Modified 2015 Audi S6 - One Take

- The Audi S6 is no slouch on its own, making 420 HP out of it's Twin-Turbo 4L V8, and pushing that power through a dual-clutch gearbox with AWD. But some choice modifications raise the power to almost 520 HP at the wheels! With a soundtrack to match.

those diamond-stitch seats are stunning
Kyle Tatum I wanna get my s6 with white stitched seats
IT SICK IT PISS
GENOVA MASS UNSUB
Not really
Theyre prestige seats. Quite comfortable.
With the owner out of the car, atleast people cannot complain about him, another great one take Matt
+KoNLaR
Where the fuck is the owner, I loved listening to what the owner has to say.
Literally the worst review ever, 1/19, unsubscribed, disliked.
Hurr durr, I am an angry commenter that needs to complain
+Jason W. Morningwood good troll son
+Jason W. Morningwood HAHAHA That's pretty much everyone on Matt's videos. Bunch of salty fucks!
+KoNLaR Sad thing is, is that a lot of owners probably see the comments and dont want to be shown or possibly not want to show their car based on the idiot trolls.
Greetings from germany. Once, I was a co-driver in a 2015 Audi RS6 Avant. It was a great joy, extremly fast for such a heavy car and so practically. A shame that they are not sold in U.S.
They are now lol
after owning and driving an audi for so long its hard not to appreciate the sheer beauty and quality put into them, unparallelled by american vehicles
So poetic,so beautiful...I nominate you to receive a Nobel Peace award....Audi 4 Life.
+Jordan Erickson
I mean, the price you pay for an Audi it better be built with quality and good looking. I own a B5 A4 and its held up well, but its unfair to compare Audi to ALL American car makers when there is really only one (Cadillac) that is a direct competitor and makes cars as expensive as Audi.
+Antwon Jenkins tesla
Antwon Jenkins what!?...you gotta B5 A4?...my ECS Tuning rear diff mount just came today...hopefully this will be the last piece to the puzzle.
+Jordan Erickson It better for what they cost. You also need to get in a new caddilac.
As an owner of a 16 S6 with similar work done to it, I can tell you that the car DOES NOT HAVE SPRINGS. I lowered the car via the factory air suspension, and the car does handle better.
In terms of exhaust, I did downpipes but chose to leave the factory sport exhaust. It is loud under WOT with dynamic mode/trans in sport, but in auto or comfort, it is super quiet. I plan on adding exhaust cutouts soon for that "fuck you" noise that I desire once in awhile.
I like that car but that air suspension is pain in ass I hated that thing in e63 amg
What did you use to lower your S6
The Transporter VCDS computer lowering and lowering links.
What about the manual mode shifting up?
How is it holding up?
thank you owner of the s6 for letting Matt drive it you have a amazing car! its beautifull machine stunning!
He seems surprised what kind of a good car this is.. It's an Audi buddy, they are ALWAYS good
what a freaking beautiful car. can't go wrong here
Those downshift blips sound crazy from the outside.
I love that car. Audi does such a good job at making fast cars you can live with every day
As an owner of an s6. The biggest insult the car ever gets from others is “it’s a dad car” “ it’s to heavy to perform or compete” I’ve driven a m4 an m3 a c63s and many more cars that are lighter. It feels the same for majority of the ride. Like you said extremely light on its feet. It may be heavier but it doesn’t feel that way. And when you push it up to big numbers it can do more than compete
The DSG box has torque limiters for each gear which is why it upshifted early even in manual mode, you can have the DSG box remapped to change the rev limiter. When tuning things like the Golf R you usually tune the box when you do the engine but maybe if this tuned V8 engine was already pushing the gearbox anyway maybe better to have that margin of protection. That's said it is robbing you of some of that top end power.
matt, i'm supposed to be doing homework and studying.
I've been watching one takes for the past week.
Keep up the awesome work!
Nice review, i recently got a tune on my S7. Amazing how much it wakes up the car!
Matt wants pads and fluid on everythang
Sounds amazing! and those seats are sick
This car is so beautiful. Understated beauty is what I love.
The sound of the car passing by is awesome.
Hands down my favourite car still, years after seeing this video the first time.
