The casio w214 has that exact same feature but on a "manly" watch. It's the only other casio watch I've found that has this feature. I personally think it looks ugly as hell but I would still love to get one since it's bigger, but I don't think they were ever sold in my country :(
👍pat yourself on the back! Due to this video a lucky woman got the silver/metal one "LA670" for the Holidays. Good job, Anne👍it looked so good on you at @8:00
That is so awesome! I LOVE this watch. It's just the picture of elegant functionality! I'm very happy for the lady who got this for the holidays. :) thanks for telling me!
Good thing I have tiny wrists and able to wear these perfectly fine. I love that it packs SO MUCH in a really small package, the only thing missing is a backlight.
I bought my first Casio as a teen back in the early '70s. I thought it would last maybe a year if I was lucky because the price was low. What did I know. By the time I lost it a few years later it was scuffed, scratched and beaten but still kept good time. Thanks again for the video, Ann. They're always appreciated.
Yup, never seen this one before. I really like the non- busy face. A NATO strap might give it more wrist presence. Great idea with the pairings. Great video as always.
Thank you for watching, S. Jack! Yes, a Nato strap is a fantastic idea! I have no idea how that would work - this is REALLY SMALL. But I think I saw a12mm Nato strap somewhere - maybe????
I must admit, I do like watches. Loving the knife/watch pairings. Casio has some truly excellent edc watches. I've been a G shock 5610 wearer for years and if you can find one, the Overland series are a brilliant field watch. Thanks for the upload 🍻
I adore these watches! so practical, durable, affordable, dainty and adorable. I already have 4 in different colors /materials, and I can see myself getting more, kinda obsessed lol
I love these watches, I have 2 from this series. One is all gold, the other is blue and gold, both feature metal bracelets and give strong vintage vibes. My wrists are so small that this size watch looks “normal” on me. Most watches that are this small are designed for kids and don’t look elegant. I love the feature (not mentioned in this video) of holding down a button to show the date. My only complaints are the alarm is not loud enough to reliably wake me in the morning and the watch has no 24 hours display only 12 hour display. Bonus fact: Morgan Donner from right here on RUclips (a sewing and crafts channel) wears a black and gold metal bracelet version of the watch.
Thank you so much for your comment! I have not seen the blue ones but I really have my eye on the gold color! You are right about the alarm. It is only good for if you are paying attention but that's actually one of the things that I like about it because when I'm using the timer around other people, I really just want it to be loud enough for me to hear and not to interrupt everyone. You're right, I did forget to mention that you can push the button to show the day and date! And I do that all the time. Because I always forget the date. But having it off of the main screen keeps the watch uncluttered and the numbers as large and readable as they are. I'm going to check out Morgan Donner's channel! Thank you!!
I got the silver one recently, just because i wanted a way smaller watch than my bulky a168, but when I discovered it has the timer setting right on the start screen it became so much better for me. I can set the time quickly while cooking or to keep my break at work within the time limit, or even snooze my morning alarm for a minute. The only downsides i have for this watch is that there is no backlight, and also getting used to american time after using european my entire life has been a bit of a struggle, but it's super classy and all the other attributes it has balance it out, so i highly recommend this watch.
Oh I'm glad to see your comment! Yes, it is one of the most functional watches I have because of this feature. You do not know how many things could benefit from timing until you have a timer this easy to use! Thanks for your comment!
This watch is perfect for my 5.2 inch tiny wrist. I have to memorize the timer features because the print and the buttons are so small. But, as a teacher, this is an invaluable classroom tool. Setting a timer on the fly is such a benefit. I honestly get upset with myself if I forget to wear it. Now, if I could just remember how to reset the date...
Hi Anne, another great video. I've had my Casio Warthog for a week and I'm loving it! It's incredibly light on the wrist, the vibration alarm reminds me to go home at the end of the day, and the brightness of the back light is perfect. Thank you Anne.
Sadly I didn't get a choice, it's the black and silver. But it's not my only watch so i still have options. This is why I enjoy your channel, it's not just about the practicality and function of things but also elegance and style. Which is definitely just as important.
Thank you very much TJB - that is really nice!! I really like the black and silver one so much. I was looking at it online not long ago and considered buying one but really. Do I need two RO FL? 🤔 ⌚️
Very good video. I've been wanting a white f91w for a while and didn't know about the LA series. Gonna gave to get after market straps because I've got big wrists.
I haven't been able to find anything about someone replacing the straps - the watch itself is REALLY small. A child, maybe 6 years old, came up to me just to tell me that my watch was small!!
i'm a huge fan of the f91w, and i would do embarrassing things to get Casio to release an f91w with this timer feature, as the LA11WB is just too small and looks silly on my wrists. I have pretty bad ADHD and time blindness is a huge problem for me - having an uncomplicated, simple, and quick way to set a timer - that, crucially, doesn't involve taking out my phone and inevitably getting distracted - is a huge, huge feature for me. The f91w even has an unused area for this button! What I'm saying is, where do I sign the petition?
Oh yes you are not kidding!! I can't believe they have never come out with another watch with this feature. I don't even look at it to set it!! Just count the beeps. Hmmm... a petition...
I gave the white one to my 15 year old daughter for Christmas and she hasn't taken it off since. She loves the timer function and the small size. This model should be more well known!

I have been looking for a small watch that I can pair with my "manly" watch just for the timer function. The ability to set a countdown timer with just a few pushes is something I've been looking for, but I also need GMT/world time functionality for my line of work (military tactical exercise coordination). I used to use an analog Seiko with a 5t82 movement (world time-countdown alarm), which only required me to pull out the crown to the 2nd position and press the bottom pusher the number of minutes I wanted the alarm to be from current time, but the problem is that the 2nd time zone I need to track can be difficult to see because it is in a subdial and is occluded by the hour and minute hands depending on the time of day. I think it would be amazing to add this watch on to a regular time piece however I think the problem that you'd run into is that you can't do it his way. It won't fit onto a Nato strap that will hold a regular watch because it's so narrow. I will measure the possible width of a Nato strap on it when I get home and post it here if I remember. He mentioned something about Spring bars. I don't know what that is. But with that fixed this problem?
@@thevineclimber @thevineclimber I don't use a double-pass Nato on mine, I use either what's called a Zulu (basically a Nato without the security strap), or I use a parachute strap (it's elastic). As for the strap fitting the lug width, the G-shock for example technically has a 16(? not sure)mm width, too narrow for a normal Nato which usually start at 20 iirc. So I use a strap adapter sold by third parties. Cheers! Spring bars are those bars holding the strap onto the watch Edit: additionally you can trim down the width of the nato strap with a good pair of scissors if you're feeling brave

Cheers!
Spring bars are those bars holding the strap onto the watch
Edit: additionally you can trim down the width of the nato strap with a good pair of scissors if you're feeling brave
i have no idea how to set the time on this watch lol
