Going to the mall specifically Northgate mall, it was window shopping of sneakers at Foot Locker, Foot Action, Athlete's Foot. I dreamed of getting expensive Air Jordans. Back then I didn't know that retro sneakers were going to be a thing. Years later in 2018, I managed to get my favorite Jordans at a retail price of $190 + tax. I've outgrown the sneaker nostalgia collecting.
Beautiful song reminds me of Seattle the sadness the happiness I’m not from there but if I was rich enough I would buy it and make it beautiful for all Seattle people 🥹💛☀️
I was just there this week. That nail salon is now also closed. Kinda eerie to see this stretch of the dead mall, with only a Coke vending machine placed central within the chasm.
Kind of sad that a place with so many of my childhood memories (Picking out a birthday gift at Kay Bee Toys, shopping with my Dad at Ernst Hardware, clothes shopping with my Mom at Sears and JC Penny, etc. etc.) just doesn't exist anymore.
I was a foreign student at UW in 1978-1980. Northgate Mall I believed was the 1st Mall in the US at that time. I spent most weekends there. Why is it like this now?
@@zakirazak5812 yea you're right! it's first Westfield Mall! I think this mall is smaller compared with many new Malls around here and now more like a empty walk Way 😔
It's nice they kept some of the original mall but I don't even remember this part of the mall and I've been in there many times! I think this part of the mall was dead even when it was a full mall!

Don't waste your money. If you were rich then the City Councule will demand all your money for their "programa" so you would never be rich enough.

Thanks for sharing the information! It seems like no one wants to go inside this Mall 😕 😪 it's just an empty walkway, lol 😆
@@4kFamilyFunWalk I'm surprised they haven't sealed it off yet.
I enjoyed the drive around here, looks like a really nice place and it was nice to look inside the mall too ~ Anna

Ive grew up to this mall living in rainer beach in 80s. Sad to see how depressing it is now😢
It's sad 😔
Azteca Mexican Restaurant shut down and closed just before New Years.
Oh really 🤔 that's sad!
I saw that. Closed down.

It's changed alot since, just couple stores inside but doing business here isn't better 😊
