    Word is you are one of the most informed bamboo growers on the planet! What is the best type of bamboo to start with for the best successful opportunity to grow a healthy plant system?

    Hi M. Joseph!
    I appreciate your nice and instructive video! I'm interested to get some fruits of the giant bamboo to plant it in my forest of bamboos! Unfortunately, I live in Ivory Coast, West Africa! That's the reason I would like the fruits instead of the branches or roots. I also know that bamboo flourishes every 7 years. So, please I beg you to help me introduce this type in my country!
    Thanks s lot to answer me!
    M. Koffi

    The saw that you mentioned, I tried to find one using what you sounded to call it "bando saw" but all I find are band saws! LOL... Any tips on how to find one is much appreciated as I now just planted 9 varieties of bamboo on my property...

      Garden Exchange in Hilo carried the bando saw but it has been replaced with the rhino saw that you can get from them.

    I liked this video very much. However I am unable to hear clear the pronunciation of the variety of the bamboo referred to as Herosi Bamboo. Can anyone tell me correct spelling of this species and also the source to get the seeds of this particular variety which seems to be extremely useful

    • @islandeyesvideo
      @islandeyesvideo  5 лет назад

      Hirose, it is named after the family that planted it here. The species is un-named officially. It has never seeded and propagation is by root division, and cuttings with a little more difficulty. It is reported to be a bamboo from China.
