"That's not hitting anyone in PVP" I've hit a lot of people with that spell... and it increases magic damage for a follow up magic greatbow spell. The fact it speeds up and has massive splash it great. And Ranni's dark moon spell causes frostbite. I use both Int and FTH builds, so I like them... but I do have a bias towards Int.
Interesting that Mohg's argument involving a kidnapping was considered - and in fact, everyone should know Dex and arcane >>> all. And the future friendship between Mogh and Radahn will be beautiful
Maliketh's Black Blade incantation is so freaking good! And lets not even talk about Flame, Grant Me Strengh, Flame Protect Me, Fire's Deadly Sin, Black Flame's Protection, and Golden Vow. Sorry Int players, but Faith is God.
As someone that started a paladin build (STR/FAITH) not too long ago after finishing the game with a dex mage, I can wholeheartedly agree that incantations are FAR superior in every way. WAAAAAAY more options to chose from in terms of versatility
I’m in he side of incantations, it has so many options and can work for almost any situation, also Gold Mask is the best ending fight me Ranni and Fia sims!
Abberant sorceries and blood incantations are both faith only, which is so cool to me, allowing you to alternate between the two without abberant sorcery being walled off by int.
My thoughts are simple: i'm on team ashes of war. Why are THEY not represented? Godrick would be perfekt for this. He just spams bear witness, I command thee kneel, storm caller and storm blade in battle.
May be the normal incant stuff is slightly better than magic as they are so versatile. Incant has access in every damage type so they can always fight everything and having heal and buff too . But the real strongest thing is all the dragon related incant. Those deal ridiculous damage to the point of 1 shot bosses and you are not that committed to standing still like Meteor or Azure either. And also Ancient Dragon Lightning Storm is also the strongest spell in the game. And Radagon learnt them all but he still somehow in the debate with Ranni. Probably because he loves doing that. May be that is his way of bonding

Incantations definitely got some more love but sorcery got the summoned weapons which are cool as hell. Strange since the only summoned weapons we see in game are on morgot but it's hard to complain with all the other cool incantations we got. Tbh they went a bit overkill on the buffs and could have used those spells to do something more interesting like melinas tree. Lastly something that I blame both sides for is death magic having no personality. - they should have kept the summoning of ghosts/skeletons as sorcery (maybe add some more) -and made death blight (fias mist, death lightning, plus they could add a death flame armament and fire ball for mosolium knight cosplay) as incantations. Would have made death themed builds a bit more interesting, and since both are int faith hybrids you could still have a seal and staff and use both for maximum death.
Morgott's holy weapon summons get weird if you look into their (lack of) interaction with Thop's Barrier According to the wiki and a video by Bulletnut, Thop's Barrier seems based on the following criteria: - must be a projectile - must be a spell (sorcery or incantation) - won't work on physical damage - briefly stalls homing projectiles - does not account for AoE For most bosses, leads to the following observations: - rocks cannot be repelled - cannot indefinitely delay homing projectiles - explosions linger, limiting utility - some spells are too wide to safely deflect - beams are considered AoE, not projectiles On most bosses, these observations make sense. However, for whatever reason, Morgott's holy knives and spears are nog subject to Thop's Barrier. Going by the above observations, this means Morgott is throwing actual knives and spears (how he carries so many is a question left answered).
Its annoying they got rid of pyromancer for weeb vagabond warrior combo. The lack of int/faith and int/arcane spells sucks but at least Discus of Light is one of like two incants that doesn't need a buff.

I'm really inclined to believe that Radagon is not taking the players seriously when they are fighting, because, not only does projectiles aside night sorceries are almost useless, but I have also seen rare instances of him parrying melee attacks.
Also, ranni, rennala both love the moon, ranni where's a giant hat, ranni semi puppets a tarnished and has a miniture puppet to do her bidding, why hasn't there having been any Ranni Majora or skull kid comparisons yet?
As much as I do enjoy some sorceries, emphasis on *some* , I have to stick with Team Incantations. So much more versatility with them and flashy to boot. I do agree with Rennala though. *Bleed builds are boring*
