First time commenting. I'm sometimes stressed out especially with balancing my work, home and 'me time'. Everything in my world is mostly online as a classroom teacher. I scream many times when the internet connectivity issues present themselves. I've taken to gardening as a self-care prescription. It has really been helping me. Thanks for your take aways it helps to stay positive!
Been hard for me too as a final year practice teacher, not been able to have a normal practice and because of such have extra work. And as a mother, a wife and a student, seems like everything get harder and you just start feeling overwhelmed.
Im so thankful. I still have my job and was able to buy my house..my child is still home school and doing well. We got quarantine once from our department. Stayed home for 2 weeks with pay. Praying for single parents who are struggling with the kids who are home. Try to double up on your mask...keep yourself safe, it is your responsibility not Mr. Holness. Be smart fam...be blessed.
It’s been a long year. Having to monitor a 4 year old during online classes is challenging and to have that coupled with work is a whole other situation. But I’m making the best of it and keeping my head up. My family made it through one year without any of us getting the virus and that’s a blessing

Relationship almost tek mi out. For me active Covid was not the worst, 3 months with long haul symptoms (autoimmune and neuropathic). Be vigilant and yes personal accountability will be key in combination with other health measures. Stay safe

I love you💖 I too get those feelings of anxiety. It is mentally taxing because I am a straight extrovert. I genuinely love people and it is hard not being able to be around them. But, I am staying away to keep them and myself safe. I go for long walks, get fresh air, take my vitamins, keep hydrated, sing, read, Zoom, FaceTime etc. God bless you sweet Rush💖🤗🙏🏾
Honestly, I am ecstatic that you touch on the topic. Even spoke about your experience with it. Also, I am glad that I am knowledgable about myself, I had my full uni experience and my level of adaptability. Because I know it has not been easy on many, especially mental health-wise. jah know tar the sad thing about this covid thng is that the Jamaicans are not taking it serious enough....people still partying, people still wear mask when thwm feel like, do not sanitize absolutely no social distance anywhere at all...public places are still extremely overcrowded and guess what THE CASES RISES!!!!!AND LOVE ONES DIE!!!!!BECAUSE PEOPLE CHOOSE TO BE IRRESPONSIBLE.........I AM SOO ANGRY AND SAD BECAUSE OF THIS.......................
When the news of the first case came I was in Japan preparing to return home having been away for some time. The journey home was quite traumatizing honestly especially when I got to the US. When i finally reached Jamaica the welcome wasn't good, people were literally scornful (it did hurt but I understood why they were). Quaratined for 3 weeks, and I had crazy anxiety ended up being prescribed xanax (didn't take it beyond a day, tried meditating instead), then I was out of a job for months with a mortgage and bills to pay but guess what God was good to me and has always been good to me. Ended up getting covid in September but I survived. Thank you for this video! This past year has been a trying one but God is good
All I can say is thank God I'm an introvert or this would have been a lot more stressing for me. Honestly living alone and being inside this much has increased my anxiety about leaving the house to do anything other than grocery shopping. I'm grateful to be working from home because my organization has had quite a few cases of Miss C and if chik v nearly kill mi, I don't even want Miss C anywhere near me.
Completely exhausted from it 1 year later fighting it directly on the frontline it's as if we are loosing the battle. Too many persons not taking it seriously, hard to do 16 hours in isolation only to step out and the streets are filled with persons completely disregarding the protocols.

Emotionally exhausted is an understatement , like you I thought I had it but it turned out to be an extremely bad lung infection then I recently got it from my neighbor . I was annoyed because I stay home and I am always to myself and just like that covid came knocking at my door . Lets not even talk about the boredom and loneliness . It does not seem like better will come because many do not see how serious this is and how this will damage our country for years to come if we do not operate differently .

I was at work when the news broke but experiencing the reality of living in covid first hand when I got off a flight at Toronto at the same time when a flight from Tokyo came in who I believe a few were positive and but there was nothing in place due it not actively being in Canada. One year later into covid am I ok? No, I'm not. Mentally I'm drained everyday it's a new restriction. I literally told myself we're in this love hate relationship. Actively working with covid elderly residents in a LTC almost all my residents died so that was another heartbreak on it's own mentally. But guys follow the protocols, hold yourself accountable and be your brother's keeper. This won't last forever.
I don't think this Panera will be over tomorrow however we need to be disciplined these are serious times and we need to be vigilant and be our brothers keeper.....

