Welterusten Gerben, Rianne & Benjamin! 😀 The landscapes, the blue waters, calm days, and the places you are going to be....You forget about the problems, it's really worth it! 😀
Hahahaha goedemiddag Duarte, thats Feeling the Breeze man... the moment we hoist the sails we forget everything. Thanks for your support, it’s a pleasure to have you onboard our journey 💙
Love the vibe on your channel, a real family who don't pretend to be something they're not. I genuinely have the utmost respect for people like yourselves, continue to be pragmatic and chilled and you won't go far wrong.
That’s amazing to hear Graham, we share our raw story with all the beauty and ugliness inside. Our mission is to inspire and help as many people as possible to live their best life as soon as possible. We know how life can change overnight. You made us emotional in a good way, sometimes we receive some comments we have to go to the US with our fake attitude and that hurts. So thank you for your comment, we kept going and stay close to ourselves and follow our path we created. It’s a pleasure to have you onboard 💙
Very nice, kids. I love watch how Benjamins mind works as he is discovering things. Those little wheels never stop turning, (unfortunately sometimes, when there are newly discovered buttons to mash) Chuckle. We are going places now! Thanks for bringing us along.
Thanks Colin for watching and letting us know.... Benjamin is full on and the wheels keep spinning. The boat is one big playground for him. It’s our pleasure to have you onboard our journey, enjoy! Much love from us 💙
Glad your safety items are out and your using them! Your back up plan for breakdowns looks and sound solid! That beautiful boat is cutting well and digs deep into those waves! No problem there! Blessings and safe prayers!
Goodmorning Scott, thanks for your enthusiasm and energy, we really appreciate it. When the Perfect Sense digs the waves she is in her element, behaving as a grand dame. Much love from us for you and your love. 💙
one of the best sailing channels I've seen so far. Wow ... such beautiful pictures and the family that feels so alive. Thanks for everything is an Inspiration 💙🙏🏼
WoW, no we are wondering how many sailing channels you are watching 😂 It’s amazing to read your comment and you really touched our hearts. It’s our pleasure to have you onboard. Much love from us. 💙
Another wonderful video, it's refreshing to see the family activity all working together. Benjamin seems to have unlimited amounts of energy, just great to watch. Thanks for sharing, fair winds and safe travels.
Thanks Larry, great to read you like it. Benjamin has indeed an unlimited amount of energy and is unstoppable. Luckily he is able to use it and is becoming a great deckhand. It’s our pleasure to have you onboard our journey 💙
Thanks for another cool video, ihope you get things worked out and we get to see some deep water and different country sailing, just take your time and make sure things are working great, we will be here watching, stay safe.
We can’t wait to sail to deeper waters and different countries, the border between Turkey and Greece is still closed for private yachts. We decided not to push for it but let it go with the flow, it’s so great to read you are there watching and taking care of us 💙
Very cool. So amazing that you guys are taking on an adventure like this! Truly an epic family adventure. Godspeed, good luck and smooth seas! Will definitely be following!
Hi Brace fam adventure, what an amazing message to receive. Thank you so much! It’s a blessing to have such great and supportive people around us here on RUclips and we are excited to be able to take you along on our journey virtually. Have an amazing day!
I live in CA now but really miss Turkey and the people. I grew up in Yalova and Ankara, my Father was stationed there. My Mom was from Istanbul. My fondest memories of my childhood are of times in the Princess Islands (mostly Buyuk Ada and Kinali) Bodrum, Mugla, Fetiye,. I can’t wait to see the other places you will visit,. Especially Fetiye! It’s an absolute gem. Yolun acik olsun abicim. Sending love to you and your beautiful family and the people of Turkiye.
Hi John, thanks for watching and sharing your story. It’s amazing here, we are in Gocek/Fethiye now preparing to say farewell to Turkey. We fell in love with Turkey, the people, the food, the nature it’s all amazing. It’s our pleasure to have you onboard our journey. Have you seen our video about the roadtrip to Cappadocia? Much love from us and all the beautiful people here 💙🇹🇷
@@FeeltheBreeze no, I haven’t seen the Cappadocia video yet. But I will be sure to watch it! Oh the food especially the Iskender Kebab! Looking forward to following all of your circumnavigation. Much love and fair winds my friend!
Such a beautiful family sharing such memories what's not to like, Seems as if they have their priorities right and neither is unprepared for the unexpected. Good job btw getting Benjamin to wear that life vest on shore.