I have a 400-450hp APR stg2 A6 and saving for an S6. An S6 at stage 2, with RS turbo on it (a legit option supported by APR), make 600hp/617tq on 91, 634hp/671tq on 94 gas (what I would do), and peak 707/714 on race gas!! That's the same power as a Hellcat !!!
Ive never liked Audi's but that thing is just stunning.
There are much more better Audis.
+TheEryk03
For fun, I'm guessing the S3 has it beat.
TheEryk03 That's not what my comment was defining.
Holy hell those downshifts are just sublime!
From the outside, that is easily one of the best sounding cars out there. It's strikes me as odd that when people list great-sounding engines, you almost never hear anyone bring up those fantastic Audi V8's.
That exhaust note gave me life!
Man alive, does that thing sound spectacular. Sweet ride.
I just bought a 2018 A6 and its such a comfortable vehicle to drive, and gorgeous to look at, as well. Doesn't have to be an S or RS for me, I just love how they look and make other people look 😉
When you said "weeee" coming out the corner haha you're something else Matt, great video!
Great video Matt! I've really been feeling the S6's lately and this gave me a good idea on how to make mine. You should do a GT-R next ^_^ I really liked the Supercharged Acura Type-R AND the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo video. Thank you Matt for always delivering and making each video enjoyable for us to watch! I also haven't been feeling any BMW's because I feel like they've lost their excitement. To me they just seem like regular cars. I've never owned one so I wouldn't know.
This looks fast and also looks like it carries a lot of speed in the turns. Tight turn radius for the size of this car.
a debadged modified S6 would make a great sleeper car! the 'non flared arches' add to the stealthiness compared to the RS6
that's the best part of the rs6...the flared arches. a car like this should never be lowered... it supposed to ride smooth and not bounce around
i like the flared arches on the RS6 too, i was just talking about from a stealth performance car perspective as the S6 looks very similar to an A6
If I'm not mistaken the Rs6 and S6 wheel arches are the same. In photos they don't look different other than the fact that the Rs6 is a Wagon.
+Tristan R nope the RS6 avant has flared arches, it's subtle but there
Even badged mine is quite the sleeper since I make about 50whp more than this one. Get loads of sports cars trying to play and getting shut down real quick once I step on it haha
Look at those seats
Great review as usual Matt! Thanks!
What a beast! Sounds great, and drives the part too. Blending agility & ride quality, and authoritative loudness & quiet cruising isn't an easy feat. But by god, this S6 has done it! And it will only get better from there.
My '89 Grand Marquis should be something like this 2 years from now speed-wise. An all aluminum 302 with forged everything should save me at least 150 pounds, while making more power, more reliable power, and more usable power than stock. Won't be making 520 at the wheels, but she'll only weigh some 3450 pounds without me in it. Not bad for old iron. :-) Brakes, chassis, and transmission needs to get done first though. 4R70W swap, poly everything, big brakes, etc.
Sick! You were moving very quick!
This is such a good looking car!
Those V8s sound so great! :)
I would probably put the S6 among my favorite cars. Great power, balanced chassis.. and let's not forget Quattro AWD.
That is a nice car, man. I'm really loving it, too. Huge step up from my old 1994 Mercedes C280 I drove years back. Both Euro luxury, but this S6 blows it out of the water in terms of power.
+1.. Great review. .. Gotta luv the S6 owners generosity. .. Thanks!
That is such a good looking car, tint all around helps also
That thing is savage. Nice ride
Saw your new R32 in the background, no excuse not to film it then! I reeeeeeally wanna see that.
Those seats. mmm delicious
Look at those beautiful seats
I love The Upshift into Corners Great Setup
So much want. I love the way Audi engines sound.
Oh shit. Matts R32 GTR in the background!
I read 420 HP from a TT 4L V8 & immediately knew that shit was ready for more power.
lovee this car..keep making more audis, try some 6 speeds too. they are fun
Awesome sound!
This is a great daily car fast, loud, and luxurious.
Matt, traction control is keeping the rev locked a grand below where you want it... Disable it and it will not restrict you from go higher. Not sure why Audi chose to do that but its the same on the S4 and most of the s models in general. Nice review by the way
I'm not a big Audi fan but that thing is beautiful.
I am looking at two totally different cars on the aspect but since you have driven them both which car do you feel you would like to own more ? The audi s6 or the CLA 45 amg? I'm on the fence about both as my wife loves the AMG any input you have would be great
Sounds so good!