I find that covid isn't partial to anyone. You can be as fit as a fiddle and it knocks you right down. All we can do is be vigilant and follow the protocols and keep each other safe.

Our 18 yr old son showed that he had antibiotics in his system but out 8yr didn't have any antibiotics. Virtual school is definitely hard..

I’m a twig and I’ve gained some healthy weight and my mental health has gotten wayyyyyyyyy better. I am pacing myself and my goals! I fear for the summer. A lot of people are already planning to party because they're vaccinated, ignoring the fact that the vaccines don't prevent you from getting sick, they're just gonna keep you out of the hospital. They're not gonna stop you from spreading it either. So we still have to keep doing everything we're doing now. At least until they have more information as to how effective the vaccines are in the real world. Me ? I plan to continue to wear my mask for the foreseeable future, vaccinated or not.

I can totally relate. The worst relationship ever 😕. I remember when when the virus just started here(China 🇨🇳). It was a bit depressing being in my apartment everyday all day. Only time I left my apartment was when I had to visit the supermarket and dispose of my garbage. Everytime I went to the supermarket and I start to feel some type of way me just start worry. Who could a say I didn't have it, I was naive 🙈🙈 I would make some ginger tea with garlic and lemon lol. I got constant messages asking if I wasn't going back to Jamaican, it was overwhelming at some point. I remember thinking, I wouldn't want to leave and risk contracting the virus and risk my family getting the virus because at the time being quarantined wasn't a solution yet. So I totally understand and even now when I go the road and get home I wonder if I did all I could to prevent myself and even then it's still possible. I just want it to be over with sigh. Could you share where you got the blood test done?had the same thing you had and went to do a antigen test after I was well enough to go out....said negative but I still have the after effect sometimes (fatigue, loss of taste etc) I am person who tract my vitamins, fiber etc etc intake, exercise and move daily so I know something is a bit off... my doctor said i am good otherwise so just want to get that out my mind...
A really 1 year dis Panera bread deh yere ... that makes it 1 yr of resilience.... 1 yr of eating 50% less cause this panera bread cut income ... 1 yr a growth ... 1 yr of added wisdom ....
I suspected I was exposed and got tested. I was ordered to be on quarantine. 10 days after being tested I got the call to say I'm positive. I have absolutely no symptoms and I'm considered to be high risk person due to underline illnesses. Idk what to say at this point...

I fear for the summer. A lot of people are already planning to party because they're vaccinated, ignoring the fact that the vaccines don't prevent you from getting sick, they're just gonna keep you out of the hospital. They're not gonna stop you from spreading it either. So we still have to keep doing everything we're doing now. At least until they have more information as to how effective the vaccines are in the real world. Me ? I plan to continue to wear my mask for the foreseeable future, vaccinated or not.

I can totally relate. The worst relationship ever 😕. I remember when when the virus just started here(China 🇨🇳). It was a bit depressing being in my apartment everyday all day. Only time I left my apartment was when I had to visit the supermarket and dispose of my garbage. Everytime I went to the supermarket and I start to feel some type of way me just start worry. Who could a say I didn't have it, I was naive 🙈🙈 I would make some ginger tea with garlic and lemon lol. I got constant messages asking if I wasn't going back to Jamaican, it was overwhelming at some point. I remember thinking, I wouldn't want to leave and risk contracting the virus and risk my family getting the virus because at the time being quarantined wasn't a solution yet. So I totally understand and even now when I go the road and get home I wonder if I did all I could to prevent myself and even then it's still possible. I just want it to be over with sigh. Could you share where you got the blood test done?had the same thing you had and went to do a antigen test after I was well enough to go out....said negative but I still have the after effect sometimes (fatigue, loss of taste etc) I am person who tract my vitamins, fiber etc etc intake, exercise and move daily so I know something is a bit off... my doctor said i am good otherwise so just want to get that out my mind...
Our 1st case in Antigua was from the UK also

I suspected I was exposed and got tested. I was ordered to be on quarantine.
10 days after being tested I got the call to say I'm positive. I have absolutely no symptoms and I'm considered to be high risk person due to underline illnesses.
Idk what to say at this point...
