- "And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle [is] the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands." And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine..." -1 Samuel 17:47-48
The two books of Samuel form a basic foundational study in the Old Testament. An understanding of this basic history is essential, not only to understanding the Old and New Testament, but in gaining a valid perspective of eschatological issues as well.
This study contains 16 hours of verse-by-verse teachings.

Morning🙋..you got this!!! I started smoking when I was 9...I finally quit 7 years ago at 47...I craved pretty bad the first 3 months, but I sacrificed my wants for Jesus..the least I could do, and I never even slipped up once, even when around family who are heavy smokers. He took all desire from me....I sure don't miss em...

Solomon had to be born for Scripture to be complete. Does this mean G0D wanted David to sin? No! It means that Uriah - gung-ho soldier that he was - would have died in battle. And David likely would have married Bathsheba, a widow, as David married Abigail. This means Solomon would have been born, Scripture he wrote (or transcribed) would have been written, and David would NOT have sinned against G0D!
Would David's words (G0D's Word) have changed? Not my question to answer.
But David ran ahead of G0D, as so many do - like Abraham and Hagar.