I love this car.
@TheSmokingTire considering APR makes and has done RS7/6 turbos swaps onto S7/6 models the dual clutch can most likely hold these lower levels of power.
Is it possible to get an exact exhaust system spec on this S6? This is by far the best exhaust sound I've heard on an S6.
AWE makes some great sounding exhausts. It's what I wanted on my Audi before I sold it.
I noticed the AWE intake appears to be separated..the bolts don't look completely adjusted but then again you can see what looks like glue residue on the seems or lack of a gasket, AWE Quality control? Or Install error?
Oh an what's with the fluid spill on the right side of the engine near the coolant reservoir?
beautiful, well taken care.
The 1.8t was the deep Roots where all these new Audi motors came from. Where they learned how to make big torque out of small displacement efficiently.
You can tell that guy in the MX-5 was checking out Matt's Skyline
He was showing up to our shoot
( 0:25 ) Man is horrible with magic, his vanishing act was poorly executed.
+HuffPuff Productions YOOO lol I would of never caught that.
😂😂😂😂😂
where the f did he go??
♡ Kleinr Schmetterling ♡ (Liberty Schulz) If you look closely, the owner of the car is back there and when he pans around the car, the owner hides behind the car lol
The carbon intake looks as though its slightly splitting at the seams at 0:37. Is it meant to be that way? Or is that merely a bracket for cables and wires for sensors?
Would love to know which AWE exhaust - Sport or Touring..?
Damn I'd love to see it with those ADVs on. Very impressive though, when you evaluate the loss of power to quattro this thing is making well over 600bhp.
Audi's scream class love it!
Hey Matt & guys at the smoking tire, do you think you could include exhaust notes at the beginning of the video while doing the intro? tell what exhaust it is and a little rev or 2. just a suggestion I really love watching your videos!
Thanks again!
Kick ass seats those are!
Matt, how does this compare to the APR A6 that you reviewed previously?
I have the last gen V10 S6 as my daily. the new one is on the want list some day.
Dads got a 2014 S6 but refuses to tune it! He's no fun at that game haha. Great video!
There's a good reason for that, aftermarket ECU tunes can trigger a TD1 flag on the Audi computer which service technicians can check and void portions of the warranty. if your dad is not the racing type, tuning for additional power is not worth the hassle for him
He said, "Go at it alone 😀." Very generous indeed.
We all appreciate you thank you for that post,,,,TEAM AUDI 0000
Cool car nothing outrageous just luxury and power
Need this as my daily!
the new audis are so nice.. damn
stunning car, too bad the owner did'nt wanna appear on camera. thats one of the best sounding engines of all time imho.
+DaOneJoel If you think the twinturbo audi engine is one of the best sounding engines of all time, there is something desperately wrong with you.
So you’re saying keep it stock or prematurely cook the clutches?
Great Sound
Love those downshifts
Coffee... check
Computer booted... check
One Take... check
Let the day begin!
Klinex... check
Hi Mat,It would have been really nice to know the cost of modifications done to the car and where they got them. Even if it's just a small list of info in the description. Thank you
Matt did you find out why it changed up while even in manual mode? Seems odd.
THE SOUND OF THE EXHAUST AFTER THE DRIVE BY WHEN YOU "BLIP IT" !!
Love the channel, but how do you get away with flaunting the speed limit so frequently?
Digging the S6.
Matt any idea which AWE exhaust this is? Touring or track
Its the AWE Track
it sounds like love
What a beauty!
That R in the background though. can't be unseen.
oh daaamn.
The stock DSG box does automatic down and up shifts even in manual, which is a pain. The fix is a DSG remap, which can make the manual mode like an actual manual :)
0:33 what's with the coolant all over the place?!
Matt, high-mileage example of this, or high-mileage B7 RS4?
Maye list all the mods... I caught full AWE exhaust but didn't hear anything on chip/programmer or anything else.
where in CA is the video taken? what canyon road
I genuinely wish these had a manual option.
Fun to drive, reliable, and a clutch replacement away for more power.
Beautiful car😀
I know this is a super old video, and somebody probably has mentioned it, but if you push the shifter right in the D/S position, it puts it in full manual mode and won't auto shift.
Ive got a 1000hp fully upgraded, including internals, s6. Would you want to take a look at it?
