Hey Thomas, you did a great Job there! I can now control my SM7b better than before! Unfortunately at the Start I can't copy/paste your preset Setting. So I did a little bit homework and now it should work 🫠 Can somebody confirm this - the Preset Settings are below:

But i have no idea how to write the actual contract? i'm getting a flat fee that's all i know. Should i include some sort of intellectual propperty stuff? and licensing to get residuals? i know nothing about this stuff and i really don't wanna make a mistake! i would greatly appreciate it if you could shine a light on healthy practices! and it would be a great addition to your allready fantastic catalog of tutorials on the subject!
@@LEYTHLEGACY So If I remember correctly OBS only recognizes VST2 files All I did was make sure that I moved the TDR program in its entirety into my VST2 folder. Heres a question. Are there any other vst's popping up in the plugin menu in obs. if so. the folder that those are installed in is where you want to install your TDR. Sorry man I hope this helps.

Do you know how to get rid off the latency ? I’m using the SMB7 with a cloud lifter and a scarlet interface. But when I talk, I get latency in my audio
I followed everything exactly and my SM7b sounds even worse than it did before :( I really don't know what else to do- it's either scratching or sounds like an ocean behind me. With these settings my voice sounds like a walkie-talkie

I run my smb through a Mackie dzl creator xs to OBS for a trading live stream which is just my voice over the video. to you have an experience with a Mackie mixer? is it better to run flat from the mixer and add the processing in post? fyi i am a complete audio nube wanting good voice audio for my trading stream.. many thanks again!
These settings seem great, but my mic picks up unwanted mouth noises. Adding an Expander filter with the default settings seems to take care of this, but it also seems to cut out some pieces of audio depending on the voice you're doing. Do you have any recommendations on a fix for mouth noises, whether it be the ideal Expander settings/which filters it should go between or something else?
If you were to want to add a noise gate, where would it go in comparison to the order of the other filters? I added everything else and it's working really well except for the need of a noise gate for my loud keyboard.
If I’m doing this for recordings can I also use the processed voice to input for Discord? I’d love to start recording with OBS instead of Nvidia shadowplay and I’ve also been using the SM7B without flipping the switches or processing the audio. Just starting to get into making clips. Gonna try these when I get home.
i don't see the plugin in obs i installed on c drive common files folder. I had a similar issue with reaper plugins but i fixed it by installing the plugins in c drive coomon files but these plugins are not showing up @@ThomasBoykin

If you have a problem with the preset settings pasting - there are some troubles with the quotes.

Why wont tdr nova pick up my mic but obs is?

That’s mostly a factor of your computer. Try turning buffering off

Could be your voice
Are you sure you are actually using you SM7b and not some other microphone from say a webcam or headset or something?
@@happysalmon6719it was a combination of things, most notably I think I was giving it maybe too much gain? And I was too far away from my mic
Hi Thomas, with your settings OBS sometimes eats some words or drops them as if OBS is swallowing them. What do I need to do? Is this the compressor?
That would be the noise reduction. You can turn it off

Hello, and glad to help. I would use the EQ on the mixer. You will need to go into PRO mode and EQ your individual mic channel for the best result.

Stay hydrated, eat a green apple, and try putting the mic at 45 degrees instead of pointed down your throat

Keyboard will be tough to knock out since it’s percussive. But a gate should go after eq and noise reduction