Thank you Rich for your nice words, we learned the hard way to be unprepared for the unexpected, we always say, we have plan in life but life has a plan with us too. So we take it as it comes and go with the flow, that saves us so much energy. Much love from us 💙
It takes time to get your boat just right, that said glad it seems to be coming together on yours as its been a long journey for you guys. Enjoy what will be an amazing journey and experiance for all of you. God-speed my friends…
That’s a wonderful message James, thank you! It’s indeed a long journey, today exactly one year ago we drove away from the Netherlands towards Turkey. We love what we are doing and every day we pinch ourselves when we wake up. It’s a blessing to have you onboard our journey. Much love from us.
Thank you Kathleen, great to read you love our videos and all the details. Living 24/7 on a sailingboat is a steep learning curve on every levels. 💙 it’s a blessing to have you onboard.
Now it's for real...! The sailing has really started, right? Beautiful images as always of the landscapes and that beautiful sailboat of yours. Looking forward to the next videos. Here everything is in order, I'm fully recovered, now I'm focusing on physical conditioning. Kisses & hugs from this old Brazilian sea wolf.
Indeed, no way back 😂 the real deal! Sailing, making miles, exploring countries whilst setting up and expanding our companies. It’s great to hear you are fully recovered and focusing on the physical condition. I (Gerben) remember my recovery after all the chemo therapy and surgery, not an easy job but with determination you will get there and we are sure you will. Probably cycling, right? Much love from us healthy Brazilian Sea Wolf 💙
Thanks Danny, we hope so too. We will just keep going and we are very excited we are finally able to really start sailing the world and show you all the different countries, seas and oceans. Beautiful sailing- Beautiful Scenery. But I’m always hungry when I watch your videos (after seeing the meals)-/ and then this one ends with a grocery boat!!! 😁😂🤦🏽♀️ (....off I go to my kitchen...). Awesome video 🧡
Hahahaha Michelle... we are also always hungry too. When we make something it’s gone before we know it. Always active, wind, salt and sun makes us a bunch of hungry bears. So very curious what you created in your kitchen... thanks for your unconditional support, really appreciate it and it’s a pleasure to have you onboard 💙
Hi how are you doing and how is Ben . We met at D Marine Gocek about two weeks ago hope your sailing is going well where are you now . I enjoyed watching this and will follow you . Take care ❤️❤️we were with our friends on the sailboat ⛵️ Melina
Hi Randa, glad to see you here. Great to read you enjoyed watching our journey. We are still in Göcek area to finish all our projects before we head towards Malta. All the best and much love from us 💙
Hahaha that’s great to hear to have you onboard for the long term. The Finsulate is working really well, we didn’t clean it for 8 months now and will create an extra video about 🥰
Gerben, the curler has a double fuse. The 1st one goes if you furl in too much wind (too much weight on the curler). it switches back after 10 mins. Best is to unpowered the genoa by turing downwind, then furl little by little. Give it a try.
Hi Hakan, so cool to see you over here. We know the furler has a double breaker and never experienced a belt breakage before and now two times. We found out Benjamin push the button sometimes when it’s furled and probably stretch the belt. And... because the furler was lying on the ground for a year the oil inside (which is not necessary) the furler ruined the first belt and engine. Keep you posted, the PS is now back in Gocek where she was located the first years of her being on the water. We hope you are doing well and watch our videos with a smile on your face seeing the PS. 💙
Ahoy!:) I just finished all the episodes, and catch up with you. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Just a small question, you were saying in one of the past videos that you were going to record a video about the refitting cost. I finished watching all but did not see it:) Is it possible for you to record a video about the costs, including the refit and marina costs? All the best.
Ahoy 🤩 WoW, that’s amazing! You binge watched all our videos 💙 we didn’t record the video regarding the refit project yet. Working on it but we definitely will do. Including all the costs etc
We are waiting for your simple, impressive and expected videos. Sailboat and Benjamin are ours now. We like Benjamin's bike very much. keep following you
Hahaha that’s a great compliment Mr. Mehmet, the words simple and expressive is exactly our aim and impressive of course. Thanks for being such a loyal viewer 💙
Thanks John, that’s nice to hear, we grow naturally and we really love doing it. We come from road tripping, to refit and now sailing so we hopped from niches within RUclips, not beneficial for the algorithm but that’s it. It’s our story and adventure and really appreciate all the support we receive from all of you. It’s a pleasure to have you onboard our journey and really appreciate your support 💙
Thanks for the video! Nice to see the places where I've also been a couple of weeks ago. P.S. Very curious about you passage from Turkey to EU waters. 2 weeks ago I was told in Turkey that the sea border between Turkey and Greece is already open for private boats, but I couldn't check it because I had to leave. Is it true?
