxtail, or lamb (not too sure about sheep.)
Hi there, Not so trendy, est. 1803 or thereabouts. Just the oldest and best market for seafoods and meats, not the best farmers market although there are some organics. It's the convenience of having it all under one roof in Toronto due to the winter. Easy for commuters and pedestrians as it is near Union Station. Lots of yummy samples on Saturdays.
personally , i feel this place is over priced, i prefer to go to kensington market, where you get much better prices for food, this video doesnt do st lawrence market, justice, you just have to see all the people coming and going in here, and it doesnt matter what time of the year it is, it is always packed, and its twice as bad on the weekends
I like it.......but Indian street food is something like this..... Bombay Chaat and Dosa is a Pure Vegetarian Fast Food South, West and North Indian Restaurant and serves foods from different parts of India and authentic Street Foods of Bombay is the food sold by hawkers from portable stalls in Bombay. It is one of the characteristics of the city. The city is known for its distinctive street foods. Although street food is common all over India, street food in Bombay is noted because people from all economic classes eat on the roadside almost round the clock and it is sometimes felt that the taste of street food is better than restaurants in the city. Many Bombayites like a small snack on the road in the evening. People of Mumbai cut across barriers of class, religion, gender and ethnicity are passionate about street food. We serve you purely vegetarian food and give you the true flavours of Street Foods of Bombay. However, there are more than these that can treat the taste buds. Dosa Plane Dosa Masala Dosa Mysore Dosa Chilli Dosa Cheese Dosa Chattinad Dosa Chocholate Dosa Pav Bhaji Dosa Idli Sambhar Uttapa Chaat Papadi chaat Samosa Chaat Dahi Vada Dahi batata Puri Sev Puri Bhel Puri Pani Puri Ragada Pattice Utsal Pav Vada Pav Pav Bhaji Bombay Sandwitch Bombay Veg Burger Channa Batura Channa Paratha Kaju Curry Paratha Pooran Poli Ras Malai Gulab Jamun Masala Chai Regular Chai Kulfi Mango kulfi Pista Kulfi Malai Kulfi Falooda Kulfi Vanilla Bar Ice Bar Orange Kulfi
