Newport Coast Pickleball Courts Grand Opening, May 20, 2024

A May 20, 2024 ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the grand opening of the Newport Coast Pickleball courts, located adjacent to the Newport Coast Community Center at 6401 San Joaquin Hills Rd.
Dozens of eager pickleball enthusiasts in attendance were the first to use the new courts, and an inaugural match was held between City council members and commissioners. The complex features six public courts, which are available for play from 7 a.m. until dusk each day. The City's Recreation and Senior Services Department will be coordinating classes and league play.
The project was a partnership between the City and Newport Ridge Community Association.
