Got my coffee ☕️ and ready to watch. Holy cow what a difference from then til now😮 you got a lot of feeder roots in there. Well, “had” a lot of feeder roots😂. It always amazes me after root pruning how the bonsai’s bounce back. Meanwhile I cringe when I accidentally break one off a root from a tree that has rooted through the pot and into the ground at the end of summer😂 another great video! Thanks for sharing Mike!
Hi Just have a question. I bought a 2 year old Olive tree hoping to turn it in to a Bonsai The nursery pot is too small and the soil is so compact that water doesn't penetrate through. It's Whiter her and minimum night temperature drops down to 3- Celcius . Is it safe if I just repot the tree in a bigger pot at this season If so should I clean the nursery soil around the compact soil ? Appreciate your Guidance in this respect 🙏
Generally speaking, if you're just slip potting into a bigger pot it should be fine. Probably won't hurt to get some of the old soil out and loosen up the roots.
In many bonsai videos, I notice that a common theme is to say how cheaply you got a particular plant, sometimes with a bit of a story. Mostly I think it is just a celebration of a bargain, but sometimes I think that most guys that use these stories are married, and need to "explain" why they have yet another plant. Kinda like fishermen, golfers, and guitar and watch collectors.
Love these videos man. Plant looks great!
Thank you!

@@BonsaiBoise Thanks my friend for your advise 🙏🙏🙏
God bless you 👍
It looks already better, is this tree facing always at the same direction to the light? One side has no branches.
Thanks. And no, it gets rotated quite a bit.

Haha, probably a bit of both. For me it's always exciting to turn some cheapo clearance plant into something cool.
