Is it a good idea to have the brake lines between the fork and the wheel? I mean it might be OK for gravel, street... but what about when wheel is full of mud?
Every modern dirt bike has its front brake line run between the fork guard and wheel. They get ridden in far worse conditions than ADV bikes do and it's never an issue. Why do you feel this is a problem on an ADV bike?
@@CamelADV what I meant was, is it Ok to have the line between the tyre and the fork? dirtbikes have the hose go around the fork much lower... Just a question / suggestion, no harm ment :)
@@AlexandruGaal Good question, I was wondering the same. You guys @Camel ADV made the break lines fold around the fork right where the tire gets close to the fork fenders 24:53 And if the tire would pick up some sticky mud, those could possibly get swept out of position?
I had not thought about where you folks were but when I heard you say "dec-al" instead of de-cal I knew you must be Canadian. Amazing engineering. I have not been tempted to do the high fender but had wondered about the brake lines and crossover. After watching the video I realized the fender is the smallest part of what you have created
Just installed it this afternoon, I used the Polisport UFX . I did grind it the rear holes alt an 1/8 with a drill bit. , it must be a new design? It works with the factory radiator guard! More clearance than the full size one in the video. I still need to trim the fork guards . No issues, I still need to bleed the brakes better! It was getting dark. I was missing one hose/abs line keeper .
Hey, I love the look of the T7 with a high fender, but I'm worried about driving higher speeds on the highway with it. Does it cause wiggling or something when going like 90 mph?
ALWAYS wondered about the 2 different models. One high-fendered and the other a low-fender model. THINK I’d just get the HIGH anyway..unless that’s a later model.
I just installed this kit tonight, using a 2020-style YZ250/450 full size fender from Polisport. It’s a snug fit but everything clears. The modern style looks great and the fender is much more rigid than the 2005 style, so there will be less tendency to for the front of the fender to oscillate in the wind at highway speed. @Camel ADV Can you reply with the center-to-center distance of the front unused threaded holes?
The multiple fastener types is very annoying, especially on an ADV bike. More tips in the tool roll, more weight on the bike. Yamaha did so well with my R6. Just a few types of fasteners. Now it will be like working on a Harley.
Yea fo 200 buck it better come with the fender I can get the tusk kit with the fender for 50 bucks less and I can get the alt ridder for 30 bucks more with the fender included

I was thinking “nooo” not INSIDE…ha ha ha
@@JovanMladenovic yeah, mud..debris I thought might be more of an issue INSIDE toward the wheel, etc
awesome video Cory, very thorough, glad you showed the fender clearance with the forks fully compressed
We can cut the old fender and leave the rear part on the bike to make it look like the European version and leave all those hoses and cables .

Great work, and well thought out.. Full fender looked great.
Thanks for the vid. It shows a lot of things to contemplate for a high fender.
so looking forward to buying these kits and eventually getting the tenere to mount them on.
Great job, great video! thank you very much!! you guys do great products too by the way!!
Actually I have the same taste!! .. I love the hight Fender ! Great vídeo and congrats! Hugs and go forwad!

wonder if that kit restricts air flow to the radiator, as I know high fender made xt660z to turn fan more often.
It would be interesting to see if this adversely affects the gas mileage in any perceivable way?

A little late to comment, could you compile a small list on engine crash bars that are compatible with the high fender please

After installing this, does the engine still stay cool? Seems like it will restrict airflow to the radiator.
Looks great, Good stuff like that look better
How is the mud throw back on the rad when using the high fender, compared to the original low fender?
are these custom steg pegz? i need them
curious what parts you had from Suspension101 in this video (i saw the sticker)
Wasn't it possible to study a solution for the 2 types of mudguards? (low and high)
I like that plastic kit on it. You guys sell that too?

Random question: what belly stand is that? Is nice and compact.
No idea. It was from Princess Auto (Canadian Harbour Freight).
Que diferencia hay entre los guardabarros que recomendais?? cuál es más pequeño???
Acerbis is the smallest, then the Polisport UFX.
Hello..i need replace the standard radietor protector ?
Depends which fender you use
is this kit compatable with steel brakelines instead of the original ones?
The kit includes new stainless hoses.
Is it fit for all motorcycle for example Aprilia Tuareg 660? I would like one set for my Tuareg 😀
No, it is not universal, it is specific to the T7.
I love the look. But one of the appeals for me is that the tenere is a simple reliable machine. This seems like a lot of work just for a fender.
If you ride in mud you'll have to do this anyway, before or after the stock fender breaks, it'll be up to you.
@@v1kku If you ride in mud you don't want to have the brake lines rubbing against the mud... IMO
@@AlexandruGaal yeah the brake line routing on this kit could be better.
Very surprised y’all are shipping out products with your logo upside down.......
