The dying light community is super friendly. I started playing this game very casually a couple weeks ago and didn't realize I had multiplayer turned on and it was set to occasionally request help. Every person that joins my game comes in and drops like 15 weapons that does damage upwards of 400 while everything else I have is typically 60 to 80 damage at best. Seriously nice community.
WE be like that sometimes. Mostly cuz we grind the snot out of the New Game+ junk which gives us Legendary Gear now. It is actually a lot of fun to just drop off gear that I don't need to friends and new people alike

If you sit by tv then sit on bed you will receive a gun…just sit on bed for a couple secs
I’m sure people know this but if you replace a charm with the korek charm and place it back it’ll repair your weapon fully again if you already had that weapon charm placed which means your weapons will never break unless you forget to change the charms

I found out that you can just reapply Korek continuously, you don’t need to apply a different one.

U can also get the Left Finger of gloVa if u sit on a mattress in the back room and stare at a techland poster. After all the teddy bears appear the blueprint will show up under the poster.

The fact you have go though such intuitive and annoying things just to feel like a god in 1 play though. An dont even get shit till second part, I mean hell they can make a menu or put them in a place where you can CHOOSE to use them or not.

There's more than an easter egg, but you ain't wrong they way it was done was annoying as hell after my second playthrough. Little disclaimer, you need the second tier of the active landing perk called safe landing if you try this on hard, active landing wont trigger because its to long a fall so you need the second tier otherwise you just fall and crack your skull every time, just tested it like 4 times, then got the perk and it worked first try

That’s because your supposed to use the grappling hook on the lights allowing you to skip safe landing each level

@@markmcgehee3864 yeah, even with safe landing i still take tons of damage and get left at like 25% hp, but i did manage it on hard just used up lots of meds probably still die if you dont got enough hp
And leave the place go In to the bedroom sit in the bed where the teddy's are and wait it will spawn many of them then the techland poster will change and then it spawns an different blueprint the left finger of glova.
This is so cool, I sat on the bed and didn’t expect teddy bears to descent from the heavens and gave me the finger gun mod lol

A couple of notes for those just discovering this:
You must complete the main quest Broadcast before you are able to reach the roof top that the first power cable is on, as there is no other way to get there prior.
If you are doing this or going back after completing the main quest Veronika, due to events that occur in the story, there will be a handful of zombies on each floor.
"You must complete the main quest Broadcast" OR max out your paraglider get minimum 400 stamina and boost your way up works i even climbed the vnc just after reaching the center using only boosts
you don't need to complete broadcast
There's not any zombies on any floor after completing Veronika
@@aaronblack4487 Unless they changed it with the March patch... Zombies would spawn on every floor. Interestingly enough, the exploder never did. Game was also incredibly buggy so, coulda been thwt.

I love when I watch a 5 minute video and it takes me 5 hours
First couple of times, no problem at all all the way until the second ledge with the grappling hook. Instead of falling straight down I catapulted over the fence somehow. Next I tried jumping from the grappling hook to avoid a repeat. Then I got into the second room but the cord disappeared. Now it won’t let me go into the building at all. I just see the room to land in zoom by.
I parachuted to wrong tower had to go back. Then to not get landing damage I tried to open parachute and released cable lol but got 3rd try
I exaggerated. It was more like 3 hours. Once I finally got the power cord into the building the third time, it wasn’t that hard. The second grapple, I could just wait until it stopped swinging.
@@theknightswhosay next time u can hold back to slow and hit B to just let go. I thought I was goong over the fence to. Lol
UnknownX just posted an update on this for the new update 1.2. It solves this.
@@divingfalconfpv4602 sometimes there is a delay in listening to my instructions. I think that happened the first time.
Lame, looks like they nerfed this, the Korek charm for me now just shows as "When a weapon's durability is at 25%, this charm will increase the damage dealt to enemies by 40%."

The hardest part of this is accidentally forgetting to grab a cable and then having to ride the elevator all the damn way up again...

I just did this and received the charm and a gun blueprint.. if you go sit on the bed long enough it will appear after all the 🐻

Listen to the music here, it’s a different version of the main theme. Unless it’s a different theme, I know that two places I believe had a similar theme. It’s pretty cool. It repeats indefinitely by itself.

