Do you recommend greasing/moisturizing laces before doing the work? While I definitely don't want a floppy glove (I ruined my first mitt with too much oil right out of the box!) I hate my gloves getting too dry, so I try to do light but regular conditioning as needed with a very non-greasy product (skin lotion or light leather balm). I did notice this makes the lacing process a bit slimy and messy - maybe it's better to condition new laces and let them absorb/dry in advance? I just worry that if you lace first and then condition the finished glove, you're not getting the part of the lace that's inside the lining & shell. I see a lot of intermittent dry lace when I remove old laces, so curious to get your thoughts.
It is a Tanners needle, but they no longer make them like these any more unfortunately. They are now made of brass and an inch shorter. The lace I use is from Tennessee Tanning Co.
Could u please do a video on the Rawlings double X I-Web ? That’s the only thing that gives me trouble and that I haven’t mastered yet. I can’t find a good video like the ones you do on the Rawlings double X I web

Jorge - it all depends on the size of the glove and how much excess you leave on each end, but to be safe, you'll need at least 35-40".
