Awesome guys!! The sunset, the colors of the sky & the reflection on the water is just breath taking. And when you think that the day is through, a whole new world of creatures came to life. Congrats on the soon to re-opening of Uepi. All the best in your preparations.
Isn’t it just beautiful watching those colours evolve in the sunset. Our favourite time of day! Yes it’s an entirely new world to discover at night and the crab walk was so cool.. it’s incredible that we have the worlds largest land crab in our forest right next to our new home!! This place is very special 😁
We definitely get some amazing sunsets here!!! Thanks for commenting.. it's always so nice to hear from people who have themselves experienced the magic of Uepi!
Love these stories- Always brings back happy memories of our very special times in the Solomons. Great to hear you will be opening soon. The world is such a different place these days. Take care ! 👏👏❤️
Ohh I’m so glad our vids are giving you the good vibes of Uepi days! It’s a very different and challenging world for us now indeed. Hoping it all goes as well as possible 😅
Thanks for sharing the happiness that is Uepi. Cake baking, sunset watching, walking in the forest....just wonderful to watch and share. The music during the coconut crab story was so beautiful! Just perfect for telling their story. Coming back in October and thanks to you we'll take the time to appreciate each coral head, each fish and each sunset so much more!
oohhh Ann I am SO happy you will be here so soon!!! That has made my day! I am truly grateful that our videos have inspired you in this way and hope we can continue it... I look forward to enjoying some special Uepi moments with you in October!
Love Love Love..Looks like you guys are loving life back in Uepi. Another Awesome episode K & J. Keep em coming...Netflix eat your heart out. How cool are those coconut crabs and the wonderful colours that you have captured....mmmmmm cake your making us hungry...
Thanks so much!!!! So happy to be home on the island and enjoying all the riches like lime ginger cake with the flavour punch and seeing magnificent coconut crabs!! The kids were totally thrilled with a night time adventure too... haha out for the stars and all!!
Hey Katie & Jase, thanks, as always, for the privilege of being able to view through a tiny portal to the wonders of Uepi life. Off to Rarotonga soon for three weeks pretending to amateur marine photographers!
Yes we definitely need to do a crab walk next time you are here!!! Kids loved it... I think if we put coconuts out for a few nights we might see some bigger ones later at night too... Super fun!! Ha ha yes Rossco is usually in cameraman mode by choice haha
Omg. Watching this makes me so want to get back to Uepi!! Can’t wait to see what y’all have done to the place. Great conservation messaging on the coconut crabs. 👍🏻 I remember seeing a number of them when we visited Tetepare/Uepi in 2012. Thank you for the lovely peace you capture in your videos and for sharing your life with all of us. As always - your kids are just too damn cute. 😍
Ohh I’m glad you’ve done the crab walk… it’s such a cool think to do and yet I don’t know why it took me so long to do it.. now with the kids being old enough to stay up a little later, I’m so happy we did it with them as they make everything even more fun! A beautiful adventure. Our world here is so special We are so happy to share it with you through these videos 😊
Wonderful!! They’re so beautiful aren’t they! We’re thinking our guests will see them on the path walking home now that the path runs through the jungle more than before!
Yes 🙌🏼 we’re hoping to be open by October if all continues to go well!! The new bungalows are just incredible and the old views from any bungalow are just as good 🌴😎
Good to see some new accommodation being built - last time we were there (2016) our cabin was really showing its age. It's a big wide diving world out there - you have to keep up with the competition ;) .
Yes our original bungalows are 30+ years old. Feeling very fortunate to be in a position where we can be making improvements despite almost 3 years with zero income. These new bungalows are something we’re really proud of achieving in the midst of our toughest years. So excited to be welcoming guests again soon to share the underwater world!!
Haha sounds like something that might happen. Haha now with our new route through the jungle to the new bungalows and up to our new place.. you won’t need a boat ride for the crab walk 😉
Cabins are looking so good aren't they! You can choose haha... there's 3 new ones which will be in action very soon!! Our focus for now is getting the resort back up and running so really can't say when medical tours will start again...
