You feel like you’re pressing buttons on the ps1 ? . well that’s pretty much what it was back then was pressing buttons lol . in some ways I wished they bring that concept back for some games that really don’t need use of the analog

Also Hearing the crowds get pumped up after huge plays always sent chills down my back…honestly I always felt NCAA games were more fun to play than Madden

It's kind of sad to see these ancient NCAA games with features that Madden games don't have today.
The only thing that I have is the two little things I need and then 😅😅
NCAA 2001 had create a team and all the Div 1AA teams (FCS). You could even play a season as those teams in some of their conferences. It also had a playoff option if you didn’t want to play in the bowls.

Ncaa 06 actually had the Fcs teams too which are really fun to use
Back when they were trying my to make the best game possible, not chasing niche game modes that could be further monetized

Ncaa games always felt like they had more heart put into them than madden. I could be biased bc im much more of a cfb fan than nfl but from all my experiences playing these games over the years ncaa always was more fun
I like how when you played with Michigan in NCAA 99’ Tom Brady was the QB. Prolly unintentionally but it still shows how long he has been playing

@@Plunderingpirates Brady was good in college. They just had this other guy that they thought was the greatest since sliced bread. And they would bench him and Brady would come in and lead them to victory several times. I’m not saying he was great, but he just was in a messed up situation.

NCAA 99 - 2001 we're pretty much the best years ever made for college football games. Then there was '06, '10, '13, and '14.
Another cool less known feature that the older games had; is if you played an exhibition game on a holiday like thanksgiving, christmas, New Year's, the announcers would recognize it and say happy thanksgiving, merry christmas, happy New Year everyone.
What games had that
BS!!! Those games had NOTHING on Bill Walsh College Football and College Football USA 94-97. Those games were 1,000 x better than NCAA games.

In NCAA 2001, RB #21 for the Hurricanes was actually half back James Jackson. McGahee wore #2 and didn't enter the Canes picture until 2002.

Brought back so many memories. NCAA football 2002 was the first NCAA game I ever played, and believe it or not, I still have it to this day. NCAA 06 is my favorite football game of all time.

@@thesnorman-graffiti3315 I suggest you purchase 1 now from a classic game store. Trust its worth the investment. As the years pass it's tough to get hardware for classic consoles.
@@marcosmireles7545 I ended up purchasing a brand new copy of NCAA 06 at my local antique store for only 3 dollars instead of buying a brand new copy over 100 dollars on amazon. So I do agree that its worth the investment.

So many great childhood memories with my friends packed into this video. We used to have an annual NCAA tournament when the new game released and those are some of my favorite memories growing up. I'm late seeing this but thanks for the great video!

I remember for the later PS2 versions- if you took the time to type in your team's roster or if you just downloaded the roster onto the memory card...the announcers would actually say and announce the player name's after a big play. So it's like they weren't supposed to have anything to do with the player except for their number and stats since they are an NCAA student, but EA still went ahead and prerecorded all the big player names into the game which would unlock just by having their name type in.

Man, it's crazy. At one point in my life I had every single copy of NCAA Football. NCAA 06' was my favorite. The pulsating impact player feature was pretty awesome. Loved the soundtrack.
Biggest thing that always made me mad was when they took out the real FCS/AA schools when they went to the 360 and ps4 and you couldn’t use those schools in campus legend modes. I just used them in dynasty mode so it wasn’t that big of a deal.
Reggie Bush stats were crazy even in madden he's a better receiver than running back

What equipment or process do you use to make the gaming video so clear from the game to youtube transfer process? I grew up a big NCAA and football Fan 06 the OG road to Glory is what got me hooked back in middle school but I'd like to eventually start uploading and documenting my own vids in the near future.

When did they start being able to switch the camera view when playing defense ?
I noticed ‘10 you can do it (clicking left joystick) but for ‘07 you can’t. I played both on the Xbox 360.

Yeah i remember that he played for K state and would always be in Heisman running,then when he got to Madden he was just as unstoppable
He’s in NCAA’s 2002-2005. I remember in 2004, he would usually win the Heisman in Dynasty mode.

The last couple iterations of this game (11-14 or so) still hold up as the absolute best sports video games of all time. Crazy thing is Kirk Ferentz coached Iowa in almost all of these seasons… go Hawks!!
The RB #22 is Quentin Griffin! Scored the go-ahead touchdown in the 2001 National Championship game against Florida State.
The difference between 2001 and 2002 are insane. My personal favorite was 07 with Reggie bush on the cover. Put some serious hours on that one. 2013 was great too.

NCAA Football 2005 was the first game to have FCS (1AA) rosters. I created all the FCS teams that wete not in the game like Lehigh, Lafayette, Bucknell, Holy Cross, Colgate, Georgetown, Fordham, Albany, Sacred Heart, Stony Brook, Davidson, Austin Peay, Morehead State, Drake, Butler, Valparaiso, Marist and Iona, Jacksonville, NC Central and Winston-Salem St., Savannah State, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, North Dakota, South Dakota, San Diego, UC Davis, Southern Utah, and some D2 and D3 powerhouses like Valdosta State, NW Missouri State, Grand Valley State, Mount Union, Wis-Whitewater, andseveral others.
Can’t wait til they bring this game back. Midnight releases were great you meet really cool ppl
My cousin had NCAA Football 99, so that one really brings back the memories. The versions I later got and played myself were the '02, '04 and '07 games.

I miss these games so much. I wish they would bring them back, or, at least make them backwards compatibility. As a Boise State fan, I loved (and still own a hard copy) of 2008. Fun video!
The PS1 actually did have dual analog sticks, but not right when it was released. And even then, not every game used them.
So many memories. I've played and owned all of these, maybe missing 2 of them. The first one I remember is ea sports football USA 96. I miss this series and its the main reason I stopped buying/playing systems and games. If it comes back, I'm back in it every year.

My first Ncaa was 2004 i was 7 and it made me a fan of football put so many hours in it. I had every Ncaa after 04 and I have to say 06 and 14 are my favorites

Quinton Griffin is number 22 for Oklahoma on NCAA 02. He is from Houston Texas. My friends used to compare me to him. When we reach Duncanville high school in 2004.

Hopped on the NCAA football series in '07. Still miss being able to bench players for certain lengths of time as a disciplinary thing to be honest. Also miss being able to move Division II schools up to Division I, used to do that all the time with Missouri State and WIU.
Edit: Thing I miss the most though has that mode that actually felt like a balancing act between classes to keep up the GPA, practices to get better, etc., instead of those microtransactions and kind of empty feeling 'bonuses'. "Huh, well okay, I just selected a boost for a game, gonna be a lot harder to take down against X team. Oh, there's another one I earned enough points to get that'll make me faster permanently. I can actually buy more of these?"