So we missed you, we were there three weeks ago. We are just preparing our trip to EU waters and seems we are not allowed to check in since our originating country is Turkey, we just heard we are able to transit and are allowed to do fuel stops and groceries so we go for that. It’s a strange situation since crossing the border by car is no problem. Anyway, we are ready to leave Turkey and set sail westwards. Thanks for watching Morten.
Hey guys, I was wondering if you both have practiced man overboard drills without any help and practiced getting a disabled loved one onboard? I think many take that part for granted because often an injury is what causes the MOB. 👍👍👍
Hey Clay, thank you for reminding us. We practiced MOB several times with the two of us but never with Benjamin onboard. We should do it again and again to make it our standard procedure again without thinking how, what and where. Hope you liked this episode 🤩
Fijne avond en Feel the Breeze.
Hi, I tried to follow u on "Marine Traffic". - But there are different "Perfect Sens" Sailing Vessels: from NO, from AU and from GB: But no one from the NL???? Where can I find u????
Aha I wasn't making that comparison. Just sayin that a man dog? overboard is a tragedy that never has to happen. Little pups can skitter across the deck and over the side.
Please don't stop exploring Turkey in Kaş!! You will visit Patara Ancient City which is capital of Lycian Union. Keep sailing a few days more to east of Turkey because there are 3 more ancient cities( Olympos, Phaselis and Side) and I still can't decide which one is better. That takes at most 2 days. You will thank me if you visit them. I actually have many place to suggest but it's not easy to write at once :D. You will find out if you searc on google. Have a nice trip
We won’t Kutay, we are now in Fethiye and will continue south/east before we go west. Thanks for all the info, and will thank you again when we visit them. It’s all so so beautiful over here. Keep you posted and great you are watching our videos, much appreciated 💙🇹🇷
Thanks for asking, our rough plan is sailing the Med this year, cross the Atlantic this year to the Caribbean, maybe go up to NY and down again to cross the Panama channel to the Pacific and from there we will see again. We will keep cruising as long as we love doing it. We learned, we can have a plan in life but has a plan with us too. 🤩
Dear Reanne, Gerben and Benjamin. I love the way you're filming and editing. Your Vlogs are exciting, beatiful and they tell the real story with wonderful images of Landscapes or your Boat Life. Congrats... I would like to ask you, why Benjamin wears the Lifewest during your Shore leave's? Many greets from switzerland and enjoy ....
Hello! How great to receive such a nice comment! Thanks you for not only watching but giving us a bit more breeze by sharing your enthousiasme for our videos. And good question. Well Benjamin didn’t want to take his lifejacket of for months when we were on land, and we didn’t mind. As a quite active boy he is, he falls a lot as well - so some good protection ;) Now with warmer weather he is more eager to take of his lifejacket…but still times he doesn’t want to part with it. Like his best friend ;)
@@FeeltheBreeze oh, i know😉 Our Son has sometimes the same ideas🥰 Enjoy your Trip and stay healthy and safe…! I‘ll keep watching your Videos and we‘re just sailing on the lake of Thun! A Dream to make the same move as you do….
If that is the second time the belt has failed I would seriously consider looking into a more dependable furling system. Perhaps one that could be furled and unfurled using the wench system in the cockpit. I hope you resumed your romantic dinner after everything calmed down.
Thanks Joe for your concerns and solution, the belt broke because there was too much tension on the sheets, my bet. We figured out Benjamin pushed the button when furled so now we always switch off the fuse when we don’t need it. Unfortunately we didn’t resumed our romantic dinner that night but can assure you we found another moment behind anchor. You will see it in the next Vlog. Really appreciate your comment 😍
Every relative and friends that sail always tell me how much work and time goes into fixing parts every time something breaks. I guess it just reaffirms the saying that nothing great in life comes easy.
Your relatives and friends are totally right, it’s like raising a child 😂 We wouldn’t own a boat if we were only on it for a few weeks a year. To keep a sailing boat in top condition is a full time job especially when you are constantly onboard. But.... we wouldn’t change it for anything else at the moment. Thanks for your support. 🤩
Hahaha that’s amazing Denny, we would love to receive your recipe for focaccia bread without kneading, it’s like you read our mind. We just mentioned it last week, we should make our own bread. Here in the bays in Turkey the bake fresh bread every day and it’s delicious 🤩
I don't understand your plan. Are you looking to live on the sailboat traveling the rest of your lives? The reason why I say this is because I believe there will come a time when you will get sick and tired of living on a sailboat and go live on land. If so, how will you be able to afford a house by then since housing prices is going up like crazy every year in many parts of Europe , Canada, and the U.S. So while you are having fun traveling, I hope you understand you are living on a boat that is depreciating in value every year while housing on land is going up year over year. For example, in Oct 2019, I purchased a old 1300 square feet 3bed 2bath home built in the 1980s for about $800K in San Jose California. Now the house is worth $1.1M which is a 300K appreciation in just 2 years. Going at this rate most young people will never be able to afford a house if they have not purchased a home already. What about saving for retirement? Unless you guys are already wealthy, it is all fun and games until reality hits you.
