      Absolutely not 😅. I don’t know what is your experience is to say that but it couldn’t be more wrong. I am a certified French teacher and also TEF examiner, and I can assure you that this is indeed the level I assessed. Moreover, it is the level the student achieved in her exam just a few days afterward. At an A1 level, the person wouldn’t have understood me, and can barely introduce themselves using only the present tense, and perhaps a little bit of the past and future.
      It should also be noted that French is not the only thing taken into account in the evaluation of the grade. So, perhaps the French level is slightly below B2, around B1+, but there are other factors that count and are not directly related to French in the exam grading.
      Anyway verrrrry far from a1 or even a2/b1 😇