There is also another secret and blueprint to a hand cannon or something. After you get the KoreK turn around and go into the back bedroom and lay on the floor by the TV first then go to the dirty mattress behind you and sit on that for a minute once your done and get up wait because after a minute a bunch of electrical beams start shooting at the floor and teddy bears show up after about 5 minutes of this on the wall a black envelope shows up and in that envelope are blueprints to a hand gun cannon thing.

korek machete blueprint is in the game too, hopefully we get it in the next DLC
was it datamined? is it just not accessible yet?
@@Tilted_Insomniac it's in the game, you can spawn it in using the dev menu if you're on PC. but it does 0 dmg
@Kheops IV if you can spawn it in that means its in the game files one way or another, therefore its "in the game" and most likely will be an easter whether it be now or later on

I did this in harde mode i have & I had a lot of fun doing it,
If anyone is watching this recently it does not give weapon durability it gives 25% damage when weapon is low durability which can be useful but sucks tho
I'm not the only one who was obsessed with fully restoring the city's power and water so when I saw the cable I just did it thinking it would be like a substation thing right? And then received all this cool shit.
R.I.P. OG Korek charm 2022-2023. Since Community Update #3 (1.13), Korek charm gives players an increased damage, when the weapon is at 15% or less durability.
Any reason why I connect my first wire to the one shown and the second wire still says no power.
Theres no way that techland actually did this, like I can just keep on using it on my 333 damage katana i found
I have used it, and it works infinitely on any weapon.

not rlly if u weren't fighting everything plus in dl2 weapons are not that good just get good at drop kicking zombies when u get the perk unlock, can kill most things by that

You do not need the second level of active landing. You can deploy your para glider as soon as you jump off to glide into the room safely
then you disconnect the cable

Little update on the Korek Charm It's 500 Durability and it takes 1 (RARE) Infected Trophy
Now it takes 400 mutation samples 😭

@@conansutton7990 thats 2 hag hunting spot interactions, they spawn about every 3-5 minutes. Its a lot better than a rare infected trophy

Progress through the main story quests.
The story quest where you obtain the grappling hook is called “Broadcast” I believe. The rest you will have to find out yourself.

you need to complete broadcast to get to the top of the tower to begin with... and at that point you would already have the grappling hook.
I manage to get on the top of VNC tower without doing "Broadcast"
Lets just say I struggle... a lot...

I must say, it took me at least 10 trys to get this to work, mainly because I had kept dying when jumping from windows.
I don't want to see the vnc building ever again, fuck that...
I have a glitch with my grappling hook where I die instantly when I land with it no matter the height.
Same for me. Just hang there for 10 seconds or so and so the drop and roll

wait at least 10 seconds or so before dropping from your hook, if you let it free immediately then it doesn't negate your fall damage

tried this today with patch 1.2.0
a few things to say.
to those that were lucky you dont have to pay scraps to fix each weapon
and to those that got the charm after patch 1.2.0 now have the problem of finding 666 scraps to place the charm into each weapon.
i also think that the charm only works once. idk havent tried yet.
I think ALL of them are patched

U can take the charm of and back on u get durability back. 500 I have not seen a weapon with 500 durability yet. But yes take the charm of and back on ur weapons is good to go. U actually don't even need to take the charm off just select it again reapply it and u r go to go. Weapon never breaks anymore.
You need to put in the description that you have to have done the story mission broadcast. Just spent an hour trying to get up that tower
It's not neccessary to to progress through the story. Just climbed my way to the top of the broadcast tower today and glided to this building to get the charm. Just discovered this second part of the map too so no grapple hook required. Just finesse

Don’t know if you know this but I apologise if you do but the left finger of glova is in the same place if you look around you can see some teddy bears on the bed and if you interact with the smallest bear on the bed enough times the blue print will Appear on the techland poster in front of you

So theres more to this I think. Inside the fridge in this room is a bunch of ducks. I found a Evil red duck in safe, apparently its part of an easter egg, but I havent seen anyone find it yet:

Edit: The whole apartment has a few easter eggs and developer references. kinda neat, worth exploring.
Edit 2: I sat on the bed with the teddy bears for a second, and lightning struck and more bears appeared. there has to be more!!
Edit 3: These edits are in real time lmao, I sat on the bed, and a bunch more bears appeared. then the techland poster transformed, and then it gave me a blueprint for a ranged weapon called "Left finger of Glova". Description says "This belonged to a mythic creature", costs 369 scraps
Someone solved the evil duck one, it gives you a force choke consumable weapon after you find them all