If you really want to know our plan, vision, why we sold Rianne’s home, why we went sailing, etc please have a look at our website and blog post. We are very happy for you are doing so well. And by the way, reality hit multiple times already with having cancer and going bankrupt. Our reality is embracing life to the fullest, discover the world by sailing boat and share our gifts to the world. By the way, money for nothing, Dire Straits is a great song. We keep playing. Have a great day and look forward to your reply after you read our website and blogposts.

And... because the furler was lying on the ground for a year the oil inside (which is not necessary) the furler ruined the first belt and engine. Keep you posted, the PS is now back in Gocek where she was located the first years of her being on the water. We hope you are doing well and watch our videos with a smile on your face seeing the PS. 💙
Ahoy!:)
I just finished all the episodes, and catch up with you.
Hahaha..For a moment, I thought that you would go back to Didim after the furler's break.. :)))))))))))
Hahahahaha that would have been funny.... if that was the case we can be sure we would never leave Turkey 😂 A part of sailing is fixing stuff 😂
Beautiful 🤩
You are beautiful yourself, without you we couldn’t capture all these beautiful moments 💙
Guys, please consider going to Portugal, check for Ria Formosa and all the islands in front of the cost
Hi Miguel, we will, maybe on the way back as one of the last legs before we sail into the Mediterranean again. Save the best for last 🤩
its nice to see your getting popular
Thank you
For Feeling the Breeze 💙
Hey guys, I was wondering if you both have practiced man overboard drills without any help and practiced getting a disabled loved one onboard? I think many take that part for granted because often an injury is what causes the MOB. 👍👍👍
Hey Clay, thank you for reminding us. We practiced MOB several times with the two of us but never with Benjamin onboard. We should do it again and again to make it our standard procedure again without thinking how, what and where. Hope you liked this episode 🤩
Did you guys go to Malta, I thought I've seen your vessel few weeks ago in Gnejna bay, north west of Malta?
We wish, still stuck in Turkey, it’s not easy to cross the border at the moment towards Greece but Malta is definitely on the list. 🤩
The Best
Ha Alexander, thanks for letting us know. What do you mean by the Best?
Fijne avond en Feel the Breeze.
“Guilty”
Hi, I tried to follow u on "Marine Traffic". - But there are different "Perfect Sens" Sailing Vessels: from NO, from AU and from GB: But no one from the NL???? Where can I find u????
Hi Thomas, we are not searchable on Marine Traffic because we like to have our privacy
I have dogs so I put chain link fence on my lifelines some thing to consider with small children as well.
Interesting, thanks for sharing. If you want to compare Benjamin with a type of dog, which one do you think?
Aha I wasn't making that comparison. Just sayin that a man dog? overboard is a tragedy that never has to happen. Little pups can skitter across the deck and over the side.
Come to Boston area! Need any canvas repairs, I'll do for u!
Hi Denise, deal! Watch our next video about the Boattour, we have some jobs for you 🤩 Great to have you onboard!
#EPIC
You are EPIC yourself 🤩

As a cowboy you know 💙, thanks for watching and best wishes. Much love from us.
Thank you, we are waiting for a photo shoot from you onboard the Perfect Sense 💙
@@FeeltheBreeze I hope we will have a chance to make it happen:)
so, whats your plan sailing the world. 1,2,3 or more years. Which route are you gonna take, maybe you can share a bit
👌💯
🤩😍💙
Oops Denny from Minnesota
Who else?! 💙
As always Great Show
Food for thought would you like
My recipe for no knead focaia bread
With all the awesome olive oil you have
Hahaha that’s amazing Denny, we would love to receive your recipe for focaccia bread without kneading, it’s like you read our mind. We just mentioned it last week, we should make our own bread. Here in the bays in Turkey the bake fresh bread every day and it’s delicious 🤩

Hi Selim, thanks for watching and letting us know you hear us 🤩

Thank you Brian, still in Turkish waters over here so don't let the Turks know ;)
I don't understand your plan.
