A high quality, ballad-type backing track in E Lydian in the style of master guitarist and musican Steve Vai. F, G, A B, C, D, E, F are the notes in the F Lydian scale in the first diagram you have F, F#, G# that looks screwed up to me You did the same thing in E Lydian

The VIII scale pattern starting around 2:40 is not accurate. The 1-4 strings are all a half step too high. I haven’t checked the others.

I was hoping to like this, but I don't understand why you scroll trivia the whole time? I am trying to play to the track and the diagrams disappear and lets me know for the tenth time that Lydian is one of seven modes derived from the church scales. FFS.

Hi Curtis. In fact I show it 2 times instead of 10 :) This is the second video I uploaded form the more than 100 I have uploaden until now. Therefore it's not the best video regarding layout. Still, The goal is to give viewer some knowledge about the lydian mode and some scales to practice with. Just pause the video and earn the scale patterns and improvise over the track.
